Linda Hamilton transformation for the Terminator movies was amazing. She trained with a Israeli special forces soldier to transform to lean, crazy Sarah Conners for T2
Cool to mention what Rooney Mara underwent to play Lisbeth Salander for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, but not mention what Noomi Rapace had to do to prepare herself for the exact same role (only years earlier). Rather amiss, ScreenRant🤔!!!
I have one GREAT one that wasn’t on the list! For “Bill & Ted 3: Face the Music”, Keanu Reeves ACTUALLY learned how to play the Theremin for the musical number at the beginning of the movie! That’s a TON of work for the couple of seconds that made it into the final cut! (But I’m sure there are hours of him playing it in the cutting room floor! LOL)
Ok cool that the game of thrones ppl made the list, but they arent the only ones who learned a fictional language for a movie. Avatar saw several castmates learn the full navi language, and Milla Jovovich learned one for 5th element, tho we barely get to hear it,.
Brent Spiner learned to dance for that one scene in TNG. He did all but one really hard thing (Gates said it was hard and she choreographed it!) which he kept saying he was doing wrong. To not embarrass Gates, he used a body double for one small part but all the rest was him. He learned to do a lot of random things as Data
And the screen-grab for the video is JLaw with the bow string anchored on the OPPOSITE side of her nose--one of the stupidest places to anchor a highly taught string that you're going to let go of. Perhaps that promo shot was taken before she started to learn the skill.
Viggo Mortensen had to go through vigorous soccer (futbol) and medical training to learn how to break his toes while kicking a helmet in Lord of the Rings: the Two Towers. I'm surprised that didn't make this list.
I used to get so annoyed with my ex when he said actors have "easy" jobs. They have to learn new skills, memorize whole scripts, and stay on set for hours and hours, not just anyone can be an actor.
Donnie Yen spent nine months learning Wing Chun, the martial art for the Ip Man series. They're not Hollywood movies, but I still thought I would mention it.
Dude. u keep getting movie titles wrong. Are you like afraid if u say them right youll get a copyright ban? Its "Now You See Me" not Now you can see me Its "Winters Bone" not Winter Bones
And it isn't easy or gratifying to teach actors certain skills. I had to train several actors for roles in several military movies. One actor had a propensity to run his mouth while I was trying to teach him. Another actor shortened a cadence I taught him. And the third, he didn't really get it and looked just as bad on screen as he did in training. The studio should have cast someone else.
✋😦 Do you mean that actors who played Batman and Superman they learned how to fly with their fabric wings? And do you mean that actor who played Spiderman learn how to jump and stick to skyscrapers? And do you mean the actor who played Nutty Professor the big fart scene, he learning how to fart?
Natalie Portman learned ballerina dance in the movie Black Swan. And, Keanu Reeves's Gun shooting and reloading can't be over looked too.
Amazing how actors goes to learn a awesome skill for a movie role and beyond too.

I wonder how often they forget their skills from lack of use.
Dominic cooper actually became a priest for his Jesse custer role in AMCs preacher and it shows in the final product

That still is actually from Mockingjay Part 2 when Katniss is firing the last shot of the war. Probably a bad take that managed to make its way in.
14:30 what a *fakeout* !
I thought he learned to build his own super armor!!

"She learned to hold her breath for 5 minutes". Yea, that never happened though.

This just goes to show that if you really want to do something and dedicate time, effort, and money, then you can do it.
Awesome video 👌
When the apocalypse comes...
*Actors will survive us all* .. probably by hunting fans down...
(And pretty people will rule earth)

Thank you
It's Lisbeth SALANDER not 'Sander' lol
Donnie Yen spent nine months learning Wing Chun, the martial art for the Ip Man series. They're not Hollywood movies, but I still thought I would mention it.
Emilia Clarke literally said on an interview that she never learned dothraki or Valerian, she just repeated the lines given to her
I learned how to drink beer ... in my teens; expert at it now! ;0)
Why do people always get bows wrong...the arriw goes on the INSIDE not the outside.
I love Winter Bones
What about Russell Crowe in Master and Commander?
I am not the first,
Obviously not the last
But I am too fast
How about actors who had their teeth altered or removed for parts
how do u play the violin if not left handed? 14:42
Wow some fantastic experience gained...
Dude. u keep getting movie titles wrong. Are you like afraid if u say them right youll get a copyright ban?
Its "Now You See Me" not Now you can see me
Its "Winters Bone" not Winter Bones
I practiced to watch movies. Like a pro.
In the words of Nelson "HAha!!!" To all of the "poo pooers" for Gambits' throwing cards isn't cool!!! 😉😋😆

TOM CRUISE = LEGEND
I dont like Harley Quinn that much but I give alot of credit to Margot Robbie for her performance
Margot is an incredible actress. She does go to great lengths for the roles she plays
Nice
For some reason I believe that the narrator is Canadian 🇨🇦

Jennifer Lawrence is a terrible archer. If that were a real bow she'd have had massive bruises on her forearm. She's holding the bow wrong.

As an actor, I've learned sword-fighting, staged combat, fight choreography and tap dancing.
