    Drew Brees should have retired two years ago, his shoulder has been gone. He has not been physically able to throw the ball past 15 yards. He has still been a good QB in the regular season because his mind is light years ahead, but teams make him beat them deep in the playoffs. The 12 broken ribs didn't help either. Drew has had a remarkable career (breaking four records) and it truly sucks to see him go out like this. He represents everything about the city of New Orleans. It sucks for Brees because the front office made a horrible decision signing a glorified running back Taysom Hill to a starting QB contract. If they have a decent backup Brees can rest longer and he would have play better in the playoff. And Sean Payton must ben thinking to himself when he shook Brady's hand after the game that he could have had the GOAT play for him in this playoff had Brees retired. Payton know the difference between the caliber of Brees and Brady. Brees is a great and a Hall of Famer caliber QB; Brady is the GOAT.

    • @sportsavant2937
      @sportsavant2937 3 года назад +3

      If it is not for Brady, the Bucs would still have a losing records and missed the playoffs. The Bucs would still committing too many penalties and turnovers that they have no chance of winning enough games in the regular season to make the playoff in the first place. You see how clean the Bucs play in the past 6 games vs earlier in the season and especially previous years when they can't keep themselves from committing penalties? Brady has a lot to do with that. And the stats don't tell you how well Brady plays last night. Saints had a great defense. Bucs receivers couldn't get open. It is hard to rack up yards and TDs when your receivers are very well covered. So what do a great QB do in that situation? Forced the ball or make sure you don't make mistake and capitalize on other team's mistakes? He did just that and they won. Drew Brees should have done the same but he was impatient and he forced a few balls that resulted in turnovers. Even with that he could have 4 touchdowns and over 300 yards if his receivers caught them. This is why sometimes stats don't tell a whole story. Notice how Brady's critics used to use TD and yards to say other QBs like Manning were better because they had more yards and tds? Now they no longer use stats anymore because Brady is now number one. His critics use stats when it favors them and immediately pivot to something else when it is not; like in the Superbowl against the Eagles Brady sets all time offensive stats and his critics still say he sucks because he lost that game.

      I don't think we needed Winston to remind us that it's cool to be able to throw deep, that is pretty much the consensus, even though that "cannon arm"/"deep threat" thing is somewhat overrated imho, (I'll take accuracy, or reading the defense well, over "super strong arm" all the time).
      As for Brees, in this game, everybody seems to forget he had his ribcage pretty much crushed a few weeks ago.That might have played a role, and if so the Saints weren't going to advertise it before the game.
      So yeah, maybe he is done, but that has not much to do with the ability to throw super-deep, something that was never his forte and which he lost a few years ago already. It's the lack of zip on short and intermediate passes that were disturbing last night.

    Colin if you look at the THROWS that Brady was making yesterday you will see that he was STEPPING INTO HIS THROWS. When He didn't have a open receiver or could not escape the rush, he TOOK the Sack instead of throwing the ball up for grabs. Brees did NOT look old. Take a look at the TURN OVERS the Saints had. The first interception Drew threw was an ARM THROW when he had to roll out and tried to make a play. He didn't step into his throw and got a PICK. The Interception that WHITE made was because he could see where Drew was going to throw the ball, got in front of the receiver and picked it off. There was another turnover when the ball was batted up in the air and intercepted. The last interception was on Drew Brees. Brady played smarter than Drew Brees. He only had one interception that I recall but it didn't cost him the game.

    • @marcmarco5373
      @marcmarco5373 3 года назад

      I think that the rule that needs to be changed is NOT that one.
      The one that needs to be changed is the one whereas the team who has fumbled the ball gets it back if its rolls outside the playing field. THIS is the "anomaly" !
      You LOST control of the ball and nothing bad happens to you ? That's nonsense and it goes against the fundamental principle of the game : you advance by the controlling ball and keeping it on the field !!!
      When you fumble the ball and can't get it back (recover it in the playing field) you have lost it and the other team should have it at the point where it exited the field.
      That way, the current rule giving the ball to the other team as in a touchback when a fumble exit out of the end zone, would merely be the logical application of a global rule in force at all time : a fumble that gets out of the field results in a turnover.

    • @wakawaka1976
      @wakawaka1976 3 года назад

      @@marcmarco5373 no that one makes perfect sense. You want to take the ball away you actually need to take the ball. Next you will say an incomplete that bounces and is caught by the defense off the ground should count as an interception since there should be some sort of penalty for not catching it on offense...
      The touchback is to penalize anyone trying to roll the ball through the end zone for a TD on purpose. You can’t award a ball to someone who never had it
