I’m a convert (Sept 24 2023) from the CoE. I used to go to the ‘high church’ Anglican St Mary’s Bourne Street in London and the Ordinariate service is virtually identical. A cradle Catholic told me that when the Ordinariate began she said to herself that these Anglicans should just become ordinary Catholics. She then went to an Ordinariate service and she completely understood. One very senior clergyman in the Ordinariate told me that he only truly understood the Book of Common Prayer AFTER he became a Catholic. I am so very grateful to Pope Benedict for allowing me to be a Catholic and to use the liturgy I know and love.
This was a splendid discussion. I have always held Britons who held the faith as heroic examples for us. My Sinn Fein ancestors share my desire for the return of the faith to England and now Ireland. I say Novena to our Lady of Walsingham perpetually for the entire British Isles. God bless and sustain your Ordinariate and the Faith.
I attend an ordinariate parish, though I’m not part of the ordinariate. I don’t have access to the TLM and haven’t had the opportunity to attend a TLM liturgy, sadly. But the ordinariate has inspired in me a desire for tradition. I love it and I hope it continues to grow.
As a member of the Ordinariate who currently attends a Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, I absolutely have fallen in love with the UGCC liturgy, That being said, the Divine Worship liturgy offers Catholics a wonderful option to the Novus Ordo Mass.
It's an interesting concept at 39:28 of praying in the Anglican churches. At lot of traditional Latin rite people feel this way when there is '62 Mass in the older churches that were converted for the New Order. They feel they are in some part taking back a church that has a cuckoo in the nest. As to the picture of John Fisher, people feel that way when they see a lineup of pictures with Pius XII, John XXIII and Paul VI as if there was an unbroken theological continuity there.
I Peay the Ordinariate Breviary every day. So much more beautiful than the Liturgy of the Hours. Language is more elevated and the Scripture is more extensive. Big plus is you pray the entire psalter. LotH does not
I think it is unfair to say that those remaining Anglo-Catholics are just interested in ‘playing the role’. Some (as I did) may argue that they wished to keep the Catholic tradition alive in the CofE and to hope for better times as a faithful remnant in the tradition of Pusey and Keble. I came to the conclusion that it was a hopeless project but others may take a different view.

The Ordinariate Mass is similar to the Latin Mass... in Old English...
I think it is fairer to say Tudor English - large chunks concern the Book of Common Prayer which has been largely abandoned by the Church of England
Please clarify: Are the ordinariates affected by Traditionis Custodes?
Members of the ordinariate are baptized and confirmed Catholics though.
No, they are not affected. It is my fervent desire that this state of affairs persist.
