Best insider tip, try to get the ketttering or tutorial systems review material. This breaks down the material to the most simplest way and gives you only what is necessary. After finishing respiratory school when I found that if I have this during classes, I would've been a rockstar in clinicals.
I’m so grateful to have found your channel. It’s unfortunate that there aren’t a lot of information or videos for this program as nursing. I start the program this fall and all classes will be online due to Covid-19. Your videos has given me a bit of inspiration to push through!
Hey Brandi. I'm a Respiratory Student as well. My graduation is May 2018. My program is 21 months long. The first semester of Respiratory school is a nightmare and so is the second semester. I literally have no life. I have 6 children and a husband and I don't even see them. I totally understand you. On a positive note, it will all be worth it in the end. I never did note cards. They don't work for me. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I just rewrite my notes and reread my book until I literally passed out sleeping. 😂😂😂😂😂 Stay focus and don't give up. You got this. 💜❤️💙
I just started RT School a week ago. And boy it's fast paced and tough. But the end result is well worth the time dedication! Good luck to you! I'm in CPAP, Theories and Principles of RT, Pharmacology, and Clinicals (coming up in a few months) all at once. And the amount of studying is horrifying lol. I mean we no joke, have 2 tests per class. 3 classes per week, so a LOT of material to learn quickly. The instructor told us: "Their are 21 of you here now. By the time you finish Pharmacology, 3-5 of you will be gone." Instant butterfly's in the belly! haha.
Wow Pharm in the first semester? I’m praying for you 😅 lol I’m taking it now in my second semester and I’m already knowing this will be the most challenging class. And you’re right it is hard but totally worth it❣️! Balance is key.
I love you already !!!! I am already about 2 months into my RT program and everything you said is on the spot!!!! I've used literally like 300 plus flash cards just from Egan's alone and then the job part lmaoo said the same exact thing lol
I’m glad you enjoyed the video girl I’m literally drowning in all the flash cards I’ve made over the past semesters lol. Good luck with the remainder of your program ❣️
Oh man, I love your videos! Once you get into your study method it gets a little easier. You are so much braver than I am! The first semester I was pretty much living in my books which is why I didn't start making videos until the second semester lol.
OMG YOU are awesome. I have been an RT for...., well, let's just say- DECADES😳. You crack me UP, and your study skills and ambition are def going to make you an AWESOME RT! Your dedication and ambition are heartwarming. You ARE and will continue to be an amazing addition and advocate for the field that I love, defend, adore, and have demanded due respect for! Thank You for your videos! Your mom must be proud.
Omg 😩 this comment is soooo sweet I really appreciate such kind words especially since you’re in the position I aspire to be in soon ❣️❣️ and in response to your other $ comment my have the times changed lol
Thank you! I'm taking my first step next week and I am freaking out on just the math & science classes alone. I love your spirit and honesty about RT :D
This video was honestly so helpful/real! I am currently finishing up anatomy and physiology, the last class I need to apply for this years program. So needless to say but I am ready and extremely nervous for the program. I struggle hard with trying to get the information to stick in my mind but its refreshing knowing im not the only one. It drives me crazy with how much prep i do to study, like I will be up until 2am finishing flash cards lol. Say a prayer that I get accepted girl !
Hello Congratulations on getting into Respiratory therapy school. I have thinking about going back to Respiratory school. I was in the program and few years ago but had to drop for personal reasons. But I agree you have to definitely stay on top of that studying. And as for your hair I've been natural since 2010 and I still struggle. The best style is braids like the pp suggest. It's just more simple and less maintenance. But good luck and God bless I'll be following
Brandi Shari TV I am really leaning towards it. My main concern is getting my 2 year old situated with Daycare and getting my finances inn order. But watching you guys video is really making me miss it. Thank you so much
I’m about to start this program in 10 days...I’m scared but excited. Can’t wait to see what the future holds. I’m not super duper smart, but I will study my butt off. Will that be enough? Thanks
P.S I'm natural too, honey let me tell you, ugh I went and got some crochet. This natural hair has been in crochet braids for the last couple of months. There is no time to even look at my hair, let alone wash and condition it. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I'm scared to even see it when I take this hair out in December. 😂😂😂😂😂
Hello I am interested in the field but I am not really good at math nor physics do u think it would be the right field for me and did u take some sort of an entrance exam and was it hard
PS Not sure how much your program costs including books and uniforms etc. Back in the day ALL of my stuff with books- scrubs- fees included was about $2500 LoL yep $2500

It’s normal to be nervous it’s a new chapter you’ll be beginning. As long as you apply yourself you’ll be fine ❣️ good luck!
Im done with my first semester too in canada keep it up
Starting RT school in August. Watching your videos, trying to prepare. Do you work full time?
Hey hun, I worked part time for most of the program but I had to cut down on hours for my last semester to allot more time for studying ❣️
I love the honesty 🙏😂
Lol I try
Do you think the workbooks for Egans, Pharm, and A&P is worth getting if it’s not really required for your class?
I found the workbooks for Pharm & A&P helpful but I wouldn't have purchased them if they weren't required texts lol
If you can, post the books you all use
I only have the books for my current summer semester
PS
Not sure how much your program costs including books and uniforms etc. Back in the day ALL of my stuff with books- scrubs- fees included was about $2500 LoL yep $2500
Wow my program is $40,000
What was the pre requisites course that u had to take before starting the RT program?
Same as nursing pre-req, chem ,English, physics etc
Jazz Black Valcin bio anatomy and physiology.good luck passing them cuz they are HARD
How hard is math in class? Do you actually use math a work ?
Its long division for the most part & you definitely use math on the job for certain calculations like RSBI, IBW, minute ventilation etc.. ❣️
You are funny
Thank you lol 😅
