Your the Betty crocker of banana bread. This is the best recipe I've come across for a bread machine. And you offer alternative ingredients and cooking methods. My goodness. Thank you
Tried your banana bread recipe today and it baked beautifully. Instead of sour cream I used vanilla yogurt with just 2 cups of sugar and I added 1/2 a tsp of banana extract for extra flavor. Yum.😊 Delicious. Thanks again
This recipe is awesome! I've made it 4 times now and it's been a hit every time. Thank you for sharing this and for teaching us so kindly-I especially love how you make it so optional with the various substitutes.
I normally don't comment on videos but I have to let you know, I seen this recipe 2 days ago and I just made my third loaf of this because it was SO wonderful! I find my bread needs to bake just a few minutes extra on my machine but it's SO worth it. I tweaked it the 4th time I subbed the butter for apple sauce, 1/4 cup of coconut flour for 1 cup of the all purpose (so I had to add an extra egg), and added 2 tsp of pumpkin pie seasoning. Thank you for getting me started, I'm new to the bread maker world and this was the recipe I didn't know I needed lol
Making my first-ever loaf of banana bread this morning! I watched a few different videos first, but I chose this one as my recipe because your instructions are easy to follow and you're so reassuring. I can't wait to taste it!!!
I made it yesterday and 🤩OH WOW IT IS TRULY THE BEST BANANA BREAD IVE HAD! 🤩 it’s sweet and soft. The dough raised well in the machine and cooked nicely. I’m so glad I found your recipe! Now it’ll be the only one we use. My family also loved it!💖 thank you so much!
Thank you for this recipe. I just started using a bread maker and made this banana bread following your recipe. I used 1/2 cup of raw sugar and 1/2 cup of white sugar. As promised, this recipe yielded a lovely textured loaf which is very tasty. Thank you and God bless.
Great video. You made me smile with your ease of natural narration. Just moved back to Hawaii and prices are crazy. I have to get myself a breadmaker. Good job, thank you!
I've never made this recipe gluten free but would love to know if the 1:1 gf flour works. If you try it, please leave a comment and let me know how it worked. 😋
I made this banana nut bread in the Cuisinart bread maker machine and it was so good, & so moist. Did not as much sugar - used 1 cup. Looked like a failure first then just left it alone and went back when it was baked. Totally surprised me! I was beautiful and tasted so good. Will use this recipe forever. Thank you for this recipe.
So glad you enjoyed the recipe! And yes, it's very flexible in that you can reduce the sugar without losing the flavor or texture. Thanks for watching and commenting on your experience with the recipe! :)
Just made it today. I only change the quantity of sugar, reduced it to only 1/2 cup and add 1 cup of chocolate chips. Very nice and highly recommended. Thanks a lot for the recipe, dear. Love it so much
Going to try it tomorrow. Thanks for sharing. I was looking for someone who had tried it with less sugar. Also to the creator of the video, thank you for the recipe.
Like a few other people here.... I'm also a new bee in this Bread Making world ..Found this Channel a few months ago while scrolling down on RUclips ...Followed the recipe and made bread quiet a few times and I'm impressed how each time ( including the 1st ever time I my 1st bread loaf ) my bread loaf comes out well cooked and yummy... Thank you for sharing this easy step to step recipe.. I would really appreciate recipe using different flours / Oats .. Thanks again ..
While I do sometimes use alternative flours mixed into my recipes, I don't make anything that's gluten free. It's a completely different method of baking that I've yet to master. Thanks for watching and trying my recipe!
I just made my first loaf of bread last night. Came out wonderful. I’m so happy to find this recipe and no yeast. I was under the impression we could only make yeast breads,so I’m very excited to try this
Love this recipe. I have made it several times. I have added toasted sliced almonds and even chocolate chips and it turns out delicious every time! Thank you for sharing!
I made this today and it's so nice!! I used half the oil & sugar as I prefer not-so-sweet bread, and it turned out to be a muffin-like texture, and it's caramelized very nicely. I have used my bread machine several times to make yeast bread but they do not turn out great (I think yeast bread is more complex than baking powder). And then I found this recipe which is so easy to follow and I finally made something delicious in my bread machine! Thank you!
Wow love this recipe you shared! Can’t wait to get a bread maker machine and use your exact delicious looking recipe for banana bread one of my favorites! Yummy 😋 Ty ❤ Dulce
You can bake this recipe in the oven as well, but you need to used 2 (greased) loaf pans. If poured all into one pan it will rise up and spill over and burn on the oven floor.
@@helpfulnatural thank you for the great tip. Btw, you inspired me to order the same bread maker, model and style which I researched and found online and should be receiving it soon. Yayyyy!!! Ty again! 🥰

Just made your banana bread using milled soft white wheat berries and it came out fantastic! I used my used Breadman Ultimate bread maker. Thank you for sharing your recipe.
Hi! Getting back after tasting the banana bread and it’s delicious. I used coconut oil and only half a cup of sugar. My Pain en Délices did something weird, and I don’t know why: there were a lot of flour lumps. Anyway, next time, I am halving the oil - it was quite greasy - and running the whole thing in the food processor. Saves time and prevents lumps. Oh, I used the cake setting - 1h 45 - and I needed to add 10 extra mins of the bake program cause the internal temp was a few degrees under. I hope this helps someone who has the model I have and doesn’t use it cause they’re afraid and have had enough sandwiches 😂
That little meows was adorable. Chester? ❤ I'm going to try this recipe when my bread machine arrives. It sounds delicious. Don't know if we have this specific sugar in Sweden but I guess it should work with other kinds of sugar too. 😇🩵🙏🙌
Chester is my big, orange tabby, he's very vocal. 😸 He especially likes to yowl while carrying his toys around the house. You can use whatever sugar you have on hand. The turbinado sugar I used in the video has a slight caramel flavor. Thanks for watching! 🙂
Keep the user manual handy so you know how to load the baking pan and other adjustments that may come up. For the banana bread, make sure to test the loaf at the end of the cycle to see if it's done in the center. This is a very wet batter and can sometimes need a little more baking time. When the cycle beeps that it's done, use a toothpick or skewer and poke it into the center of the loaf. If it comes out clean, the loaf is done and can be removed from the pan. If the toothpick comes out with wet batter on it, it needs more baking time. To do that, leave the pan in the machine, reset it and use the "bake-only" cycle. You won't need the entire 1 hour cycle so be sure to test the bread again after 8 or 10 minutes. As soon as the toothpick comes out clean you can stop the machine and pull out the loaf. Hope this helps. 🙂
OMGoodness! That looks so delicious; especially when the steam rose from the loaf. If only I had smell-a-vision. haha My bread maker is arriving next Thursday. Can't wait to try this recipe. Thanks for sharing.
This recipe is so good! It's moist and tender but not dense like a lot of banana breads I've tried before. Be sure to test the center of the bread with a toothpick or skewer before removing it from the baking pan to make sure it's completely baked. It's a very wet batter and can take a bit longer than the bake cycle in some machines. If necessary, reset your machine and use the 'bake only' cycle to finish it off. Check it again every 8-10 minutes as it won't need the entire 2nd baking time to finish. Hope you enjoy the recipe and your new bread machine. Thanks for watching! :)
@kalsoomAtif vlogs Whether or not to use a bread machine is entirely up to you, it's a personal choice. If you enjoy making baked goods but don't like all the steps, then maybe a machine would work for you.
I've been looking for a good banana bread recipe to make in my bread maker cuz I have a lot of riped 🍌 🍌 🍌 I dont wanna waste and when u said you have been making this recipe for 20 years plus, I knew this had to be a great recipe 😋 and you have that calm sweet voice like my mom so another great reason also to try. Its in my bread machine now CANT WAIT 🤪 🤗 for the final result thank you!!!!!
Great recipe! Gotta try it. Picked up an old bread machine today (West Bend America's Best II Machine, model 41042) at a garage sale. Dates back to 1997. Made my first ever bread this afternoon. Only surprise is most of the recipes call for powdered milk/dry milk which isn't so easy to find in my little hometown. But the machine works great, the bread came out delicious and now I can't wait to try this one! Thanks!
You want to use dry milk if you use the time delay feature on your bread maker, rather than having milk sit in the bread maker for a few hours before it starts.
I have this machine and mine is not used much at all either. Looked into selling it but you can't get much for them. But you've inspired me to once again unbox mine and give it a go. I appreciate how you explain things (like the sugar) and are very laid back about things but still very thorough. Most people are usually one or the other. Great video. Gorgeous loaf btw!
So glad you liked the video and my banana bread! I'm a total scratch baker but every now and then the bread machine comes in handy. I think the pandemic has made these appliances a bit more scarce with everyone baking homemade bread for the past 10 months. There are tons of them on ebay but the prices are ridiculous, especially the models I've purchased at thrift stores for $5 bucks. This West Bend model did a great job with this recipe and I can't wait to try a yeast bread recipe in it! Thanks so much for watching! :)
Hi This bread is so good. Been using a bread machine many years and this recipe is the absolute best recipe for the machine Have made it adding the turbinado sugar with raisins. So good and moist. If you are new to bread machines please try this one.
Practicing with your bread machine will definitely help improve the outcome. Like anything else it is a learning experience. This banana bread recipe is very easy to make however because the batter is considered 'wet', you may need to increase the baking time to make sure the center of the loaf is fully baked. Poke the center of the loaf with a toothpick or skewer. If there is any wet batter on it, you'll need to bake it longer. Use your bread machine's independent "bake only" cycle if it has one to complete the baking. Test the loaf again about 10 minutes into the cycle, you won't need it to bake the entire cycle, you just want to get the entire loaf baked. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching! :)
It went amazing! I did some adjustments (only had one egg, used cake flower and added a cap full of vanilla) and it came out perfect!! Browned perfectly and was so moist! Was nervous of the middle not cooking, but came out amazing! Using this recipe from now on!
@@jeankatetv9138 The readmaker has an automatic time i believe was 1 hour and 40 minutes, then its best to let it rest in the maker when it beeps done before you take it out.
Please do a video on zucchini and carrot bread. Have made both using coconut oil and both were good but would value your recipes and opinions. Thank you very much .
I too, followed your recipe and made my first ever loaf of banana nut bread (fr Texas). Turned out great! Thank you for your directions and the video - very helpful. Used cane sugar & 1/2 c. light brown sugar (it’s what I had) and walnuts - worked great. Can’t wait to try the pecans! Thanks again❗️👍
I tried this recipe with 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/3 cup of butter, 3/4 cup of almond slices, 1/2 cup of chocolate chips, and 2 bananas. It came out a yellowish color. Not very sweet, but very soft and tasty on the inside. Turned out great! Though, my bread machine made it come out as a cube instead of a loaf haha... I broke it into chunks to store in the fridge :)
Looking good!! I bought a used Black and Decker. It actually had never been used as the lady had it as a second in case her first gave out. Had all it's paper work and styrofoam. I have only used it for bread, so far, and I am learning. But this looks like a good next thing to try. Thank you.
Hello from chicago! I got my first bread maker and i just made this bread! Delicious 😀👍...i will never buy bread again! Im just making all sorts of bread! Thanks 💰
That's so good to hear! Thankfully yeast and flour are back on store shelves too! :D There are 2 bread machine recipe books I own that I use over and over again with my bread makers. They are old and out of print but are still available used on amazon and/or used book stores. They're both by Better Homes and Gardens. One is titled: Best Bread Machine Recipes for 1-1/2 and 2 lb. loaves. The other is called: Bread Machine Bounty for 1 and 1-1/2 lb. loaves. These are my bread machine bibles! Lol! Thanks for watching and have fun with your new machine! :)
just got a breadmaker and made this today...while it was delicious and i will make it again it seemed like right dead center it wasnt completely cooked...dont know if it was too much bananas or a newbie error some home but we loved it
It is a very wet batter and may take a longer baking time to finish it off. If you have an independent "bake" cycle, reset your machine, then use the bake cycle to finish. You will not need the entire baking time though so check it with a skewer or toothpick every 8-10 minutes until done. Hope this helps. 🙂
Saved in my "Bread Maker" playlist haha. I'm waiting for my Zojirushi to get here. It's a REALLY old model, but i'm very hopeful, appliances that were made in the 80's and 90's were mostly built to last. Can't wait hahaha.
Love making Banana Walnut Bread in my West Bend Baker's Choice bread machine. I will try turbinado sugar on my next loaf. Your bread looks so delicious. Wanted to reach through the computer screen and cut a slice to go with a cup of coffee!!!🍞
That's wonderful! I'm so happy to hear that I can sub straight across with spelt and it's easy to veganize. It's hard to find recipes that people have tried with ancient grains and I can't eat modern wheat. Thanks!
@@helpfulnatural I followed your recipe exactly, but with spelt and it was fantastic. Using turbinado sugar was inspired. After we started gaining weight I had to take charge and freeze the remainder of the bread because we couldn't stop eating it.
@@melody5437 Lol! I know the feeling. I use spelt in this recipe a lot. My latest loaf (which is in the fridge), I made using whole wheat pastry flour and it came out just as tasty. :)
Thank you for the recipe! This sounds so yummy. I am going to try it today. I am really new at this (first time trying my bread machine today). According to my manual for my Bella machine, the quick setting is for breads using yeast and the cake setting is for breads using baking soda, baking powder and eggs so I am guessing I would use the cake setting.
Yes, use whatever setting your manual states when using recipes with baking powder rather than with yeast. I hope you like the banana bread, it's so delicious! Thanks for watching! :)
Just make your banana bread recipe in my new Dash Bread Maker. It's the first time I've make banana bread. The bread looks and smell amazing! Thanks for sharing! ~watching from Norfolk, Virgina.
I tried this in the oven today but only have one 9x5 loaf pan. So i put half of the batter in the loaf pan for 45 min at 350 and the other half of the batter in a 6 muffin tin for 20-25 min @ 350 and that worked out well too.

Hope this helps. 🙂

Thank you so much! I really hope you like the recipe, it's one of my all time favorites! Thanks for watching! :)
Great video, thanks for sharing !!
Thanks! It's such a good banana bread. Thanks for watching! ☺
Thanks!
That sounds great! If you can't find powdered milk, just use regular milk in place of it and the water in the recipe. Thanks for watching! :)
You want to use dry milk if you use the time delay feature on your bread maker, rather than having milk sit in the bread maker for a few hours before it starts.
I just made this recipe today. I have the West Bend that has dual paddles. Used the Sweet cycle and used a little less sugar. Loved it.
So glad you liked the recipe. It's very flexible. Thanks for watching! 🍞

Thank you I am just waiting for my new bread machine to be delivered.. And I also subscribed for more good recipes from you..❤
I have this machine and mine is not used much at all either.
Try this recipe and it came out perfect thanks for it
Can’t get enough of this bread….soooo good !!!!!🤗😁
Hi
This bread is so good. Been using a bread machine many years and this recipe is the absolute best recipe for the machine
Have made it adding the turbinado sugar with raisins. So good and moist.
If you are new to bread machines please try this one.
Awesome! I have still to master my own breadmaker ... I hope one day my bread will come out like this!
Thanks for the recipe, making some now!
It went amazing! I did some adjustments (only had one egg, used cake flower and added a cap full of vanilla) and it came out perfect!! Browned perfectly and was so moist!
Was nervous of the middle not cooking, but came out amazing! Using this recipe from now on!
That's great! So glad you like the recipe. Love the addition of vanilla, may give that a try next time. :)
How many minutes mam
@@jeankatetv9138 The readmaker has an automatic time i believe was 1 hour and 40 minutes, then its best to let it rest in the maker when it beeps done before you take it out.
Amazing video! Reminds me of my biological grandmother 🙂
This will be my 1st thing to make in my bread maker😋
That looks sooooo good. Thank you for sharing.
It's so good! Hope you give it a try! 😋🍌🍞
I did this today and omigod did that come out wonderful I thank you
👍
Excelente receta! He hecho otras y les aseguro esta es la mejor!!! Es húmeda y sabrosa. Ahora la voy a probar en horno convencional.
¡Gracias! Me alegra mucho que hayas disfrutado la receta. ☺
😊 great 👍 I was going to Try this.
I made this bread today. Fantastic! Thank you🎉
Ty for the recipe. I just bought my machine and I'm excited to try the banana bread
Ps your kitty in the picture is so cute
Hope you enjoy the recipe. Thanks for watching! :)
That looks awesome I don’t eat bananas but I would try that.
Please do a video on zucchini and carrot bread. Have made both using coconut oil and both were good but would value your recipes and opinions.
Thank you very much .
I’ve used banana flavoured yoghurt and a a teaspoon of cinnamon. And add raisins. My family loves it
Sound like banana raisins bread to me! 🤣🤣🤣
@@helpfulnatural Thank you so much! 🙏
Awesome recipe !
Just got my bread machine ,,,making this for sure
Made this and it was so good. I didn’t have bananas so subbed for crushed cherries. Oh and used half and half sugars.
Interesting swap out. I've never tried it with cherries. Glad it came out well. :)
@@helpfulnatural yeah I took a chance and tried some cherries in a jar, so not my favourite but they tasted great in this recipe. 😁
just got a breadmaker and made this today...while it was delicious and i will make it again it seemed like right dead center it wasnt completely cooked...dont know if it was too much bananas or a newbie error some home but we loved it
It is a very wet batter and may take a longer baking time to finish it off. If you have an independent "bake" cycle, reset your machine, then use the bake cycle to finish. You will not need the entire baking time though so check it with a skewer or toothpick every 8-10 minutes until done. Hope this helps. 🙂
Made this today it is pretty good! Thanks for posting!
Saved in my "Bread Maker" playlist haha. I'm waiting for my Zojirushi to get here. It's a REALLY old model, but i'm very hopeful, appliances that were made in the 80's and 90's were mostly built to last. Can't wait hahaha.
Yes, they were built like tanks. 😀 Hope you enjoy the recipe. Thanks for watching! 🙂
I’ll be making this bread 🥖 for sure thank you 😊
Thank you so much for the Banana bread recipe
I hope you like it. Thanks for watching! :)
Love making Banana Walnut Bread in my West Bend Baker's Choice bread machine. I will try
turbinado sugar on my next loaf. Your bread looks so delicious. Wanted to reach through the
computer screen and cut a slice to go with a cup of coffee!!!🍞
Thank You so much I
Am going to make this.
Hi Kathy
How are you today?🌹🌹
That's wonderful! I'm so happy to hear that I can sub straight across with spelt and it's easy to veganize. It's hard to find recipes that people have tried with ancient grains and I can't eat modern wheat. Thanks!
I love spelt and it works beautifully with this recipe. Thanks for watching! :)
Love... Love... Love this recipe... I made it once... It was Great... My family Loved it too... Making again tonight!😋
So pleased with it. Better than making it in main oven.
It's easier and less time consuming for sure! Just pour everything into the bread machine and it does all the work. 😋 Thanks for watching!
Just bought a West bend and now I'm REALLY ready to get a loaf going!! This looks fabulous!! Thanks!!
Congratulations on the new bread machine! Hope you enjoy the banana bread. Thanks for watching! 🙂
I’m salivating!
My banana bread was great thanks I used 3 bananas they were small. I make this bread 4 times a week
👍
I hope you enjoy the recipe, it's delicious! :)
I tried this in the oven today but only have one 9x5 loaf pan. So i put half of the batter in the loaf pan for 45 min at 350 and the other half of the batter in a 6 muffin tin for 20-25 min @ 350 and that worked out well too.
Yes, it makes great muffins too!
