I was at Dollywood October 5th and I was just walking to my destination not tuned into anything around me, and then I heard this band playing and at first I kept walking but then I stopped in my tracks did a full 360 and turned around like woah I’m in LOVEE!!
Spine tingling, sweet, tight harmonies and a fresh, jazzy, soulful, Nashville sound rushes up the acoustic nerves to my brain where it quickly stakes its claim inside my head and has remained, repeating over and over again in my brain. Soon I’m singing along in my mind and going about my daily activities as if something spectacular hadn’t electrified all my senses. I first heard The Woods’ acapella rendition on TikTok and I worried, but only for an instant, if I would become addicted to this sound…of course I would! I hurried over to RUclips to find the studio version of this song and other Woods’ pieces, all of which I listened to with a big smile on my face. Meine Damen und Herren, I recommend to you this amazing ensemble “The Woods”. And to the band, my request is that you also release your incredibly addicting acapella version. I don’t hesitate to say that as this great new sound addicts everyone in its path and spreads out across the oceans, we could see peace breakout in places like Ukraine, new oil and gas discoveries that will supply the world with affordable energy until sustainable energy sources can be developed, and the hearts and minds of mankind will turn away from a lust for money and power and a willingness to use violence to achieve their goals, towards each of us seeking to serve our fellow human beings, promoting peace, freedom, cooperation, prosperity and happiness world-wide. 😎
I watch this video with a sense of nostalgia so heavy I can barely function. This was frame-by frame a reminiscence of my younger years, circa 2001 with an all original band out of Detroit with a pop punk sound. We recorded in a studio out in the boonies (Saline) and I can see it clear as day now. If only I had pursued it with a greater passion I may have achieved a level of accomplishment that rivaled the greats. But, like most musicians, it is but a snippet in time, a capsule that seemed to go on forever while inside of it, yet so far away now in the autumn years. Please live in these times with everything you have. Amazing talent and originality, I can only dream of having ever found this beautiful combination of souls to be in a band with. Carry on.
You guys are incredible, I am not a country music fan, but YOU are different than anything I heard in this genre before, I advertised you already twice on my social media site ......YOU DESERVE WORLD RECOGNITION , you are different :)
I don't know that your group fits into a specific genre but I really love the sound of your harmony's and music you play it makes me think of the eagles. The Woods - awesome - great harmonies and musicianship. Strong songwriting. Resurrecting the Dicky Betts looks with the long locks, stache and fringed jacket. I'm a fan.
Here due to your TikTok Live ! I caught just enough to like it and find out who these Woods's are and what did I miss? A lot, that what I missed, ha ha. I liked and was impressed with the acoustic number I heard to the point I'm checking ya'll out up and down the RUclipss. If I were to complain it would be, "Keep up the good work!" So far, I find the music to have a timeless quality about it, and it sounds instantly familiar, too! Great harmonies! I'm sure I will be hearing more about The Woods.
