I kinda feel bad for these new ladies because they’re pressured to basically fill the shows of the old casts but when they expressed that they want to be celebrated for being different then they’re labeled as disrespectful to the OGs. I’m gonna be rooting for them though.
@misswellness9595 yes I guess. They may have just reflected the segregation in the city and the fact that most rich people in Manhattan are white who rarely socialize with black people.
Which is not true representation of New York City at all. But the original series I think was focusing on Upper East or West Side which is predominantly White people. But the series is name Real Housewives of NY not Upper East Side.
@misswellness9595 New York is not a mixed city. It's a segregated city with neighborhoods with predominantly white people or people from other backgrounds. The false impression one might get on the subway is not the harsh, racist reality. It is not a city that welcomes everybody, it's a place dominated by wealth and by the endless abuse of mostly black and Hispanic people as those who serve the rich and do the hard labor that makes the rich richer. American society is not a truly mixed society. It's highly segregated everywhere you go. NYC included.
"This group didn't get up and marry rich men and hang out on yatchs." is the reason why I liked to watch the mess of the OG RHONY. I think this show is going to be good and I'll tune in but they should've made it a whole different franchise than Housewives. It should've been something like Sex in The City but Married. A mix of girlfriends of paris vibe with.a mix of Housewives. Housewives format is golden, dont mess with it. Major blunder for the network because they could've had a whole new franchise of cities that can lead into Housewives. 9PM the younger and "working" girl group and then 10pm the funny, messy, rich lady problems.
The one that said the original girls came from money and was given what they have now is so wrong. I think Luanne and Sonya were the only ones that married into money. The other's worked hard for what they have now. Bethany and Ramona are two who worked hard for the lives they live. So did so many of the other's from New York. 😒🙄
You’re right. Even with Luann, she did marry into wealth but she’d acted in Italy prior & also worked as a nurse for a period. RHONY’s had loads of career women; Heather Thompson, Bethenny, Carole with her journalism - even Leah with her streetwear brand.
@@NelsonMC1101the loan from ramona’s father was 30,000 and she paid him back in three months which is extremely impressive, and she was a millionaire by age 30. Bethenny worked her ass off, just because she had affiliation eith the kyle richards and than kathy.. that means nothinh. Theres people that maybe get an acting gig or 2 and have worked w famous people and they are broke and it amounts to nothing. Bethenny worked her fucking and off and sold that company for $100 mil. She hd no emotional or financial support or presence from either parent, no siblings. I do think her dad paid for her to go to college for awhile, but who cares? Its wring and actually ignorant to take anything away from those women’s accomplishments. And both of these women grew up around domestic violence and broke the cycle with their daughters.
as Luann (an iconic OG) said "dont be so uncool, be cool" and thats why the OG RHONY will always be iconic. These girls belong on a different show. I like them but they aren't Housewives material. They are trying to make it seem like a NEW concept but they have the typical cast like Brynn is the Bethanny, Jenna is giving me Sonja/Ramona after divorce vibes, Sai is giving me the younger wife type, a mix of a Kelly/Kristen/Leah. The Indian woman is giving me the transplant a mix of Luann/Silex and Ubah is giving me "we need diversity now and a model who is fabulous and trendy and fun" so a mix of Chanel from Dubai, Kiki & Gerdie from Miami and maybe Kristen.
I love that Jenna is thoughtful with her words.
This was SO fun. Love their energy and chemistry!
Ubah has an infectious energy. She would’ve won Miss Universe easily.
I bought sweaters she wore from talbots catalogue....I know this is so random but Sai reminds me of Cheryl Ladd from Charlie's angels.
@@polynesia8733 Yes, I see it! Cheryl Ladd on Charlie’s Angels.
Best cast ever!!! Classy authentic and supportive...educated hard working and strong women ..thank you so much breath of fresh air
Love the new cast. Wish Brynn was here, too. She’s a real treat.
A group of smart, hard-working women. Love it. Watching this show feels more like a docu-series and less housewives.

They are so refreshing
This is the best reboot ever!!!! Wonderful cast great connections ❤❤❤❤so well done
I gotta say, it’s really good!
It is shocking the original RHONY was all white.

@misswellness9595 you didn't live as a black woman. I bet you'd have a VERY different experience.
The original cast was too white and to old. There was no young energy at all.
I really loved Sia in this interview!
😂😂😂🤣🤣 the snacks ❤ I love the reboot soooo much more. I love the Show now.

Yeah, they were good for TV. Definitely. But obviously they were too messy and toxic and the reason the show had to be rebooted .
LOVE these classy women!♥️♥️♥️
what is this lighting?!!?

Barbara was bi…
The problem is …. Some are not housewives and it is in the title of the show. Needs to be renamed in my opinion
Sai is so boring,i hope she didnt come back for season 2
Who are these women?
The names are clearly there like... what's not clicking?

why are Sai and Ubah so negative and snobish about the previous cast? it's not cool, don't be uncool
Stop fishing for a reason to not like them because they’ve no issues with the old cast. Stop trying to create a divide between the then and now casts
