Do you have a digital piano? I had a cheap one with bad touch response, it was frustating because sometimes a key wouldn't make a sound even though I pressed it down, especially the black keys had this problem. I upgraded to Kawai CA58 some weeks ago and this problem is gone with the wind now! Oh and about your practise, make sure you can play correct with both left and right hand alone, then slowly put them together. It's hard in the beginning but practise will pay off eventually.

Have to practice with basics like jingle-bells and move up. It takes awhile, especially if you're new. Practice to master!
