I find racing short course trucks the most enjoyable out of all RC racing. The rubbing and bouncing off eachother without getting caught up and tangled on the tires and arms just makes it so fun compaired to open wheel buggys and truggy's which get all tangled up on the track. The more on the track the better with short course. The TT pro is a weapon.
I've just got into racing after being a basher first and the TT is awesome. Got a 3rd in my first A final with the TT. It's race bred and the SC class is so much fun.
Losi has always been designed for racing. They entered the scene with the vision of building the best race RC's in the world and they pulled it off too. Since then they've built on that pedigree and produced some of the best handling RC's out there. The TT Pro does handle awesome. Bashing it I had the biggest smile on my face. The thing is absolutely awesome, and that's straight out of the box with no mods. The radio is perfect for the application, the gyro works super good, and the car handles exactly the way you'd expect a Losi to handle. Thanks for the comment. AJ
They're on sale right now and that brought me here 😅 I have no right wanting another SCT when I already have a Pro4. Would love to see an updated video of how you would rank all the current SCT 4x4 available Thanks for your very informative videos brother
Thanks for explaining cap packs sanely and intelligently. I just had to unsubscribe from a certain channel because the guy was BSing about getting 14 more MPH just from adding a cap pack to his Felony on 6s. Of course, he had that affiliate link trying to sell you the cap pack, too. Everything i know about BLDC motors and cap packs told me he was full of bullplop. You did a great job explaining BLDC motors and power draw. 👍🏽👍🏽 Nine thumbs up for being honest. PS: never looked twice at an SCT before this video 😛. Looks like a lot of fun though, and i will be adding a third vehicle to my stable this winter. Not sure what to get, as i have a Granite and a Felony. Plenty of choices, and i watch your channel because it's BS-free.
Just picked up a Losi 22s-sct and a xxx-sct for 300 bucks. The xxx-sct has a 40a Dynamite tazer esc, the 22s-sct has a 70a Dynamite Fuze esc,, both have a Dynamite 3300 brushless motors, I just got a few Gens ace redline 8200mah, 2S, 130c batteries, and they seem to be the perfect match for these trucks!!! One is running on a Team Associated transmitter and receiver, the other is on a dx5 transmitter and receiver. Glad I got back into the hobby, so much has changed, but so much is still the same at the same time...
I have the exact same truck and I agree with you this has been one of the best trucks I’ve owed. I have but this thing through the ringing and haven’t broken anything and I’ve broke them all! Great truck
Great review. I have one and, hands down, this is one of the best short course trucks I’ve driven. It really shines on a BMX track as a box stock and can do pavement pretty well too. I found the handling out of the box is pretty good, but the stock servo is a definite weak point. Also, I didn’t like the amount of play I was getting with steering after running a few packs. That being said, it probably isn’t noticeable for newer drivers or just bashing around. I did upgrade the steering components to all metal, replaced the bushings with bearings and put ultra high speed/high torque servo. Other, than that, I kept everything else stock. It drives on a completely different level now and I like it much better with the AVC turned off. What’s really cool about this truck though is that out of the box, there’s a lot of things an advanced driver can be happy with as an RTR and still make the truck easily drivable for a newbie. I like that the truck can be crazy fast on 3S, yet still very drivable. Super easy to control in the air, IMHO. For as many high speed crashes and failed jumps I’ve put this truck through on a BMX track, I’m surprised that I’ve only broken the front bumper. I can’t say the same thing about my Slash Ultimate, which is actually quite durable also, after having broken a few more parts than the TT Pro. My only gripe about this truck is the body. It’s a bit flimsy and I’ve shredded it in no time. I did shred the stock wheels and tires when I tried to overpower it, but that’s more to do with my driving than the truck itself. All in all, I really enjoy this truck and I find that I drive it way more than I do my Slash Ultimate.
Good review! i like your style and like how you do a fair comparison. Got one of these for 499 Canadian new at my local hobby shop when I was going in to get a senton 3s which is around 439 cad I think ? So happy I went with this, I have a typhon 3s custom build and that thing rips but the center diff in this makes all the difference and its really fun racing short course ! Plus these things are fast on 2s i went down to the 15 tooth pinion recommended for 3s and its still so fast on 2s compared the typhon on 2s vs 3s difference.

Most of the rigs in our top ten are 1/8th scale or bigger, and having two short course trucks in the 1/10th scale category sitting in our top ten rankings, and straight out of the box, is amazing in its own right; the top ten is already hard enough to get into, so that definitely says something about both rigs. I love Losi, and they've always been one of my favorites, but Traxxas did surprise us here. Thanks for the conversation. AJ
All the parts on RTRs that get everyone whining because they are plastic are steel or aluminum. Drive shafts, CVDs, shocks and shock towers. This would be perfect for club racing, its really an SCTE. Just put a battery and transponder and you could have tons of fun as long as you don't have really expectations of winning. The right tires, fluids and suspension tune, you aren't going to win the nationals, but can you are battling at the front at the local track.@@reggiemoore21

I can't help it. The tech has come so far since building our cars from scratch in the beginning. I remember cutting chassis out by hand and pirating parts from toys just to make them go. Now look at where we are. Look how far we've come. How can I not be excited. This hobby has something for everyone, and we finally found a way to help our RC community. Out of the box set up for 2s additional pinion gear for you to run if you run in 3s check the outdrive cups and input cups all the little pins that hold that stuff together sometimes they're loose I would block tight all that stuff other than that and trucks awesome.
The trick is to show goo before the boo-boo happens. Plus, much easier to "Goo" it when the body is unused, as you don't have dirt and things which cause Goo to stick less easily. Of course, hindsight is 20/20 and I also waited too long to shoe goo my first RC basher. So when I got my Felony, I Goo-ed it immediately, even though it took a full two tubes of Goo to do it. One lives and learns. 👍🏽
Nice vid bro, am getting today 27/11/22,,used in very good well look after condition, blue Scheme, I Also have losi tenacity sct brushless 4wd that's awesome too 👌
The Tenacity trucks are fantastic imo .Check the spare pinion you have ,if I remember rightly the truck comes setup for 2s and the spare pinion is for 3s . I have the TT pro and slash ultimate, in terms of value I think the losi a better truck. It definitely handles better and the quality is great.
Yes the included pinion is not a speed pinion it's actually smaller for 3s to help keep temps down in higher voltage. I have the Arrma Senton and TA SC10Pro4 and the TT is superior is almost every way. No way the Slash is better, that's just Traxxas fanboy talk 😄😄😄
For the record, there are no fanboys here. We rate rigs based on how they perform and make us feel. IMO they are so close it is hard to choose one over the other. Both are awesome, and we dig running them both. Brand has absolutely nothing to do with our decisions. However, if you've watched the channel for any length of time, you'll know we do like Losi. Perhaps it's from all our years of racing with their rigs. Even so, we rate them the same way as all the others.
Great video AJ. I really enjoy the way you explain the centrifugal force as it relates to the Traction control. I looked at all the short course trucks and I decided to build my own. The Slash was too lightweight. Losi TT Pro was overpriced (in my opinion). For $549 I bought a Typhon 6s and put Senton Shock towers and some other needed conversion parts for $100. So for $649 I built a bulletproof discontinued Arrma Senton that I can run 3,4 & 6s. I'd love to see you review the Losi Hammer Rey and get your thoughts. Keep up the great work; I'm a big fan, I'm learning a lot! 👍 💪👏
I love that you're building your own version of your RC. I believe building is a real way to get your creative juices flowing. Thank you for the share, and I appreciate your suggestion. However, I've looked the Hammer Rey over and it does not speak to me the way other RC's do. Since we purchase every car for the channel out of our own pockets, I have trouble buying cars just for the sake of having them, or testing them. Here we get the rigs that scream "Buy Me!!!" and that's how we choose our cars. Perhaps one day the Hammer Rey will be added to our collection but for now there are others we just "Have to have". Thanks again, and thanks for watching the channel. AJ
It is a long rig for its scale, and it's narrow too, which means instability for the kind of running we do here. Barrel rolls are not a favorite of mine, and I like rigs that take corners at speed, which this one will not do. I suppose it's cool looking if you're into that sort of thing, and I'm not judging here, but I'm just saying it's not for me.
Love my tenacity tt pro and slash ultimate but the wheel offset and parts availability on the Losi is annoying at best I love the proline removable hex adapter wheels but can’t use em on the tenacity so I’m able to run my slash ultimate harder because I know I can get a part same day and can use any wheel and tires I want
This is what looks like Ona the most fun driving scale suspension characteristic short course trucks I've seen since my old old sc10. I love the way this floats and 4wheel drifts thru the corners, no clunky noises going on, foam body mount washers and velcro or taped body sides and this thing would be really smooth. thats how I loke short course trucks, lots of wheel tucking travel and no "toy RC" type slappity smack noises. Just tires searching for traction. Great driving! 😎👍🏼 (Are these still based off the ten-t platform?)
Just got the TT Pro last week, was having a great time and it does handle great with tons of speed, sadly it killed the rear diff after only 3 packs run through it. I have ordered a rebuild kit, and will upgrade to a new servo and metal steering setup as part of the overhaul.
Yep my receiver eventually went bad in my dbpro ,I'm running blx 185 I felt was getting older and maybe only using on 3 or 4s it would last . The only complaint is steering savor always loosened up on me now seems to not want tighten , I have open up take kook I probably order new one hopefully Jenny's has them
I really not a fan of spectrum 3200kvs , I don't think I added a cap pack I should , the motor really doesn't have much torque for heavier rig I think blx 185 took care of the clogging
Gearing plays a pretty big role in the torque a motor can produce. Finding the right setup for your application can be a bit of a mess a times. I hope you find the right combination for your driving style. AJ
This is a fun rig but I am not going to lie, it has not been durable for me. I have replaced everything on mine except esc although the esc fan sucks, A-arms, frame, braces, and motor. Screws come loose alot, had to use loctite. I added 2 motor fans but it still overheats on the 3rd battery. but this rig is fast and fun when it doesn't break which is everytime I run it. I upgraded it alot and it still breaks. I have been using on a dirt short course track on 3s as is so fast. just telling experience with the TT pro.
Thanks for sharing. That’s what Is so cool about this hobby, sharing with others. Each person’s experiences are a bit different. I don’t expect everyone to get the same results we do. Again thanks for sharing. 😎👍
Excellent video, thank you very much. If I may have a dumb (beginner) question - how would you compare it to Losi Shocks Ford Raptor Baja Re? I know - different chassis (especially the rear axis), but I would love to get a better idea on what to expect. The Baja is available here in EU, the TT, unfortunately, is not.
I like them both. Losi always builds awesome rigs. Traxxas hits the mark on occasions. For now the Slash Ultimate is up a spot over the Losi, but that could change in the SCT Shoot-out. Time will tell. Thanks for asking. AJ
I like your style. Subbed. Why do you consider the Slash Ultimate a slightly better RC? Seems to be a really close call. Maybe because the price on the Losi is slightly higher.
Thanks for the sub. I guess the rating is based on our experience with each rig. Both are a blast. The TT pro was awesome, to be sure, and I like it very much, but the Slash Ultimate just added a bit more adrenaline for me during the testing. It handled awesome and was stupid fast. They are back to back in the ratings, but the Traxxas did have the edge for us here. That may change as things unfold here at the channel. When the brutal reviews come out for each rig they will find their proper placement in the ratings. For now, the out of the box ratings are a reflection of our feelings while testing the RCs. Thanks for the question. 😎👍
Great video, I'm torn between this one and the Typhon TLR TUNED RTR. More than speed, I'm interested in durability and maintenance. Which one would you choose?
It depends upon what you are doing with it. Both are fun and fast, not to mention stabile. Jumping and brutal fast driving TLR all day long. Fast, groomed surfaces with humps and such TT Pro for the win. The choice is yours.
If you plan on racing a bit more seriously but don't want to purchase a kit, get the Losi. It's the closet to a kit car, quality wise, from ant RTR truck available.
@@GilMKIIIHY35 I got the Losi Tenacity TT pro and this thing way better than the Arrma Senton in many way. It ran right out of the box with 3S battery this thing can almost do 50 mph. The only thing this has is keep losing the binding with the remote every couple of days not sure why. Thanks
I’m torn between the Tenacity TT Pro and the Traxxas Slash 4x4 Ultimate. I get that the Traxxas has better parts availability but the TT Pro looks way better. Which one should I go with and why? They’re only $50 price difference and that doesn’t matter to me.
It really is a matter of taste. Both work well and are fast. Both control great. For the money the Losi has the edge, but the parts availability goes to Traxxas. That's not to say you can't get the parts for the Losi, you can, but depending upon where you live they might be a bit harder to come by. I would go with the one that speaks to you the most. Best of luck. 😎👍
@@AJJAMStudios Appreciate the advice! I think I am leaning towards the slash. The Losi parts are really generally tougher to find unfortunately. So much Traxxas stuff in Seattle. Thanks and keep up the videos!
Thank you. We did not actually time them. However, the truck kept up with the others on stock setups for each. I may have to time them and see. Thanks for asking. 😎👍
@@AJJAMStudios I took the center diff out and found one of the 4 bolts wasn't tightened down causing the leak, apparently is a very common issue from the factory.
In my opinion it's still cheaper than the slash ultimate and a better option... Traxxas electronics are outdated and antiquated and overheat everytime... I think the 500 price point is pretty good for what you get. Losi is known for their plush suspensions.
I hope you know we have no control over how many of those they add to the video. We monetize to help continue our work, but that's all. Thanks for watching. AJ
Wow, good question. As it stands with no mods they are really close. I love driving both, but in our list, at least for now, the Ultimate Slash is one place higher than the TT Pro. The funny thing is, I love Losi rigs. This one handles so good, I still can't believe how well it does and how long it's been out on the market. The Slash also took me by surprise, and it drives awesome too. I don't think you could go wrong with either one. Thanks for asking. AJ
@@AJJAMStudios thanks for replay! Really loke how Losi breaks through off road! My ultimate has additional upgrades like alum motor mount, Max 10 sct combo, central brace and xo-1 diffs with alum shock towers and harder springs. But it still feels like a toy, so I’m searcing for more powerful and stable short course. Now I’m choosing between tekno and losi, no racing just fun rides
We have a Tekno video in the works as we speak and it should help with that decision. Built on the SCT 410.3 platform, we've done what we can to make it as close to the stock specs of the others in the class. I did add a gyro system, Spektrum DX3 transmitter and a 35KG servo to give us that needed control. For power we added a 3200KV motor and a 4s compatible ESC. During testing however, we will be running the same batteries as the other short course trucks in the class to see how it does. Stay tuned for that one. AJ
I understand the frustration; we tried repeatedly to get a Kronos XTR 2022, but we can't seem to get one here. It looks like a solid rig, but if we can't get one in the studio, how will we know for sure, and how will it be trying to get parts? Eventually we will get one, but for now I feel the way you do; frustrated. I hope you find a way to get the one you're looking for. AJ
True, it is better for what it's designed for, but the SCT class is completely different from an all out basher like the Kraton series. If the class of the vehicle means nothing to you and you're just trying to get the best bang for your buck the Kraton is definitely a good choice. But, short course trucks have a following all their own and people love the styling and handling of them, so for those who are looking for the short course experience, the Kraton will never stack up. Thanks for commenting. 😎👍
As things stand this is the only platform we inhabit. We are available right here in the comment section if you have any questions. Thanks for your interest in our channel. AJ

Of course, hindsight is 20/20 and I also waited too long to shoe goo my first RC basher.
So when I got my Felony, I Goo-ed it immediately, even though it took a full two tubes of Goo to do it.
One lives and learns. 👍🏽
Love your channel
Great vids they keep getting better and better. Thanks 🙏
Glad you like them! 😎👍
Nice vid bro, am getting today 27/11/22,,used in very good well look after condition, blue Scheme, I Also have losi tenacity sct brushless 4wd that's awesome too 👌
Always great videos 👍👍
Thanks 👍
Awesome dude. It kewl to here your opinion. I can take certon points and add to my rigs or my driving skills. Keep*em coming. Thanks again.
Have Fun
Right on!
AJ
@@AJJAMStudios I agree the hammer Rey just doesn't make me want to have it. The videos of guys running them just don't look great to me.
Great performances!! And great video clip
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching. AJ
Sold! Thank you for you content. 😎👍
Awesome video review 👌
(Are these still based off the ten-t platform?)
Great channel great content
Just got the TT Pro last week, was having a great time and it does handle great with tons of speed, sadly it killed the rear diff after only 3 packs run through it. I have ordered a rebuild kit, and will upgrade to a new servo and metal steering setup as part of the overhaul.
Bummer on the diff. When you rebuild it, be sure to check the gear spacing. Shimming may be required. 👍
Great job thanks. Can u make a video how to make a cap pack. I’ve got a bunch of capacitors
We might be able to do that. Thanks for asking 😎👍
Man.. leaking oil fresh from the factory. BMW must be assembling Losi’s stuff, now 😜
Yep my receiver eventually went bad in my dbpro ,I'm running blx 185 I felt was getting older and maybe only using on 3 or 4s it would last .
Curious how you like aftervliking the ultimate slash. It's different feel . The losi definitely most costly when comes to repairs
I like them both. Losi always builds awesome rigs. Traxxas hits the mark on occasions. For now the Slash Ultimate is up a spot over the Losi, but that could change in the SCT Shoot-out. Time will tell. Thanks for asking. AJ
I'd like to know where you got the drawers for keeping your bench organized..
Thanks for asking. To answer your question, I built them all, bench and everything. 😎👍
I got mine a month or 2 ago with a $180. coupon from Amain. At $320, similar to your price it's a steal!!!
@ajjamstudios Did you ever figure out what made that oil stain in the box? I just purchased a TT Pro and had the EXACT same stain in my box.
Never did. Nothing leaks. I say run it. 😎👍
Which one would your recommend between Arrma MOJAVE 4S and 1/10 TENACITY TT Pro 4X4 Brushless SCT RTR with DX3
TT Pro. Both are cool but my favorite of the two is Losi.
@@AJJAMStudios Thanks a lot
I love my ultimate....no ragretts ..no whut I'm sayn.🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍
If you have an RC that turns you on…you have the right one. Thanks for sharing.
@@AJJAMStudios Thank you, I will go for the Typhon, just because it's easier to maintain the differentials.
Can you tell mbetween this Losi and the Arrma Senton which one shuold I buy? Thanks
Thanks
I had one that would drop bind all the time. It required a new receiver to fix it.
I've not had good luck with the spectrum controllers and servos
We've had servo issues with most of the RTR rigs here. Our radio setups hold up pretty well though...so far. Thanks for sharing. AJ
Did both...liked and 'subbed'. I run the same bats, 5200, 80C...what were your run times?
Thank you. We did not actually time them. However, the truck kept up with the others on stock setups for each. I may have to time them and see. Thanks for asking. 😎👍
found the same deal as you....it's a " Brenthel Edition.....still in sealed box....grab it??
Hi is the leak (I assume the centre diff) anything to worry about? Mine also came with a slight puddle out of the box.
So far ours hasn’t leaked again. It was just out of the box. If you’re is actively leaking you should check it out. Thanks for asking 😎👍
@@AJJAMStudios Thats good to hear, thanks for the reply 😎
@@AJJAMStudios I took the center diff out and found one of the 4 bolts wasn't tightened down causing the leak, apparently is a very common issue from the factory.
Those are RAD
In my opinion it's still cheaper than the slash ultimate and a better option... Traxxas electronics are outdated and antiquated and overheat everytime... I think the 500 price point is pretty good for what you get. Losi is known for their plush suspensions.
Holy commercial
I hope you know we have no control over how many of those they add to the video. We monetize to help continue our work, but that's all. Thanks for watching. AJ
How’s this compared to associated sc 10 pro?
As it stands out of the box the Losi TT Pro stomps the associated Pro4. Perhaps with some upgrades the Pro4 will get there. Thanks for asking. AJ
Associated TT Pro??
Did AJ actually say that in the video? If he did, we missed it. We are well aware it is a Losi vehicle. Can you give us a time code please?
16:05 Associated TT PRO? It’s a LOSI.
Thank you.
Is it better than Slash ultimate?
AJ
I like stadium trucks more
Associated TT Pro? Lol. Whoops.
You caught it first. The slip up even got past our editors. Thanks for noticing. 😎👍
I hate lights, can you turn them off
You can trace the lead to the receiver and unplug them if you don't want to use them. It's pretty simple to do. Thanks for asking. AJ
Lemme pay 20$
Y’all take these motors a beating
I appreciate that. Thanks for the comment. AJ
Cool looking truck, unfortunately can't buy it in the UK 👎
My friend converted his DB Pro to a TT in the UK. I know it sucks to pay for body, shipping and duty!
AJ
The mt10 is way better then the mt8, faster and more durable
$300 too expensive
The Kraton V5 is only $550. That's a lot better truck.
I bought the Fireteam 2 weeks Ago for $500 plus tax!
AJ, are you on Insta or do u guys have a facebook page ? How does one get in touch with you ? Thanks!
As things stand this is the only platform we inhabit. We are available right here in the comment section if you have any questions. Thanks for your interest in our channel. AJ
