Thanks Chantine, your dedication to your sudsers it is really appreciated! The day before yesterday I made your ORIGINAL SOAP PASTE, I did substitute the mango butter with Shea butter. Yesterday I made your ORIGINAL SUGAR SCRUB. I followed your recipes meticulously and both turned out to sheer perfection. Thank you for being so generous with your experience, knowledge and recipes.
I appreciate you! I am a shudder am am slowly going through all your videos. I appreciate that you make products that you won't sell just to educate. That is fricking amazing. You are such an inspiration. Thank you❤
Thank you so much for this series! I have been going back and seeing what small details missed the first (or more) time I watched this. Thank you thank you!
Such a great video on saving a batch. You could give the scrubs out to people who buy your products as samples. Call them Franken Scrubs for Halloween, or sell them as "experimental scrubs by the same name! People will love it!!!! Have a great night!! Jill Gross
Thank you so much for this trouble shooting…I love that you explain the science…it helps me understand better. I’ve learnt that glycerin is not just a humectant 😍😍. I also learnt how to calculating the preservative. You rock 💕
I appreciate you and your videos immensely. Thank you for taking the time to teach. You're an amazing teacher. I made the soap paste following your recipe, all went well. I then used the recipe from your video to make the whipped sugar scrub which was delightful! I piped it into my jars (cause I think it looks pretty,) and put them on the shelf in my soap room. Temperatures in there are about 72 degrees during the day and cooler at night. There is no direct sun in the room. I have been checking it daily to see how it looks and the first two days it looked the same but today to my dismay, the whip has deflated and the jars look like I only filled them up half way, (I filled to the tippy top.) Maybe I should try adding less water to the next batch? I am going to need to make another batch to refill those jars as I'm sure people won't want to receive a half full jar of product. Before I found your videos, many years ago I tried making a whipped sugar soap scrub from a paste and it completely deflated within days and I decided it was way too much work for something that didn't stay fluffy and pretty so I never tried it again. You inspired me to have another go. I'd really love to be able to get it right. Whipped soaps and scrubs are so lovely! By the way, I 100% understand if you don't read this or reply and was a little worried about commenting because I didn't want to assume you'd have the time to read the long post of a stranger and take the time, which is precious, to reply!
Oh no! I just opened one of my jars to test and it actually feels even nicer than yesterday, (despite that it deflated a ton,) more bubble and no waxy feeling, but all the scrubbiness from the sugar is gone. I think it must have been that I used too much water. Eeek! I am going to need to do another batch tomorrow and hope that using less water helps keep it's fluff and the sugar stays grainy. I think I need to re label my current batch as whipped soap, not scrub!
and there I go...you troubled shooted why my whip turned to meringue. ..I added more glycerin during the whipping stage because I thought... well, who knows what I was thinking but there I go!!! Thank you, Mrs. S&C.
Wow, outstanding lessons. You did this masterfully, if there was a PhD in soap making you’d be it. Can’t wait till your next video. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.
I don’t know about all that, but I appreciate the vote of confidence. 😂❤️ I, just like all of us humans breathing in and out, learn something new every day.
I’m not gonna buy a kitchen aid to make this myself but man, I want to crawl right inside that bowl and play with that soap. It looks so soft and fluffy and delightful!
Serious question: there are other brands of stand mixers? When did that happen? I haven’t had a reason to look them up for a while, but had no idea kitchenaid had competition.
Can you give me some advice on where to find vegan meringue powder? I’ve watched every video you’ve made. I am attempting scrub. I just made your soap paste and I am very proud of myself and grateful to you as I am on a small small budget. am a stage four cancer fighter and looking for a low cost hobby. (I know this isn’t it lol.)one that will actually make sense for my family. I would just buy your stuff directly if I could and someday I will. Got to tell you your videos are addictive. You and your husband are both adorable and your information is invaluable.you make me laugh while I learn. Thank you!
I don’t tend to put clays in the sugar scrubs; it can change the consistency of the end product after you’ve packaged. Seeping up the moisture in the container and deflating is what I’ve observed.
I have made this a few times and it is real good the only thing I am noticing is I have small soap particles throughout the scrub not sure what I am doing wrong
I Just want to say thanks for your dedication! Lord knows I appreciate it! You “teach” in a way I catch easily.. lol.. that being said.. I’m Curious your opinion about using guar gum as a thickener, I’ve also read it can emulsify and stabilize things, as well as, potentially aiding lather and skin softening properties... have you tried this? If not I will! For fun lol! I happen to have some on hand… I’ve been testing my hand at all things whipped.. I’m playing with different consistencies.. (I live down by New Orleans and it’s super hot and crazy humid.) I made one that was super nice, then after a week it turned gluey! Like stretchy! Crazy worse than slime! Totally weird.. lol! Wondering if you’ve encountered that?
So I have made this twice now. It seems like my sugar melts some after the scrub sits for a couple days. Its not "scrubby" enough. Do I just add more sugar?
@@MrsSoapAndClay Thank You for replying I appreciate it so much! I’ve been so happy using your recipe, but recently I had feedback from one customer that even though they loved the texture, the scent, the colors, they didn’t like the sticky or tacky feeling. Which I love my customers feedback as it helps me to improve! PS I love every single one of your videos and recipes. I’ve learned so much from viewing them. Thank You for sharing!
hi i have a question hopefully you can guide me I purchased whipped base made from a very reputable soap buisness supplier and it was very squeaky and sticky ugly consistency like a reside i don’t know how to fix it i added jojoba oil and the after feel is the same it didn’t change much i only added about 5 percent of my batch i don’t want to throw away 25 lbs of whipped base i e made it before from scratch and i really like mine better the only issue was the smell sci noodles have can you let me know if there’s a different way to make the base less tacky besides adding carrier oil ?
Kinda. Recipes with melt and pour as the base are too finicky for my taste, but if you MUST use melt and pour I would recommend splitting it with a foaming bath soap (1 part m&p, 2 parts foaming bath soap).
It’s the weirdest thing! So the meringue is made from an egg substitute, apparently, and then processed the same way meringue powder typically is, which is also weird. I’m here for it all! 😂
How would you adjust for a salt scrub using the soap paste, since salt can lessen bubbles. Would you need to add a another surfactant. Thanks in advance I appreciate all your knowledge that you give! Been a sudser since day 1
Hey! I would look to the video that’s coming out this afternoon for assistance with the salt, but yes adding surfactants is a great idea for salt scrubs!
Whipped Troubleshooting!
if its to thick add more glycerin? can do :) i accidently added palm to mine and it hardened on me LOL!
Ha! That’ll get it harder, for sure!

Look at that lovely orange sugar scrub. Lol...looks great!
Hi, love how you explain all the processes. I was wondering if you can use potato starch for your processes. Thank you in anticipation.

Another brand of stand mixer works perfectly just as well. I have KitchenAid in my Kitchen but another brand for my Soaping Nook Studio.
Serious question: there are other brands of stand mixers? When did that happen? I haven’t had a reason to look them up for a while, but had no idea kitchenaid had competition.

That right there is a perfect homemade base! I bought a recipe a while ago, but it didn't create a really good product after. It was too light.
I absolutely love that you're sooo witty lol🤣❣️
Ha! I’m not witty, but I appreciate you saying so. 😂❤️
Thank you so much for this troubleshooting. so helpful 💜 Does the clay also help in thickening? Like kaolin clay.

Thank you love, you just saved my life😂
Can I use coconut flour? Thank you!
Thanks Very Much. Can coco betain be used as part of the water
Not as part of the water, but as an additive, sure.

How do I keep sugar scrubs & butters from melting at a Craft Show
Thank you for all you do...Love you
No you!
How do I know that I’m not over whipping
Can soap paste be replaces with soap shreds ?
Hello! I’ve made this recipe many times and sometimes it feels sticky! What can I use to fix whip sugar scrub so it doesn’t feel sticky or tacky?
Hey! Try reducing the amount of glycerin, or adding more liquid oils.

My whipped sugar soap scrub came out the consistency of marshmallow. How can I fix this?
I love your approach to ignorant criticism!! 💥 💥 💥
Beat them down with science 🧪
📚 ❤️ 📚 ❤️ 📚 ❤️
8:49 As my kids would say... "That thicc!"
😂
Thank you
How come my whipped bath butter has bubbles in it the next day.
How much sugar are you adding to this recipe
Suggestion in the discord from someone else on what to do with the sugar scrub, but also... Kids! They love foamy stuff to play with!
I love your videos. they have helped me soooo much. But vegan meringue? Ground up merigues? ummm......if you say so.
It’s the weirdest thing! So the meringue is made from an egg substitute, apparently, and then processed the same way meringue powder typically is, which is also weird. I’m here for it all! 😂
