Welcome Christian, welcome to no run support as is tradition
Yea fr ask degrom all about it.
Took the words right out of my mouth
Good luck Christian 🍀Welcome to New York 💙 !
Welcome to the Mets Christian!
Promising and reassuring that the farm system is properly stocked for all years to come
Maybe he should also DH his next time out so he might actually get some run support.
Scott did very well for his 1st major league outing.💙🧡💙
I don't care if Scott doesn't look as good as he does today in his next outings, these types of pitchers are what this team needs, who attack the hitters and have good control of their pitches. Now raise Dom Hamel and Tidwell, give the kids a chance since this season is more than lost with that mediocre offense.
That what Atlanta does.
Half game back from wild card does not equal a lost season especially this early
@@edwinnieves6134 This season over, Bro 😢
The future. Been so hyped about this guy and finally get to see him in the majors. LETS GOOOOOO!
#45 looking good! Ya gotta believe!
Get used to no run support
Couldn't be happier for this young man/gun. Gotta be feeling awesome!
get used to not scoring on performances like this
Oh yeah it’s what the Mets do best!!
This guy is the next DeGrom?
@@snappyoneI hope not, I’d like to actually watch him pitch not sit on the IL lol
@@snappyoneI hope
@@snappyoneHope he got the talent for the next DeGrom but isn't the next DeGrom, remember, DeGrom spent most of his time in the IL.
Oh he got swag too?! He's primed for NYC 🔶️🔷️ lights. Welcome to Queens kid!
Future all star!!
good game kid, welcome to NY
Super annoyed that I missed seeing this start!
Looking good
I was at today's game. Scott was about the best thing about this team today. He's fantastic. Ottovino blew it big time, and Alonso is on his way to playing elsewhere. My 80 year old mother can strike out every at bat.
You guys all want him out and then you want him back and then you want him out and then you want him back he'll get hot and then you'll say I want him back I don't even really like his attitude it's kind of like a passive and then over the top with little in between
@@turkwendell6904 His contract is coming up. He may be in his own head about it, but it won't help him if he can't hit the ball as cleanup.
Offense ruined it for him. Can never get run support when the pitcher is actually good.
Good pitching performance by Christian Scott, no thanks to a pathetic anemic offense!!
He literally looks like a young Zack wheeler
It's a shame that Lindor and Alonso don't support him.
The new Degrom in many ways. Unfortunately
Christian "Slider" Scott. LGM
Shades of deGrom. Look at his loooong stride.
Reminds me of a right handed Chris Sale….
I can't believe Scott is 24 years old and going on *25* the 15th of next month?! Now, way back in 1984 the Mets organization, under different management of course, brought up a teenage Dwight Gooden at age 19. Oh, I know people develop at their own pace and Christian Scott was converted from a reliever to a starter with the addition of two more pitches added to his arsenal over time, but generally speaking, Atlanta gives their rookies a chance and not repeatedly send their young talent back and forth from the minors to the Bigs. (e.g., the Mets Mark Vientos). They need to bring their young talent up sooner to stay, IMO, what have they to lose, except more games, they're under 500 as it is.
With all due respect, do a little research before trying to make a “hot take” like this. Christian Scott was 22 when he was drafted. It took him 2 seasons in the minors before he got the call up. Doc Gooden was 17 when he was drafted. Guess what? It also took him 2 seasons in the minors before he got the call up haha I’m a Met fan too and understand there’s a lot we can complain about, but pitching development is the one thing this franchise has ever done right
@@nickbivona24 its true,i remember Seth Lugo.
Francisco Alveres was 20 when we called him up and 24 is the average age for a rookie do more research my guy
Welcome 🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂
The Mets exploded for one run in support.
Naturally, the Mets don't score any runs for him.
6 k’s
Too bad nobody on this team can hit.
yeah the kid did great... but answer me something... WTF is the difference between a sweeper and a slider?... because they look like the same pitch to me..
More of this, less 35-40yo washed FAs please. A 6 era washed up lefty is one not worth having. No golden rule that says you have to have a lefty in the rotation. Good sign for 26/27 when this club should be a playoff team again.
Cool, but Let me guess…. We lost?
Way to give your young star a win guys usual pathetic offense. Trade Pete and McNeil and call up the youngsters and sign Soto
Get rid of McNeil Alonso and Lindor
And then they lose. Please get rid of Ottovino.
Been great until today
One run in 6 2/3 is a very good start. It does not qualify as "dominates".
Retired 11 straight, what else you wanna see buddy?
@@MonsterRealEstateFL
Pitched very well, no question. 1 run in 6 2/3 is not "dominates", it's pitched very well. Granted that fans 16 and under probably lack the historical baseball knowledge to understand that point.
@@jimwerther under 30 actually.
I don't understand why the Mets still have Ottavino. He stinks!!!!
Like I said before if I was a pitcher I don't want to pitch for the Mets..no offense ugly
Not bad kid! Despite the headline, he lost.
I think Ottavino got the loss.
He left the Game with the Score Tied which means a No Decision.
Offense batting as if deGrom is still on the mound.
Welcome to Flushing Meadow, Mr Scott.
