I enjoyed that reaction. This audition video was my introduction to 4th Impact too, and I love watching reactors see it for the first time. There are usually a lot of jaws dropping and eyes popping out of heads, followed by people exclaiming, as you did, "I wasn't expecting THAT!" You were right about them changing their name due to a copyright issue (which arose a few weeks into the show). This video has gone on to become the most watched in X Factor history (and I'm probably responsible for a few million views, myself). Their singing here only hints at just how incredible their harmonies are, and since I absolutely love harmony, they've become my favorite girl group of all time. I've seen so many act shocked they're actually standing in front of Simon that I've become jaded. These girls are the best thing I've ever seen come from the East. Doesn't the US own the Philippines. Gen. Macarthur's "I will return."

I am from the U.S but live in the Philippines 8 months of the year, and It is not a big deal to fly from the U.S. to the Philippines, there are all kinds of deals. However, flying from the Philippines to anywhere else is so expensive, not only that, for a Filipino, it is so hard because of the money exchange is 1dollar is 50 pesos, so it is so much harder for them, so you can see why they were so excited to be there, God Bless them, they were great.
To answer your question: the official language of the Philippines is Tagalog. But almost throughout the country they teach students English as a second language. Throughout the country on storefronts, etc you see English everywhere.
As already stated, if you continue to follow their journey, your sub numbers will go up A LOT!!!!
