It's the same situation here in Botswana. The outgoing regime succeeded in plundering our economy to such an extent that they left literally nothing in the national coffers. And they did it in a span of 5 years. The outgone president, his friends, relatives and party cronies amassed immense wealth through corruption. Never in our history have we had such a bad president who cared little for his people. Now the new government of Duma Boko face an uphill battle of restoring the economy back to its glory days and I don't see them doing much as their hands are now tied. Its about time the people of Africa take the power back into their hands and hold these politicians accountable.
