I remember when I first created an account and posted on Reddit (r/politics) just a few months ago, how shocked I was at the backlash of my comment and then how confused I was by the lack of ideas on the sub. A few RUclips videos later and I get it now.
In other words, social media being a hive mind, being a place where we rely on the opinions of others due to the overwhelming information and headlines, extinguishes individuality. Think about it…we all go to the comment section to see what the answer is to whatever social cause that’s being discussed or to see if the top comment aligns with our perspective 😂
