  • We're used to seeing a particular form of language in public and academic arenas, but what impact does it have when we call it "standard" or "correct," and where does this notion come from? In this video, Dr. Ana Milena Ribero explores these questions, considering issues of both power and intelligibility. It is designed for high school and college students studying grammar, writing, or linguistics.
The School of Writing, Literature, and Film at Oregon State University sponsors this series.
