@leodoingthings1706 it is, but sometimes I feel I can take in more power and get some more speed out of it, which I know sounds very ridiculous knowing a 650 still has enough torque to get you out of any situation.. also, the 650 at high speeds causes a lot more vibration than some 900cc.. If you ask me if I am upgrading anytime soon, the answer is no, because in these 2 years of riding I keep learning new ways of maneuvering using a 650.. and I may not be ready for the 900 yet, as the 650 still surprises me.
As a relative new/returning rider, that is my plan to get the z650 rs and in few years pay it off to step up to the z900rs, but I wonder if I may find the 650 is good enough
@@josephgeorgeejr7039 after 3 years of sv650 i bought triumph with roughly same power. I mean 60kw is more than enough majority of the time, except you want to show off or catch those 600s
my dad considers this bike as a good modern alternative to Honda's Hornet 919. Based on how much he loved that bike when he had one, I see that as a plus point
I have a Z900RS SE 2023 model, and I have a question to ask: what is the red warning light on the rev counter? I don’t have this red light in my bike (I live in Italy). I tried to zoom the video, and it seems it says ETC., but I’m not sure. What is the warning light? Why was it always on all the time? Beautiful and calming video, by the way. Love Kawasaki, Love Japan. Forever.
@@jensensphotography4570 It’s plausibile, but I never seen that warning light. It might be some sort of warning exclusive to Japanese models, but since all Z900RS are built in Japan, I should have that as well, but on my model there is no warning of that kind. In my model (for Italy) I only have the Neutral and High Beam warning lights. Oh I know! It must be something related to the activation of Traction Control, in fact ETC should stand for E (maybe electronic?) Traction Control. However, in Italy we have the “KTRC” acronym, which stands for Kawasaki Traction Control. Someone from Japan who has this bike should explain for us!
@@AlessandroVanzan yeah I was also thinking I could be something to do the traction control. Does any light come up when it is turned completely off? I don’t have the bike or just yet. I need to sell my current bike first then looking at getting the z900rs. But I do know some bikes thru a light on after an aftermarket full exhaust swap
@@AlessandroVanzan Hey Alessandro, ETC actually stands for Electronic Toll Collection system, and that’s basically for highway tolls. Vehicles here usually have an ETC card reader and an antenna installed and I think the red indicator is for this device. When the card is inserted and the bike is ready to pass the toll gate non-stop, the indicator changes to green.
These bikes run hot, not sure why. I had a 2019 z900rs and it was always pretty warm. Riding canyons in 80 degree weather, you'd still get a lot of heat on your legs. This was still the best bike I've ever had though. I'm sure I'll get a 2023 model.
@@armando9293 I'm not going to say the z900rs is best in segment because there aren't a lot of bikes that fit this category. There is the Katana, XSR900, and Honda doesn't really have a retro sport.
what i've gathered from watching content about japan, that you guys have some of the slowest speed limits in the world. does that leads to less high displacement bikes like these?
Not at all, there are plenty of japanese motovlogers that owns 1000cc bikes tourers, cruisers and superbikes but they all ride it like a scooter and they also drop their bikes alot.
Ah Tokyo at night. Love it. I do miss Japan. Great people, food, and motorbikes. Love the green and gold colour scheme on the Kawasaki as well.
as a 50th edition z650rs owner, this bike here is my dream!
isnt limited editions 650 enough for you?

Could be from an exhaust swap?

looks like it runs hot around town no ? The centre LCD has engine temp bar on the right hand side, It was way up for a lot of this ride.

Tokyo, Japan.
What exhaust do you have on that bike?
do you have stock exhaust ?

What exhaust do you have? Doesn't sound like stock.
there were 2 bikes on my list:
- xsr700
- z650rs
I was late for Kawa so I went with Yama. I really like double analogue dash in Kawa
