See kids, when the DJ touches the mixer it is actually supposed to make the music sound different. Not like your other kids touches and touches and nothing change… Nice set!

This is one of the greatest Performances in TechnoDJ-History! Anyone who is talkin bout using too much faders or random effects: This is the original Dave Clarke-Style like his produced tracks! And this shouldn´t be like a normal DJ-Set like just playin´ all tracks one by one! This is to show skillz. There are so much people with no plan in this comment section...this is a shame for real techno lovers!
Agreed. He is so, so much better than this. He's phoning this one in. Sorry Onra, you've not even seen close to what this guy can do if you think this is good.
This is a really good set by Dave, he does more in 40 mins than a lot of DJs do in 3 hours. He knows how to create an atmosphere and definitely has a style all of his own. The mistakes are all part of the brutal onslaught of techno thunder he creates. He reminded me of Nicolas Cage in this vid haha. For many years magazines dubbed him as grumpy and bad tempered but in this vid he is dancing, interacting with the crowd when he can and was fun and polite to the guy with the drink who got too close to the decks. Even before FX units made it easier Dave has always played like this with quick cuts, scratching and spin backs. Listen to his early essential mixes from 1994 and 95 and he has always tried to seize as much energy out of his records as poss.
Saw Dave Clarke at awakenings in Manchester, he ripped the place apart. Proper full on techno set ! He had the crowd eating out of his palm. . . . . The beat repeat and delays and fader tricks to switch records are all extra cool ... only thing I find cheesy is the white noise effect.. that's all .. if not it's anything but cheesy .. it's so raw and fresh and hands on!! ...he brings tracks in and 1.5 seconds later they're in... pitching it live... when u mix like that u are creating energies and the energy assists you, u are in the moment, in the zone and there's no thinking ... it just automatically pitches up in 1 second.. and this energy is transmitted to the crowd and comes back to him....who goes even wilder and feels it. He’s done this for as long as he’s dj’d (likely longer than most of the negative commentators have been alive). Anyone criticising this style of mixing knows nothing of techno and its routes.
DC is a serious dj always was and will be but now you mention DJ Rush he’s my absolute idol he is all round my favourite and Clarke and Rush are both truly inspirational for me to keep going … this is some set !!! ⚡️🆒🖤🖤🆒⚡️

Dave Clarke ! He makes me so happy.. long time a don't see and heard Dave like that !! work work work.. alexité brisebarre : J adorerais te voir faire autant que lui..certes tout n'est pas calé parfaitement .. mais il déchire...
To all complainers/haters, i dont think 'The Baron' cares anyway but this is techno not the DMC scratching world cup; Daves sound is raw, impulsive, has a style that is undeniably his and has never compromised his unique sound. He never prepares his Dj sets which in my opinion deserves respect. He has been in it for over 25 years similar all the big pioneers like Hawtin, Garnier, Vath, Mills. I think the Girl on his left will agree that to really hear him is to hear him live and not behind a keyboard. "I like to be on my toes and be instinctual and “live” so I will deal with each gig as it comes" Dave Clarke
Just came by tosee if someone in the djing industry is still working hard. Happy to see that Mr Clarke is keeping it up. Many in the industry should learn how to touch all those buttons instead of fiddling around with the headphones. happy also to see that some also working at the dance floor. = D
Dave forgets about Richie Hawtin and even more forgotten talent like myself, but being that we were friends for so many years before silly internet chat changed things, I never thought we could share the same stage. Thanks Boiler Room for giving me that opportunity. Dave will always be a Techno God in my book, I just happen to walk with the Gods pretty good for a mortal man. My Boiler Room set kind of proves just that.
Richie is doing his best to make me want to forget him. Alas, he was the man back in the day - also had the chance to enjoy a Frankie Bones set in TO - it was top dollar. Glad to see you've come back.
Always when I see this boiler rooms I think the dj is thinking ''please stay far of the equipment'' XD I personally don't like to play with thousend people in the cabin! And hate when I have to fight to mantain my personal space.
Matthew James Martin I was asking the question!!! Course i have heard of Dave Clarke. You don't know that much if you think of detroit techno and dave clarke though!
I think this is one of the most ridiculous trolls I have ever had the misfortune to read lol If it wasn't for Dave, it would have taken people in Britain that bit longer to become aware of the Detroit techno scene and some his tracks are heavily influenced by that scene and are a part of that scene...So on one level I should have just called him 'Baron' and on another level, I think we both could do with just enjoying the set....Lets try to simply enjoy the music for what it is? Best Wishes
Dave Clarke has always played like this....lots of effects....lots of cross fader....lots of bad scratching. His mixing ability and choice of records for me are right up there.....he doesn't give a shit he just does his thing! I love his crazy style! He plays banging dark techno and uses the effects to make it crazier! His scratching is shit...... but bits fall off brand new ferraris and nobody cares!!
DC has always thrown in those crazy scratches in his sets, he was doing at Angels in Burnley years back when i first saw him, and tbh, its his style...his mixing, choice or tunes is what i love about him..if you specifically to to see DC, you know what to expect and enjoy it...Go Dave!
are you. all sitting me. look at his armbands. he's a metal head at heart. that's why he gets so down and dirty. he's responding to ravers who don't like rock. listen to any of his tunes or mixes and it's a reflection of what prog rock was then building up dance thrash. still loving red 2 and white noise. dave you is da master
+beth hughes yeah, maybe. :) But did you know that dave has a passion for classical music? BIG passion. you can listen to an interview he did at tomorrowland 2015 for radio Brussel i think...
I dunno if its Amsterdam or Dave Clarke's style from the get-go but from the beginning the crowd is just ON and BUMPIN' unlike a lot of other Boiler Room vids :-)
Seen Dave in the dance tent in Glastonbury in the late 90's,or 2000- not sure -the 90's were a blur.. Was excellent then & he's still got it... Damn, I need a night out dancing Sooo much!!! All hail the Baron!!
Dries Duyck It's always good to have an opinion but if you don't like this set then why are you even here? There are so many different performances in BR, just find something that you like and spread some positivity!
I love Dave Clark (thee lite) in the dark we live (313 remix ) bring's me back to when I was 13 years old and I was able to hangout with guys for once at a after hours in Orange county CA in some warehouse's area where they played nothing but early 90's Trance and " thee lite" was played and feel in love it. Dave Clark is a special Dj - Producer
LOL That girl must've thought the whole room + the whole internet was there for her! Damn, how narcissistic do you have to be to turn a DJs monitors away because they are hurting your ears??
I guess he's only human........................... Fantastic producer with the Red album and it still influences/resonates with djs, producers, ravers and music lovers today..... Go for it mate! ;) ....
Good tunes by Dave, and I like his FX use sometimes, but that cutting and scratching is a bit meh. I wonder if it's got anything to do with the fact that he's using CDJ's? I swear he used to sound better playing vinyl. Perhaps he should go vinyl timecode rather than CD timecode.
def not mate ! :P sorry , maybe he had too much of somethin if he is happy with that set even being online ... its unfair too dozen other hard working djs out there, this is just too much pointless show off
Don't care if it's controversial to say : I hate it when he plays Electro, It's so good to hear The Baron rip the place apart with his brand of filthy techno.
Rule 1: don't get your drink too close to the DJ Rule 2: don't get your elbow too close to the DJ Rule 3: it is acceptable to play with the DJ's lucky plastic skull, but please return it to its place under the loudspeakers.
First gig here in portugal I was there in pacha ofir for the fisrt time I saw a dj playing with 6 turntables.yes something its a mess but sometimes on point is style it's very hard..big up to mr Dave clarke
See kids, when the DJ touches the mixer it is actually supposed to make the music sound different. Not like your other kids touches and touches and nothing change…
Nice set!
ha ha... fantastic... that is EXACTLY what I always say... and get annoyed about.. 🤣
I am old(school)... and Dave never lets me down... hail the Baron

like when he puts in LFO though x

when he took over he mixed in Kurbel 17. Fuck i was ailated

Mistakes, or just roughness? I prefer this over clinical sets.

ibuprofen303 exactly, they may as well have everything unplugged and just play a cd!! in the famous words of john peel, dave is the baron of techno!
Dries Duyck a lot of good fresh techno is played first by dave on "White Noise", so don't say he has no "qleu" (clue ;) ) of what good music is !
Dave Clark is my spirit animal.

I think the Girl on his left will agree that to really hear him is to hear him live and not behind a keyboard.
"I like to be on my toes and be instinctual and “live” so I will deal with each gig as it comes" Dave Clarke

Respect for LFO track.
R.I.P. Mark Bell
If anyone is interested, the watch he is wearing is a Bell & Ross (BR 01 RED RADAR)
Respect Frankie.
Shut up a go playing EDM.
You are a god frankie x
Maybe true, but Richie forgot everyone.
TOTAL AND COMPLETE TECHNO-MASTER.
yessssssssss
Always when I see this boiler rooms I think the dj is thinking ''please stay far of the equipment'' XD I personally don't like to play with thousend people in the cabin! And hate when I have to fight to mantain my personal space.
This dude knows his shit
haha "this dude" ??? Never heard of Dave Clarke?!
Barry Clarkson How you came up with that idea? lame
Barry Clarkson Oooh now I see how you were wasting your time there, instead of simply enjoying Dave's set.
Best Wishes
1st set I’ve seen like this close…love his music…keep it poppin’ 2023
techno done the way it should be! hard and constantly thumping!
Great comment!
truee
forbello hahaha yes totally true !!! nice point of view ;)
forbelloYep, you're right :) But he's still great dj.
forbello shit is a bit harsh to describe his scratching don't you think?
One of the true masters! Είναι πιστός στη μουσική του και δεν ψάχνει τα πολλά φράγκα...Old school φάση!!!We love u man!!!!
DC has always thrown in those crazy scratches in his sets, he was doing at Angels in Burnley years back when i first saw him, and tbh, its his style...his mixing, choice or tunes is what i love about him..if you specifically to to see DC, you know what to expect and enjoy it...Go Dave!
I was there..Burnley...haha ..exactly..enjoy it how can you not,stomping.comands respect,on the 1's n 2's..master at work.🕺💃🕺💃
are you. all sitting me. look at his armbands. he's a metal head at heart. that's why he gets so down and dirty. he's responding to ravers who don't like rock. listen to any of his tunes or mixes and it's a reflection of what prog rock was then building up dance thrash. still loving red 2 and white noise. dave you is da master
nailed it.
+beth hughes yeah, maybe. :) But did you know that dave has a passion for classical music? BIG passion. you can listen to an interview he did at tomorrowland 2015 for radio Brussel i think...
+beth hughes Also wearing an SST shirt. SST had the likes of Bad Brains and Black Flag on their roster.
This is how a dj mix should be the guy is working the room a top man respect from the British lads of Berlin 89 -92 !
Havn't heard anyone use a spinback recently. Didn't realise how much i'd missed it. :D
12:12 this is exactly how I feel the music. Close your eyes and feel the beat, and let your head lead the experience
I dunno if its Amsterdam or Dave Clarke's style from the get-go but from the beginning the crowd is just ON and BUMPIN' unlike a lot of other Boiler Room vids :-)
Legend of techno, sacred monster and reference are some adjectives for nothing more and nothing less than Dave Clarke.
19:41 Dave Clarke doing crowd control and scratching at the same time
That t shirts great.....Dave does how ironic 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
old school Dave, scratching and everything! this is how I remember Mr Clarke
This is the best Boileroom yet!
Ben Sims one is good too.
Seen Dave in the dance tent in Glastonbury in the late 90's,or 2000- not sure -the 90's were a blur.. Was excellent then & he's still got it... Damn, I need a night out dancing Sooo much!!! All hail the Baron!!
90s was deffo a blur 😂😂😂😂 well put lad
What an artist!!!
Yessssssssss! Finally TECHNO and proper mixing action!
This ain't proper mixing it is bad and to much EFX
Dries Duyck It's always good to have an opinion but if you don't like this set then why are you even here? There are so many different performances in BR, just find something that you like and spread some positivity!
Agreed. Decks and EFX! Proper mixing with kickin' techno bangers. As good as it gets. Seeing and listening to this has been a real treat.
Just watched it all the way through. guy is off his head, fair play though a banging set
Respect playin in a room full of muppets dc,beltram, claude young wat a line up
Legend right there ! Not many people can rinse it like this !!!! Respect ❤
Sounds great coming from Dave Clarke. I think he's great. A legend. But hey guys at the Boiler room, can you turn it up? Louder is better. ;)
Well, this is sick.. and Dave is just showing off what he is capable of.
!!!THE KING OF ALMIGHTY TECHNO!!!!and Black Asteroid too!
Awesome, never knew Kate Mara was a techno fan
Lol ‼️‼️😆😆😆😂😂15:53 she goes off😻😻☝️☝😲😲👏🏻👏🏻🙀🙀
Dave Clarke my Favorite No1........!!!!!!!!
09:26 DON'T TOUCH THIS. Lol!
LOL That girl must've thought the whole room + the whole internet was there for her! Damn, how narcissistic do you have to be to turn a DJs monitors away because they are hurting your ears??
Hands off! haha!
Like the fact he made no fuss about it
dumbshit - luckily I believe she kinda understood why she was put in her place. So great that he corrected her immediately. Lol. ouch.

Beast mode! Since the late 80s. Aberdeen Scotland live!
WOW what a classic from back when I was young and went to the clubs, LFO....
+Steen Pedersen Hey a positive comment out of alot of bad ones... Respect Steen ;)
Definitive messaging while repping Black Flag / SST with that t-shirt. Legend.
I guess he's only human........................... Fantastic producer with the Red album and it still influences/resonates with djs, producers, ravers and music lovers today..... Go for it mate! ;) ....
1. Disable audio
2. Watch the girl dancing on the left of Dave
3. Enjoy
Clarkie made my buy my first decks
Respect!! The Baron of Techno !!!!
Good tunes by Dave, and I like his FX use sometimes, but that cutting and scratching is a bit meh. I wonder if it's got anything to do with the fact that he's using CDJ's? I swear he used to sound better playing vinyl. Perhaps he should go vinyl timecode rather than CD timecode.
ibuprofen303 Was boss on vinyl
33:43 A wild 2nd Dave Clark appears
LFO did it for me. Well played Dave.
The most technical dj in the world that's why
def not mate ! :P sorry , maybe he had too much of somethin if he is happy with that set even being online ... its unfair too dozen other hard working djs out there, this is just too much pointless show off
What a fucking boss!!
The man is untouchable.
Haha :) the t-shirt.. Funny that he's headlining tomorrowland this year..
Don't care if it's controversial to say : I hate it when he plays Electro, It's so good to hear The Baron rip the place apart with his brand of filthy techno.
31:41 till 34:00 🔥
Great Set thank you 🙏
you don´t like him you can hate him, but one thing you have admit. He is fuckin´ killer!
the baron of techno... genius
saw dave clarke at bugged out early 00's - mental
Rule 1: don't get your drink too close to the DJ
Rule 2: don't get your elbow too close to the DJ
Rule 3: it is acceptable to play with the DJ's lucky plastic skull, but please return it to its place under the loudspeakers.
First gig here in portugal I was there in pacha ofir for the fisrt time I saw a dj playing with 6 turntables.yes something its a mess but sometimes on point is style it's very hard..big up to mr Dave clarke
🖤👽 entering the Void? This is great the best i felt live !!! Thanx for helping me recovering my orig_ memory of the Future i call it Vision!
Get rid of the people behind! they should not be behind him!!
Whatever Dave Clarke does, it is way better than mainstream names like Avicii or David Guetta.
