I love this game. I was always so sad that the community never really embraced this game and moved onto Juiced 2, which I consider to me a massive step down.

@@warriorharj79 Juiced 1 is better in almost every single category. Drag/Show-off events improve gameplay variety, handling model/physics aren't dumbed down, AI is way harder so the game is more tense which actually makes the betting system function properly, the respect system adds a lot of depth to the career mode, bad driving/quitting is penalized severely, environments are far more numerable with a clean artstyle (on PS2, PC version is busted), the soundtrack is much better, and the game more closely resembles NFSU.
Juiced 2 is unbelievably shallow and therefore repetitive and generic compared to its predecessor. They could hardly be considered to be in the same franchise. The only things that identify it as Juiced include the exceptionally good car list/customization and some reused UI sounds. Juiced 1 was unique and has no equal.

I played this game for the first time only last year and it was because I saw it in the 2020 marathon. It was an awesome experience - the soundtrack was fitting, the gameplay was easy to get use to, but good enough to not become boring quickly. The graphics were really nice as well, they reminded me of Street Racing Syndicate and NFS MW 2005, two of the many games I played in my childhood. The only issue I (kind of) had was that the game was a bit too easy.
This game looks very fun! Lots of back and forth with money and pink slips, instead of just a one-way progression. Also the edit was frickin' golden, hahaha!
Pepega mod team should use that "respect" in next update tho

When you drag race with AWD car start from 3rd gear with nos, always win on shorter tracks

@@serenity5892 as long as you dont enter sprints without nos or with a weak car it's pretty hard to lose imo even on "hard" difficulty. if ur using the miata at all in low classes stop now lol it's the worst car in the game. same with the supra in classes 5 and up... if u never wanna lose again in class 5 and up just use the viper its broken otherwise use what u want
@@greggschaftler1394 I noticed the viper meta, even bots use exclusively this car... but it doesn't change the fact that they are really not forgiving a single mistake, atleast in my boxed version of the game. I really remember this game as "sweaty af"
@@greggschaftler1394 no one ever notices this because the supra sucks. but if you have a full prototype supra, it is OP. if you glide around the track properly you wont ever need to use ur breaks and it is really quick. I found this out when I was doing the grand final arcade series recently and I didn't use my breaks and just glided around the track. it fliessssss!!!! but if it aint prototype. it garbo
how does kuru not know that juiced doesnt have rubberband; it's based on the car's performance
To be fair, he DOES prefer Juiced 2 (the inferior and significantly easier game) and his understanding of driving physics or racing games goes about as far as Need for Speed. I was honestly surprised that he liked DriveClub given the similar levels of realism.
Juiced definitely has rubber banding.
@@user-bp5py6bh3g I assure you that juiced is unlikely to have rubberband; best reference is class 1 vipers racing; it comes down to your skill at driving it. And plus, try racing against muscle cars at class 3 using a viper, there evidently isn't rubberbanding.

circuit the AI races better (subjective to whichever car is used) and dont get stressed out, the game as a whole is just based on whatever car you use and how you drive it, some have higher limits, some have lower
take for example, the subaru 22b, dead op; as long as you arent driving on automatic

just a tip for Kuru and for those who were struggling with team races and their crew members: if youve got atleast 1 or 2 members start doing point to point team races on ur own track. make sure u let them drive ur best cars + nos lvl 1 needed. creating a race only costs $1k (cheap) and you can win it back too. for example, you, Vito and Amber are driving so you can also bet on TK or Biggie and win even more money. repeat all this for like 3/4 times and ur members will be good enough to drive against better crew, thats the easiest and fastest way to improve ur crew skills. (also if some of ur drivers is on 6th, u can just block the opponent off and they will pass bcs the roads is pretty wide on ur track)
I remember when your car always gets stuck at a wall and you try to reverse. To reverse, you had to press the END key!
How I remeber this game as 13 year old x) Juiced has pretty decent soundtrack that made you feel pumped and that hard handling mechanics actually made winning races such an achievement 😁
The only real big memory I have this game is a thunderstorm cutting out the power during a pink slip event and me losing my Viper....

You know, I was suprised how different the game feels between this and another one, and I think I liked the another one since the career was more well-organized (I remember in first Juiced able to join so many races in January but somehow in February the races is just become random) and the car is more controlable (it was a fear using a RWD cars in first Juiced)

This is my second favourite racing game, only losing place to nfsu2, the only let down for me was that you can get to a point where you can no longer obtain prototype parts meaning that it is impossible to upgrade every car in the game up to its highest possible power
play on the PC version. they fixed it by have more people then just T.K offering prototype parts. also they offer the prototype parts through classes all the way to class 4 so ye good.

I used to love this game as a kid had it on ps2 and psp but I agree juiced 2 is better the amount of cars and customization and the PINK SLIPS RACES WERE SICK
Used to hate the s2000 and the mx5 always used to loose control when hitting curbs the all wheel drive cars were over powered in the “drag” sprint races start in top gear hold nos always win haha
I thought juiced 2 was the one I loved but it was the original

I love how he blames everything on rubberband when a car is being fast. when reality the car is actually just fast and there is no rubberband in juiced

Nah it's perfect because it's challenging
how is it challenging when you spin out going in a strait line, and if you slow down to turn the ai rubberbands to you so quick, especially on maxed out cars, like the viper, corvette, and skyline
@@orest395 bruh there is no rubberbanding. You just need to have control of your car. You know, when I turn I have to press 10 buttons in 1 second. You have to always countersteer in a corner and that several times. Many players think it should be that easy as in an nfs, but for top tier drivers juiced is a sick game, because they have this challenge to not spin out and still perform good. I really like the tryharding in juiced
excuses exuses, i did counter steer, and it never worked, and there is rubberbanding, if to slow down for a corner to take it cleanly, they always catch up, and it feels like the ai rides on rails and always take corners faster than you, no matter what car you have
@@orest395 nah you just have to drift in the corner you can't just slow down, that's the hard part

Hey, Kuru, have you played psp port titled "Juiced Eliminator"? It's the same game with eliminator mode.
In this game is interesting bug. When you modify your 3000GT to Claas 2 (only prototype parts) and if you take a sprint (drag) race, you will be Racing with....8 Claas focus MK1 😂😂. Always the same
