How to Install MySQL on Ubuntu | How To Install MySQL Workbench and Connect to MySQL Server

In This video tutorial we will learn how to install MySQL database on Ubuntu 19.04 OS and also how to install MySQL Workbench to connect to the MySQL database.
The first part of the video shows how MySQL database can be installed on Ubuntu using command line and set root password.
Second part describes how to install MySQL workbench and connect to the MySQL server.

Excellent video in 2022. All parts of the video are relevant except for the part where he installs the workbench. Fast foward to 22.04 Jammy Jellyfish, Ubuntu does not have mysql-workbench in the store, neither do its descendants like Pop and Zorin. You have to install the snap version. It (the snap) may tell you that it's not built for your OS but just ignore the message, it works fine.
