Sebastian Rogers' Dad Tells Nancy Grace He Didn’t Want to Go Back to His Mom’s Home

- Nancy raises concerns about issues of violence in #ChrisProudfoot's past with a previous wife and asks Seth Rogers if he was aware of them. Seth responds that he wasn't aware of any previous violence, saying, “No ma’am I didn’t and I know that Chris has been in Sebastian’s life a while now, before me and Katie divorced.”
Rogers reflects on Sebastian's reluctance to return to his mother's house, “On multiple occasions he has stood there and told me he ‘doesn’t want to go back,’ and I’ve asked him ‘why don’t you want to go back’ and he wouldn’t tell me. He didn’t say why, he was just like ‘I don’t want to go back.’” Seth continues, “At that point in time, I’m just, okay maybe it's the freedom he gets at my house. And he's a teenager. And now I’m finding out about this stuff. I wish he told me.”

He has said he failed him as a dad. I think he trusted Katie and didn't forsee this outcome. His plans were to have Sebastian live with him after the school year. Hindsight is 20/20. Seth loves his son!
@@SharonStainer yea he can. There was no custodial paperwork filed through the courts per Seth. Which means either parent could have full custody and Sebastian could live at either parent’s home. If you believe Seth’s story there was no custody agreement filed in with the court system. And why wouldn’t he take to Katie about the concern Sebastian expressed to him? He just sent him back home!

This case has touched my heart. Sebastian seemed like a sweet, innocent kid, and the biological dad seems like a good man. No one wants to see bad things happen to good, innocent people. These news stories are heartbreaking. People always talk about karma, but tragedy and horror seem to target the innocent more than the guilty.

@@Sonny-cb4xf because both parents have custody and you cannot do that without knowing there is abuse involved and even then, you would have to request emergency court after keeping the child longer than scheduled as they could have called the cops on him

IMO, Sebastian was too scared to tell. As an abuse survivor, who endured a lot, still desls with it after all these years. I am almost 60 years old now. And i remember it all as if it were yesterday.

Most children are scared to speak up bc if for some reason the abusers found out they could then end up getting hurt even worse if they are not removed from that home . The system fails children everyday bc the process of everything is dragged out . There needs to be accountability, on these CPS workers . Sebastian told his teacher about abuse and still had to remain in that home . Now Sebastian is unaccounted for… where is Sebastian
People like that not only threaten you, but threaten harm to those you love. 💔

Lol, that's a very bold statement. I've seen many people go through several marriages and mostly it's because they're dumb and in love and just not very thoughtful individuals. Don't think there's any statistics saying that people with several marriages behind them have a high likelihood of being "predators".
While yes, I do think there may be something off about the stepfather, that’s a very rude and broad generalization to make. There are so many people who have been married many times that are not predators… a female friend of mine is around my age (mid 30s) and she has been married four times. She is not a predator.

Having an adult high functioning autistic (Aspergers) son , I am highly invested in this. I see my son in him, I know from experience that just wandering off and being oblivious to the dangers outside would never happen .

Sebastian was suppose to go live with his father when the scool year finished. They could have done something to him to keep him from telling his father whatever they were doing to him. For all we know Sebastian could have told them he's telling on them that night he disappeared. Hopefully the mother could find it in her to care enough to say the truth on what happened that night to her son that she carried and birth.
