- We talked about in terms of spiritual attainment what are some of the things that one ought to have or one must do in order to progress on the path. Because, you cannot break free of your innate tendencies with ordinary or limited efforts. It requires an intense effort. But by effort, I am not suggesting that it is about meditating for ten or fifteen thousand hours. That is definitely going to help you but that is simply training the mind to build your mindfulness to bring it to such a level that you are all the time aware of your thoughts, feelings, actions and words. When I talk about intense efforts, I am talking about something in addition to meditation and chanting and so on.
Meditation is something you do to train and tame your mind; chanting is what you do to align your energies with this cosmic play of energy whether we see it as sacred or simply a play. But, beyond that a certain righteousness, leading a virtuous life is non-negotiable. If you are really interested in progressing on the path, there is no substitute for noble conduct.

I can't even tell you Swamiji how you have turned out to be my constant guiding light even though I have never got the opportunity to have your darshan. Your weekly discourse seems like as if its meant for me to assign me the new assignment to work on in the upcoming week .... To help me come out of all the mess that I have been battling with in the previous week gone by.... I wish I could have watched it yesterday itself to hammer my mind and gain that sanity much earlier that I have got now after listening to you. Dear lord,
Divine wisdom from you, dispells ignorance from our minds just as the sun vanishes darkness. It feels there has never been any night for a moment and leads us towards a path of righteousness.
But the night falls again, in this play of maya, tendencies of the mind take up its hood to create a rampage. At that time only the memory of your divine words restore back sanity and sentience.
Every word guides towards mindfulness, compassion and spiritual progress.
Smriti indeed comes through practice and your divine guidance and grace helps to contain it
