I was taught that no matter how big an opponent is a man with a broken knee is the same height as any other man with a broken knee. It was good advice.
That's very true. It was very enlightening to discover how much more likely you are to not get beat up and rolled if your proximity policy calls for the legs to be challenged as soon as you can reach them with yours.
Have you any idea our hard it is to break someone’s knee lol and virtually impossible at such close quarters if you want to know our to fight learn out to box all this poking people in the eye horse shit will get you in trouble period
@@davidcottle7346 Strange, it was one of the first things I was taught to do in the Foreign Legion. I never found it that hard personally but then I suppose the Legion don't know much about fighting. Probably why they didn't teach us to box. For now I'll stick to what I know, it's served me just fine so far.
Great instructions. It’s important to note that this instruction is for a last resort situation. Diffuse the situation and walk away is the number one goal. Practice, practice, practice his instructions. Make it automatic so if god forbid you have to use it, it’s effective. Thanks for the great.
If you are not a fighter by nature then just learn one of these. When the heat of the moment comes most people will forget everything they learned. So whenever there is a public disturbance that raises everyones fear levels, bring this technique to your mind so you might remember it if the time comes. Personally, I'd recommend using the heel of your hand slightly upwards into the nose as hard as you possibly can - this is not the time to hold back with the power because you are a nice person, hit them as hard as you can or you may regret not doing so. For 20 or more seconds until the recipients endorphins kick in they will be in so much pain they will likely double over holding their face. This gives you the chance to move in and break their fingers or run away if the situation allows. I've learned this as I got older and used it once. Females can learn it. And if you are female being attacked by an unknown male, fight like a wildcat, bite hard and chew on noses and eyebrows . And rather than be bundled into any vehicle, I've told my daughters it would be better to die on the street than whatever awaits you at the end of a car journey.
This is the same advice I've given to my son and daughters at various times during their lives - "going from 'Point A' to 'Point B' with your abductor will ensure you will not be returned to 'Point B', since the average Life Span for someone who has been kidnapped is 2.5 hours (!). Also each one of my children were trained how to defend themselves and then given a 4" quick opening survival knife and taught how to use it IF they were ever dragged into a vehicle, which thank GOD never happened. Don't believe this will never happen to a member of your family as one of my grandsons was being pulled into a car thru the passenger window when several of his cousins managed to grab his legs and saved him causing the driver to leave the scene.
I like the second elbow option and it's the one I prefer. I once did a rising elbow straight up into someone's chin and thought I'd broken my own elbow, it swelled up like an orange. The point of the chin is solid and not really a sensible target for a rising elbow unless you have to. Since then I've always practiced the tight round elbow to the chin, as well as being the safest option for your elbow, it's also a more powerful shot and due to impact/rotation effect on the side of the chin, it's much more likely to knock them out... Thanks for the upload
Correct mate. You shouldn't be just saying this to people with no training or understanding. It is irresponsible and gives people a false sense of security. It tales a while to just have basic idea. You have to wonder about all these experts on social media.
Yep. The best skill is detecting the vibe of a place. You can usually sense the types hanging out in bars or nightclubs who are looking for a fight. If you are in a place when the mood changes, you can sense the testosterone and the adrenaline, just move on to a place that is more chill. We have this sense, just like all animals, but we tend to ignore the hints our instincts give us. Even experienced soldiers in Afghanistan took small hints that things were wrong (fewer bystanders, dogs barking), they sensed an ambush or an IED risk.
i actually did something like that few years ago on the 7 line subway in NYC....a guy was looking for trouble and just shoved many people as he walked though the subway car.....he shoved me and said "WHAT! WHAT!"...so i just said 'man, its too early for that $#!t ....let's go get a coffee and think about fighting later"....everyone around laughed...he actually smiled and calmed down.
Good tips. You don't choose your enemies and they might come up close to you before you have time to run or keep distance. He made good points about "telegraphing your attack" and fighting with someone who is high or drunk may not respond to pain. Fighting someone on PCP is an outlier and he will not respond to pain compliance techniques as someone who is sober.
Years ago in my small town (it was a rough old place) someone I knew was in a bar and ended up being challenged to a fight by one of the local nutters. Anyway, he said he didn't have a lot of choice, so he got up to go outside and fight in the alleyway. As soon as he stood he realised that he himself was that drunk he could barely walk in a straight line, and he thought he would be done for. Anyway, they got outside they somehow ended up rolling around on the ground grappling. The guy I knew said that he was getting pummelled and he only wanted to get out of it all, but feared he would end up in a real bad way, so as he managed to get topside of his assailant briefly, he stuck two fingers down his own throat and boffed up the contents of his stomach all over the other guy, which consisted of about ten pints of ale and his Sunday roast dinner which he'd had at the pub a few hours earlier. He said that the guy was instantly finished...utterly unable to comprehend the situation or the mess that he was now covered in. Talk about self defence mechanism huh! 🤣
I teach krav maga as well and I find your tips very useful except one fact: they work in a very close distance only. I generally prefer not to allow an opponent to close the distance so much and to use kicks to keep him away. I find low kicks to the side of the knee especially useful. In 9 cases out of 10 a good kick like this ends the fight as the bully is unable to stand anymore - at least for a couple of secs which is enough for you to flee
this stuff works only if you are fighting someone who has no training. if you are unlucky enough to meet an opponent with training in boxing, mma or muay thai.... you are gonna get worn out with a quickness. it's just a fact.
@@Daniel-yo5es True someone with training is unlikely to stand there up close and give you the opportunity to strike first. They will be preparing to strike you.
@@Daniel-yo5es Most fights involve people with zero training. People who are well trained in any of those disciplines will, generally, do anything possible not to become involved in violence for obvious reasons. The vast majority of people likely to start trouble with you would be easily disabled with any of these techniques. Krav Maga is a superb discipline for the average man on the street to successfully use in most situations.

The throat strike with extended thumb is quite likely to result in an injury known as "Gamekeeper's Thumb," which is a tear of the ulnar collateral ligament. As an orthopedic surgeon I've repaired quite a few of those. for that reason, in this particular case I believe a straight or hammer fist punch to the throat is preferable to the open hand technique shown: the throat is relatively soft and there is less likelihood of injury to the hand (finger or metacarpal fracture) than when striking the face or skull.
Wonderful advices for close combat situation. This is assuming the attacker is within range and that the attacker is not expecting a counterattack from you. However, if the attacker is guarding his or her upper body with both arms, your techniques loose their effectiveness. The take-home message is this: The most efficient way to take down an attacker is hitting the vital areas: eyes, throat, ears, etc....
2:35 I had to laugh at this one...because it took me back 10 years ago when I had to use it against a drunk in a restaurant😂. A TRUE CLASSIC. ( 4:52 lmao.. LOVE IT. )🤣
I like how the best tactic in all of these is if you cause enough damage quickly enough, just run. It really is the best advice. It doesn't make you a coward to run away. It makes you smart. Seen too many guys trying to be tough either get jumped or stabbed. Never worth it.
During the 60's 70's and 80's there were not many masters around...after the internet came along every second person is a master...and they move and have the knowledge of colors belts
My goodness mate you are spot on. Look at the comments. Most people on social media today are experts on everything . More than likely without a days training in anything. The only responsible fighting arts I've seen on here is Andre Bertel . But thats the world today. Everyone's an expert.
@@chrishooper8260 Yes agreed...Andre Bertel is very good. I was at a seminar in Sweden a number of years ago and was very impressed with GM Richard Buchan. @@Americafirst-i8q Yes the problem these days is that people learn technique a bit of stuff and they teach it on the internet. !0 15 years minimum at a high level of knowledge before you should go on the internet and teach. Its crazy how everyone is an expert after a few years. Most people think because they have put a certain time in that they are qualified...or they learn to flash or kick and punch they are an expert enough to teach..conversely someone can be in martial arts for years and still dont have the moment or knowledge where it should be to teach.
The difference between winning and loosing is your amount of determination .There is so much evil out there. You have the right to refuse to be a victim. When seconds count the cops are just minutes away.As a child I learned the boy scout moto, be prepared. As a final note, sometimes it's better to be caught this it that without it.
Something I learned by chance - if you connect with a good solar plex or groin strike, take one or two steps back. If your opponent is high or just in a rage, he might not feel either strike immediately ... until he has to lift up a leg to take a step. I've seen guys take a reverse punch or front thrust kick to the solar plex and not even blink, but when they tried to step forward to chase the other guy they went down as soon as their foot left the floor to take a step. And besides ... you're one step closer to the door. Never fight when you can run, unless you're protecting someone who can't protect themselves (or similar situation).

Best defense is to avoid an altercation at all costs. Distance is your best friend. If the perpetrator can’t reach you, he can not hit you. Most altercations take place at more than arms length which makes the techniques shown meaningless. Most perpetrators work off the element of surprise from behind the victim’s line of sight. By then, the damage has been done. It’s best to be aware of your surroundings and avoid potential threats by taking another route. Most attackers size up their victims before attacking; age, sex of victim, noticing the victim not looking around, slow or unsteady gait in walk, not making eye contact. Making eye contact is important and sends a clear message that the perpetrator is seen. This will unconsciously intimidate the perpetrator.
Fights can happen for all kinds of reasons though, and in different ways. For instance, I can see myself in a club or bar in which somebody gets too rowdy/close. The best defense is obviously not to escalate this situation if you can help it, but if completely necessary, I feel like these techniques should work in those particular circumstances, or for when you can otherwise get an unexpected first-strike on the aggressor. If anything, this video's helped me notice that there are a lot of weaknesses you can exploit in any potential combat situation, which I'm certainly going to keep in mind for posterity's sake.
Yeah... that is false. Criminals don't care. Criminals ambush... because they can. And you happen to be there. And you are not avoiding it... especially if you are with your wife and children... unless you are the type that runs away, leaving your wife and children at the mercy of the criminals.
@@gatocles99 Yes, criminals don't care. They are opportunists who victimize others because they are not aware of their surroundings; yet the criminal fully aware of the area. Like I said, avoid altercations at all costs by not placing yourself in those situations. If a person puts himself into those situations, then it was by choice, ignorance or stupidity. I did not say all altercations were avoidable. You also neglect to address the other actions I mentioned in the original post. Why? Because you know I was right.
@@jarmstrong2843 I have had 2 home invasions. Both in different cities, in good neighborhoods. How does one avoid that exactly? I also rescued a woman who was walking to work and was mugged. Did she put herself in that situation by choice? Why do you choose to save your own skin and run away, while leaving women and children at the mercy of violent criminals? :)
These techniques are excellent and likely to be effective, as long as they have been practiced, and if the aggressor is stationary and not already in fight mode. If he is it is much trickier to end the fight quickly.
1:50 no attacker is going to be just standing in front of you like that. They will either jump you from behind, club you from behind or be running at you or swinging already.
@@jimclark6256 good tip? don't get INTO any fight and if you're out in public, always look around you every so often. And.... carry some kind of stick or mace or knife or something if you are in a really bad part of town and have to be there for some reason. Avoid putting yourself into these situations. I think that's the best tip.
Yes agree on the range, your demonstrating inside striking range, I would of already completed 3 preemptive vital strikes on you before you entered inside that close. Your best tool is distance and timing. No one should ever be allowed to close that distance on you.
Thank you so much for this video ! Real professional stuff 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 However, I'm such a pacifist that I only train my running, cuz if he can't catch me he can't beat me 🤣
Especially since he’s punching downward . Maybe he’s throwing a “Pee Pee” strike? That punch would never get “up & under” to connect hard with the balls. A knee or a kick to the groin is always far more effective. 😅 😮 🤣
the same with blows to the Adam's apple, eyes, ear, etc. difficult to get into. easy to miss. That’s why strikes from classical sports (boxing, Muay Thai, karate, etc.) are much more practical. even if you miss the right point. you won’t hurt your arm (leg), and you will cause at least some damage to opponent.
1000s thanks.... Excellent teaching...simple and direct.. today I have an appointment at 530pm for self-defense class for my 9 years old son because he's getting bullied by a classmate. I told him your the only one who can protect yourself. Do not let any son-of-a- bitch to step on your toes . Bullies don chance with baby talk or psychology. Fight back even if the expel you from school.... VETTER TO DIE FIGHTING THAN TO LIVE KNEELING 1000s thanks again
Your son is probably shy. You should grab this devil by his arm and tell him to leave your son alone , tell him why are you doing that? if you are abused by your parents, tell the police, my son has nothing to do about that or you will take the devil out of you. Talk to the principal about it, usually they keep doing it when you don't react. do you know some of the kids in his school, ask them to keep one eye on the little brat, to take picture if he tried to do something to your son as evidence. When i was a kid, i was bullied maybe once by a little devil because i was shy, the next time one kid saw what he was trying to do to me, he (the good kid) started punching him (the little devil) repeatedly that was it 🙂. One day the bully pushed one girl, she went behind him, she punshed him very hard with her fist in his back, he never tried it again. Today if i was a kid, i wouldn't put up with this crap at all, this devil kid would have regretted being born. Many crazy and evil people out there, they keep acting stupid, because they want attentions. I work with some crazies in my job, one day a co worker started telling me how i should do my job, i had enough, i told him he's not my boss and better leave me alone, he stopped, the next one who will try something stupid, i will grab him by his shirt and ask to stop his BS.
I don't believe in talking to bullies. The only thing that penetrates their thick heads is a dose of their own medicine. My Mum taught me, if someone hits you, hit back, but harder!. Make them rue the day they ever messed with you. She was right. In the schoolyard, I was attacked by a vicious, older girl whom I didn't even know. Got her by the hair that grows near the temples, and yanked. She squealed like a pig. Kicked her shins, she went down, and got her face rubbed in gravel. I told her if she ever tried anything with me or anyone else, she'd get double. She ran off, howling. Thereafter, she made a point of sedulously avoiding me. They're cowards, and generally, will never return for second helpings.

I have been in alot of fights some end fast others just wear you down no matter what you do . The funny thing is most of these fights i had end up with a beer or some shuarma after fighting with the person i had a fight with. Some took me years to meet up with and we ended as friends. Crazy if you do hand to hand combat and no guns involved how we seem to turn around somehow . I think it's the respect you get for the other person who can hold his own and vice versa . I don't fight anymore for i am way past the age to only use my fists and not my brain . Now i use humor and a mild but good treat . I am stronger now for the job i do and i am 44 years now . I know i am stronger than i was when i was a teen and early adult. So no need to prove it anymore. If you still fight at this age there is realy something wrong with you. But keep training people you never know you need it to hold of a thief or something like that.
Those are not fights, those are foreplay. No normal person is having a beer or shawarma with a violent criminal that tries to murder them or their children.
Dangerous advice. Right off the bat, you never let anyone in that close. Your minimum distance is outside of your/his circle which is his reach of arms/legs.
He speaks of something most people don’t hear about much these days:using elbow ,great advice but if you go for or hit the throat you could crush the larynx, if that happens there’s an extremely great chance the person will die. This is a lethal blow that could get you a manslaughter charge if not justified .Also a kick to the lateral knee or any part of that area is something not talked about when defending yourself ,whether standing up or you’ve fallen down ,male female big or small a hard swift kick to this area will disable attacker .
For some reason the to the throat part was funny. You are the coolest man in canada. I was watching a slap off contest and its truem these big guys get knocked out just by a slap. Amazing. ♡ thanks.
I never let anyone that is hostile get that close. Usually I let them attempt a move. The degree I react is relative to the intention and threat. I would never pop some guy's eardrum or punch him in the throat because he bowed up.

@@rodger2499 I read a stat re: people injured by guns in the USA, most wounds are accidental, careless owners shooting themselves messing around, or when cleaning before making sure its empty. A high number of injuries and sadly even death's are bc children find them in parents bedside cabinets playing around like they see on tv or video games. A recent story was shown on british tv a child shot his sister through the head & couldn't understand why she wouldn't get up afterwards. Most happen because owners don't lock them up, I've listened to distraught parents after thier child was killied talking about wanting to have their guns in places close by easy to get at . Even tho the majority live in safe places where crime is low . School shootings happen all the time in USA . In Britain we had A school shooting 30/40 years ago & soon after our government banned all guns. We havnt had another incident since. Yes criminals still own guns, but they shoot each other & not innocent school kids. Americans go on about their right to bear arms, an outdated law from a different era. In many states people walk in & out of gun shops without any background checks. What are people like you scared of ? You see what happens but change nothing . It's sad really sad .
I mean, these are great and instructional. The execution ofcourse is always far more tricky in the moment. Also, these days, the other problem is if this hypothetical situation happens in front of witnesses and or cameras and you can be identified, you can possibly face assault charges, perhaps even murder (even if you are defending yourself). Unless you have an excellent lawyer. I suppose all that beats being dead or crippled though. But, again. I do appreciate the information and instruction. I just hope I never find myself in the situation where I need to defend myself with deadly action.
There is no rule in (UK) law to say that a person must wait to be struck first before they may defend themselves. It is not absolutely necessary that a defendant be attacked first. A man about to be attacked does not have to wait for his assailant to strike the first blow, fire the first shot or wait to be stabbed. these circumstances may justify a pre-emptive strike
I understand that. However, in the states, the laws very from state to state. In some states we aren't even allowed to forcefully stop an intruder with any kind of physical force if they enter our home without them doing harm first and even then, lethal force is only justified if there is overwhelming evidence that they were intending to harm you. I cannot speak to details of laws from state to state, but with some of these examples of defense, if the person defending themselves is not in complete control and accidentally busts an eardrum or takes out an eye or causes a collapse of the esophagus, these could be considered attacks with deadly force and land the person "defending themselves" in jail. Maybe prison time with an assault charge or murder. The reason for these laws is understandable, but they create a lot of grey area which make circumstance where your life is in danger not always understood.
@@macstorm3432 Spot on, as long as you "reasonably perceive a threat" you can strike first. A good case would be if someone threatening goes for their pocket. Sure as hell you don't want to let them get whatever they have out. Of course, you must stop when the threat is over.
@@topsteve9898 There's a legal quote that can be put to juries: "In the heat of the moment, you cannot weigh to a nicety the amount of force required to defend yourself" (UK).
Kudos for this video … excellent advice - of course this is if you’re close in. I would, if you can, add sidekicks to the midriff for distance then follow up with these moves. Or add sidekicks to knees after these moves.
The title of this video ought to be: "How to get yourself locked up and mess up your life in three seconds." It takes years to build a life and seconds to take it all away. Just ask any murderer in prison.
So you're saying it's better for the attacker to hurt you any way they want? What if they had a knife you didn't know about, but you used one of these moves quickly and safely got away without said knife being drawn? Why bother living at all if you're just going to give up and be a total idiot???
I like this channel partly bc he explains a lot of things elders can easily do. As for when he talks about being shorter than your attacker, that ALWAYS applies to me! I've never been threatened by anyone 4'11"! Though my top nasty response is still what my favorite sensei always told us if by chance we did happen to drop some guy to the floor and we weren't quite yet ready to run (always smarter):: ahem! If the non-aggressor is so startled they jump in the air from fright and just happen to land knee-first on the fallen attacker's midsection, well .... there might not be any need to run after all, 'cause he ain't goin' nowhere after that. But this is not to be used unless you're absolutely sure you can prove self defense.
One thing he’s not telling you is that for these techniques to work, you must strike first. Most rational people will not want to strike the first blow.
right, dont let them get close to you, strike first and continue the combinations, until the threat is gone. on the street anything can happen from any angle of attack, which is dangerous and always keep scanning the area for multiple opponents. the dojo ( school ) and the street are two different animals.
The risk of letting the attacker "start it" by striking the first blow may be the one that seriously injures and/or permanently disables the innocent party. Some things simply can't be parsed out to the degree that you might prefer.
My thought about using knees is this: 1) you have to be really close, must be in range, 2) you better have stunned your opponent bad to then use to the groin or to the head if they are hunched over, and 3) you better not miss because for that brief moment you are off balance and can’t move as wuickly so your mobility is hindered. Elbows offer a more precise delivery, faster and in a way more powerful from the speed and the power is more focused in a smaller point/striking surface.
You're not wrong, which means the righteous among us need to pay close attention to instruction such as what's offered here. We might remember something that the attacker, who watched the same video, didn't.
I have never seen an attacker approach you at such a distance that you can defend yourself in this way. I am sure that this funny bearded boy has never participated in a street fight. :)

You are an idiot that has never actually been in a fight
This is the same advice I've given to my son and daughters at various times during their lives - "going from 'Point A' to 'Point B' with your abductor will ensure you will not be returned to 'Point B', since the average Life Span for someone who has been kidnapped is 2.5 hours (!).
Also each one of my children were trained how to defend themselves and then given a 4" quick opening survival knife and taught how to use it IF they were ever dragged into a vehicle, which thank GOD never happened.
Don't believe this will never happen to a member of your family as one of my grandsons was being pulled into a car thru the passenger window when several of his cousins managed to grab his legs and saved him causing the driver to leave the scene.

don't forget knees and elbows....

My technique for ending a fight in 3 seconds: "Hey man let's grab a beer" 😅
i actually did something like that few years ago on the 7 line subway in NYC....a guy was looking for trouble and just shoved many people as he walked though the subway car.....he shoved me and said "WHAT!

That's also when sterner measures may be required.

Agree, a kick to the side of the knee is accessible and crippling.
I teach Trump maga and if an opponent can't walk, he can't fight. If an opponent can't see, he can't fight.
this stuff works only if you are fighting someone who has no training. if you are unlucky enough to meet an opponent with training in boxing, mma or muay thai.... you are gonna get worn out with a quickness. it's just a fact.

Works great, always make sure the opponent keeps his hands behind his body like the video shows.

Thanks for sharing these useful, short and effective techniques that will work in most cases...

These techniques are excellent and likely to be effective, as long as they have been practiced, and if the aggressor is stationary and not already in fight mode. If he is it is much trickier to end the fight quickly.

I learned how important it is to end it in 3 seconds because self defense is quickly exhausting if it goes three minutes.

the same with blows to the Adam's apple, eyes, ear, etc. difficult to get into. easy to miss.

I guess that’s why these moves don’t involve slamming attacker’s head to the pavement… and are within 3 seconds ie one strike running away…
So you're saying it's better for the attacker to hurt you any way they want? What if they had a knife you didn't know about, but you used one of these moves quickly and safely got away without said knife being drawn? Why bother living at all if you're just going to give up and be a total idiot???
It should be titled "self defense only to be used in dire situations. "
Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. Carry weapons; punching is worth nothing to a gunman 5 feet away.
So we shouldn't have any interest at all in defending ourselves against unwarranted attacks? Not every fight provides an escape before it happens.
Thankyou so much. I'm average built guy and I don't like fighting. So after all the defence moves I can run away quickly.😊
How to end a fight in 3 seconds that takes 6 minutes to show
I like this channel partly bc he explains a lot of things elders can easily do.
They need to rationalise that once there is a reasonable threat, they can strike first and continue until the threat ends (and no more than that).
The risk of letting the attacker "start it" by striking the first blow may be the one that seriously injures and/or permanently disables the innocent party. Some things simply can't be parsed out to the degree that you might prefer.
Nonsense. These work just as well off blocking his first strike. Block, strike
😂😂😂 i love the throat technique.
Nice infromation especially regardingbthe posture.
I have seen karate tournaments end with an accidental eye strike. Think about that.
I like the Chad Mendes v Jose Aldo fight, where Mendes kept getting in trouble for holding his fingers out when Aldo leaned in.
Thank you for this. Do you have any tips for someone who is partially disabled from a neuro disease? Much respect for a nice video!
Very useful, thanks 👍

A bullet is much faster than a hand, and as a backup, the emptied pistol makes a good "whip."
How to win a fight in 3 seconds…in 6 minutes and 18 seconds.
What an immature, attention seeking comment! You can be proud of you!
My dad always said elbow is the best but how do I do it do I face sideways and give them an elbow?

Doubt it
I was thinking the same thing.
True. and the petrous part of the temporal is the densest.
Fantastico. Peaceful people like me, we love this. I should have know this when I was at school ( to much bully)
The most experienced martial artist are very good at the “run away” technique. No, seriously.
Running is also not 'losing'. Avoiding / prevention of violence is actually winning in a way.
Those strikes are just like Kenpo the hand yolk is an awesome strike. John McSweeney would teach those kind of strikes. Great stuff......
Great techniques....
Thank you my brother 😊👍❤️
Great instruction ;)
Thanks Jon ;-)
Great techniques! Thanks. New subscriber
When you head butt someone you also headbutt yourself.
Yes, however...ever try to tickle yourself!? I have head butted before and it is kinda like that I felt only like 5-15% of the impact.
Thank you to show us this technics for selfdefence.
This video could attract the wrong kind of people.

You're not wrong, which means the righteous among us need to pay close attention to instruction such as what's offered here. We might remember something that the attacker, who watched the same video, didn't.
Thanks Sir ,good defense!🎈
I have never seen an attacker approach you at such a distance that you can defend yourself in this way. I am sure that this funny bearded boy has never participated in a street fight. :)
You have never been around any violence.
Criminals always get this close.
