    This is awesome! I think the color theory lesson is... to add a bit of complimentary color to adjust a color and a bit of white to lighten it. Would you add black to a complimentary color to adjust a color and to make it more dark and to even it out? Fantastic video! Everyone looks soooo happy and are all making such beautiful artworks!

    Drew tought me almost everything I know about airbrushing. IN 4 DAYS! I went from bad cartoon quality paintings to almost 100% photorealistic paintings.
    I took a few classes with all them other guys, who I'm sure you know who I'm talking about, didn't learn shit.
    Anybody out there trying to learn airbrush, just stop. Just sign up for a Drew Blair class, pay the money, spend the time, just do it because you'll probably struggle for years and waste as much money as you can spend and you might not ever figure it out.
    4 year degreed art students can't do what ppl can after 4 days with this guy. He's absolutely the best teacher on earth and just as good as any of the too artists alive today.

      Just go take his class. You will be absolutely blown away by what you will be able to do after 4 days. There's no magic to it. It's technic, and learnings the right materials and how to use them. All you need is the ability to stay hyper focused for hours. If you can do that, trust me, you paint almost as good as Drew. He's the best teacher on earth and a really cool guy.

    do you know if the air eraser will spray extra fine glitter

    • @AirbrushAsylum
      @AirbrushAsylum  4 года назад

      No I have never used one , when spraying flakes I would recommend a flake gun but glitter or metallic paint will flow through brushes which have a 0.5mm needle and up , I can even spray trident metallics through my eclipse with a 0.35mm 👍🏻

    after taking the portrait course can u apply it to other portraits you wanna airbrush on your own..

    • @thecatguy4301
      @thecatguy4301 3 года назад

      Yes. You will learn everything you need to know at his classes. Take any of them. He's not really teaching how to paint portraits, he's teaching you how to paint. If you can focus intensity for several hours, and can follow directions, you will leave his class with the ability to paint anything. Drew figured out the techniques and he's amazing at teaching them. And that's all it is, technique. There's no magic to it.

      @@suspensefulness I was airbrushing for about 2 years before I took Drew's course. I had taken a couple classes from other very well known airbrush artist. The day before I stepped into Drew's class, I could maybe do cartoon level art work, on a good day. And I had spent a shit ton of money.
      After 4 days with Drew, I was painting photorealistic paintings.

      @@suspensefulness Ya. Before I took the class I was looking at Drew's paintings and reading his brochure explaining how he could teach anyone to do it. I couldn't wrap my head around how it could be true. But he guaranteed it. I was in absolute disbelief but I figured I could learn something. I was really desperate to at least get better. So I took the course. By the end of the first day I was blown away. He takes you through every single little step, he makes you do it right.
      Now when I say you have to be able to focus, I really mean that. I was natural at that so it was natural for me. So you really really really need that. It's not for people who lack patience, focus and concentration.
