I'm mixed half Indian half white Canadian. I never learnt my dads language Punjabi. I'm so upset I don't speak or understand it. He's passed away a few years ago. His side of the family doesn't speak to me so I have no ties to it nor do I hear Punjabi very often anymore. I remember him playing this cd and singing along all the time. I can see his emotion and little dance in my memory. I love blasting this and just picturing my father. Miss him dearly. Love you dad. Rest in peace ❤❤

However, it is written by the legendary poet Mohammed Musa Hashmi, also known as Purnam Allahabadi, who also wrote the qawwali 'Bhar do jholi meri ya Muhammad' which was made famous by the legendary and iconic duo Sabri Brothers.
