It never fails to amaze me that when you drill down to the foundations of every successful farm that there has always been strong women who in times of set backs and struggle take the reins , hold it together and pave the way for family success. Great stuff.
Thoroughly enjoyed this.
I roared with laughter....you are both so funny. Thanks for cheering ne up!!.
Our pleasure!
Best pod cast so far graham was great and kept cammy on this toes
Great video I want a from Graham
Another very enjoyable podcast. Thank you for sharing with all of us armchair farmers. We're living the dream without all the work!😊
Well Iona and Cammy you certainly do your homework finding very interesting and easy to listen to people. Greame certainly has put a lot of planning and effort into what he has achieved and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to him. Keep it up you two they just keep getting better and better cheers
Great podcast again thanks Cammy and Iona ❤
Thanks for listening
Good one. Love to hear how they come to the way they run their farms. 😊
Another great one. Love hearing the data info. Excellent guest & extremely interesting. Great questions Cammy & Iona 👏🐑🌾🐄😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
I find it interesting when you speak of their start into farming, due to not liking to further your education elsewhere. I find this network of sharing and consulting seems to be more effective. The community supports each other by techniques, new breeds, technology, and even tricks of the trades. Fed by Farmers is for me the podcast I enjoy every week as I love the information and the community.
Good to hear that sheep farmers are still using turnips aka swedes as a forage. When I was younger so many crofters would have an acre or 2 planted with them for January, February forage.
Really interesting, possibly 1 of the best yet
The whole grazing segment at around 45 min was really interesting. I’ve watched Joel Salatin and Richard Perkins for a few years now and their systems of which animal follow which and when is very interesting. Especially as it directly improves the soil health and reduces pest pressure.
Really interesting and a great speaker
Thanks again to all of you thats brought us another interesting pocast.
Brilliant podcast.......
This has been such an informative podcast but funny all at the same time. Who said learning was boring! Cammy you don’t need to write anything down, you just need to watch this podcast back. 🙂
How exciting for Cammy and Lizzy! Great podcast and can't wait to see the new lambs.
We wanna see Cammy play the pipes!!!
I should have seen this coming!
Great Podcast again. Thanks everyone
Pleasure to hear his story and views.
You did right about the shelter to give you a better chance with your multiples.
I expect some volume since you struggled for space last year.
You change up the feed, you can avoid health issues waiting..
Hope Sandi can offer a few points to watch with a larger lot under roof.
Enjoy your week 🦋🌻
I'm from NZ. I went to a rural school and I studied Agriculture and horticulture as my science options when I was a teenager.
Great podcast 👏👏👏 love hearing about successful farming stories and getting into the numbers. It’s easy Cammy, run as many big ewes that you know you can easy get a lambing shed for and have all the rest all these easier ultimate sheep to punch out big numbers. Good luck 😜
Fantastic interview!
Thanks for another great educational podcast!❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Brilliant podcast as always keep up the good work really enjoyed it.❤️
Great podcast again, looking forward to see what your new tup does on your sheep Cammy, hope all goes smoothly ❤
I hope so too!
I always learn so much!!
Excellent podcast!
I'm from galashiels and a palemerk live in Brisbane now but love farming love the podcast and got sheep game merchandise I'll send some photos
WOW to a non sheep person Graeme is very interesting
Cammy can you announce that Dalscone has two lost sheep at the farm so maybe their owners will know where they are?
Shhhh! 😅 I love them and want them to stay 😂
Another thing to consider between the 2 systems is the cull ewe price between the 2. Big texel x ewe could be £200 as a cull what’s an easycare? Never seen any sold
If you have one of Graeme’s great tops, you need to keep back some of his boys from the easiest lambers. Then you grow a better quality top that you aren’t paying extra for.
This was a good one 👌👌 I still want to know why neeps or beet though!? Ha
If you don't have enough grass it's a good alternative and turnips have good nutrients for livestock.
texel base shedding sheep but still a long tail, breeding a short tail shedding sheep would be a next thing.
❤❤❤

Such A Great Chat, Maybe you could ask him to be your mentor/advisor ?? 🙂😅😇😉
I'm inclined to agree with Cammy. Horses and bikes are dangerous. I rode when I was younger, my daughter doesn't do horses or bikes. So many kids with bad injuries from bike riding. Broken arms, femur, concussion. I know of a girl who came off dirt biking, hit head first into a tree and died.
At least most horses have a sence of self preservation.
10000 odd views 400 odd likes just hit the like button ffs
My friends son when he was 12ish got pinned with a quad and almost died, the weight of it pressed on him every time he took a breath out....until he couldn't take a breath in.....
Terrifying. Hope he's okay now ❤️
