We wish we could have spent more time with you both. Hopefully, we will cross paths in the future. We will give them a nice pet for you:) It was wonderful meeting you both.
Excellent advice. Everything each of you say is on target. Wife and I are into our second year of slow travel and you presented valuable ideas for us to improve on our budget as well as try other countries like Eastern Europe. Thanks so much.
I think Sarande is this next hotspot and I hope people don't flock there in hordes driving up prices. This has happened to Antalya, Turkey which is unfortunate, prices in Antalya have doubled in recent years as people flock there in staggering numbers.
Hi love these vids i'm 3 years away when i pay off rental property first, i want to see many countries first before i decide on maybe o1 or 2 places. I just cant start while my parents are in the mid 80s I cant leave them now.
We enjoy northern Poland in the Summer, also Poprad in Slovakia, Zlatibor Serbia, Bansko Bulgaria, Novi Sad Serbia excluding early July there’s a huge concert that brings in 100k people and lodging goes up considerably. Check out this video if you haven’t on cheap destinations 10 Best Inexpensive Cities in Europe to live in 2024 | Affordable Slow Travel ruclips.net/video/u3NyG7HluoQ/видео.html
Thanks for the info. Does Sarande have ridesharing (Bolt/Yandex/Grab, etc), and if so what is the cost of trips from AirBnb to restaurants/grocery? If no, how much is conventional taxi going across town?
Not that I know of. There are taxes and they are reasonable. It is best to negotiate the cost before getting in for the ride. The city has so many markets that it is very easy to get everything you need by walking. There are buses too and they are very cheap. Restaurants are everywhere.
👋🏼 Small struggling Travel Channel here. I love your content, thanks for this great video! You inspire me to keep grinding my channel, maby one day I’ll grow as big as you 🥲
I live the good life and I live in luxury and I spend less than $1600 a month.Includes everything on the beach of Florida. So why would I want to go to Europe? It will cost me more. I own my home .I am looking for a much cheaper cost of living, like $1,000 or less. . 80 years old can't get insurance out side of USA. Insurance cost in that country who's called left in a 1000 a month. It has to be very cheap medical, so you could rely on your cash. Since you cannot have insurance, do they exist? Those places question. Turkey used to be that way where you could have a great life in a great country. But Turkey had triple and cost past 3 years ago. And it's not visible anymore not to mention they change all immigration laws.
We are really glad you have found a way to live in the US that is affordable for you, and you enjoy your life. We interviewed an 81-year-old nomad. He is living on $18k per year and loving it. You may wish to watch. ruclips.net/video/OGqbh9nS94E/видео.html The most important part is that you are enjoying the life you have. Thanks for watching:)
We travel with our two dogs and really have not run into issues. We have been doing this for over four years. We have fewer options than those who are pet free, but it has not been impossible for us.
I had to google the cities in Albania to finally understand the name of the city where they're at. Sarande in Albania. Is it correct? Again, thank you for considering my request that you put up the name of the cities and places youre referring to in the vidoe. It would be very helpful to your viewers like me.
Please put the name of the cities and country when you interview or talk about where you are. Some of them are less know cities and even countries. It will be helpful when you put the names of the places you mention. Im watching right now and am trying to make sense what is the name f the city or place this couple is. I understood Corfu which overlooks the place theyre at but not where their airbnb is. Thank you for considering my request.
Personally, the expat community in Saranda is closer knit than the Vlore as we understand it. With this in mind, I would recommend Saranda. Perhaps Joel and Michelle and others will also write their opinions too. I hope it works out for you:) Thanks for watching.
No, many people live abroad without a home in the United States. My mother actually lives abroad in the country of Columbia. You will want to have a place for your mail to go in the United States, many people use virtual mailboxes or a relative address.
I think a single person could live on less. We did a video with a solo traveler who is 81 years old. He is living on $18k per year/$1500 per month. I will add the link. ruclips.net/video/OGqbh9nS94E/видео.html
We explained this in quite a few videos, sorry I am assuming you must be fairly new here. If you’re looking for a lower price, AirBnB, make sure you put a cap in the price of your search. Otherwise you will see whatever airbnb wants you to look at. You will also need to make sure you’re looking at the right time of year, if you were looking at summer months, things are going to be more expensive, especially along coastal areas. make sure you are searching for a complete month, if you are searching for one week stays, it’s going to be more expensive.
If you are coming from a European destination to Albania, it’s not as expensive. One example is from Lisbon to Tirana. Flights can be found for $72 per person That is only one example
There are many different prices for airfare as locations. Look through both channels to see how they find great prices on airfares. I used to think traveling around the world was only for the rich. Thanks to great content creators like these I've found it's cheaper than living in most US cities. Good luck on your journey 👍🌞
@@WarrenJulieTravel I was talking about "escaping USA" and airfare from this USA (not Lisbon) is expensive. But you're right that it's the initial cost but thereafter it's cheaper to sustain outside of the US. Even 30k is still a bargain compared to any metro stateside!
You can get cheaper flights to Europe. You just need to get to the continent. You can easily find flights from the US to Europe for under $400 if your patient and search multiple different locations to arrive into. You may be choosing to arrive in Rome or Frankfurt or the Netherlands, maybe Turkey or Belgrade. Are you also looking for a round-trip ticket?
Thanks for having us on the channel! It was great meeting you both and we hope to connect again on the road. Give the fur baby's lots of pets from us!
We wish we could have spent more time with you both. Hopefully, we will cross paths in the future. We will give them a nice pet for you:) It was wonderful meeting you both.
It's great to see two of my favorites together in the same video.
Ahh Thanks!
Thanks ☺️ and thank you very much for watching!

Sadly, inflation has hit so many countries and real estate markets. Thanks for watching:)
Great video! Thank you for sharing the cost of living.
Thanks and thank you for watching us:)
Glad you found it helpful! Like someone else has said in another comment, you don't have to be rich to travel full-time.

Great video! I was wondering how hard it is to find a place that accepts pets? We have 3 cats and this is a great concern to us.
We travel with our two dogs and really have not run into issues. We have been doing this for over four years. We have fewer options than those who are pet free, but it has not been impossible for us.

Good suggestion. We will try to incorporate that. I did just answer the other comment and I added each city. Thanks for watching.

Portimao, Portugal/ Saranda, Albania/Bansko, Bulgaria/Puerto Rico/Brno, Czech Republic and Vila Real de San Antonio, Portugal
Would you recommend Vlore or Saranda for a single lady, 50's who likes smaller towns, beautiful beaches?
Personally, the expat community in Saranda is closer knit than the Vlore as we understand it. With this in mind, I would recommend Saranda. Perhaps Joel and Michelle and others will also write their opinions too. I hope it works out for you:) Thanks for watching.
I am looking for the same as a single lady over 50. Are you also child-Free By Choice?
Should we have USA home property to continue to receive SSA while we travel abroad? Thank you!
No, many people live abroad without a home in the United States. My mother actually lives abroad in the country of Columbia. You will want to have a place for your mail to go in the United States, many people use virtual mailboxes or a relative address.
Why am I in St Cloud Minnesota?! 😢
I guess you will have to explore your options:)
I’m thinking a solo traveler could even save more, maybe $1400/month. Their apt is an awesome location❤
I've seen other singles live for 1000 per month, maybe they aren't carrying health insurance since most were young.
I think a single person could live on less. We did a video with a solo traveler who is 81 years old. He is living on $18k per year/$1500 per month. I will add the link.

Safety wing available up to age 69 about 200 dollars a month I think.
Thanks and thank you for watching:)
So, the 24K per year would also account for the air/train travel to get you from one country to another?
Yes, this is their complete cost for the entire year.
@@WarrenJulieTravel Wow! 😮
I don’t know where people are finding these Airbnb’s for so cheap. I’m not seeing them!

How can this be when airfare alone for 2 people costs $2k to Albania!!

I used airline or credit card reward points for free flights.
