Hello! I'm not sure on this as I was an exchange student and could only apply for the housing 2 months before the start of the semester. I applied as soon as the portal opened and was able to secure housing with them! However, a friend I knew who applied a few days later wasn't able to. Not anymore! But yes, I was living at Hafenstraße, one of the student housings provided by Studierendenwerk Mannheim
