@@ivymiricho But the leopard thing is scary as hell. KWS needs to set a trap like a cage trap put some meat in it and once the leopard goes in to get the meat the trap closes. Interesting how the leopard got to the island. It must have come during low tide from one of the forests closeby

@@daviddavis7959 that's exactly what happened, the leopard wandered during the low tide. That was also the plan, I left as KWS were setting up the trap. Would've loved to see it though, I was lowkey excited!

@@ivymiricho Thanks for confirming. I thought it would have been wreckless for KWS not to try to attempt setting a trap to capture the leopard. Hopefully there will be follow up on the capture. It is interesting to note there are leopards within this area. its so unusual to find carnivores but then again we have Amu ranch in Lamu a wildlife sanctuary that actually has lions and many herbivores. But for the leopard to find its way to the island crossing the sea is bewilderment. I would think the leopard would be around the parks where there is quite a lot of prey of all sorts for it to feed on. Quite scary thought the leopard could find its way to Kizingo island which has no animals to prey on.

It really is! Accommodation on full board pppn is $150 and flights from Nairobi should be around KES 16k roundtrip. Hope that gives you a ball park figure to work with.
