Jody Watley was showered with affection and admiration in Atlanta for “Jody Watley Day,” at the Georgia State Capitol, Thursday June 2nd, 2022.
She was publicly recognized for her time, effort, and dedication to humanity in the form of the prestigious Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award at the ceremony.
“Today was incredible,” says the Grammy winning trendsetting icon in music, video, fashion and style. “To be honored and recognized in this way with your own day and the presidential lifetime achievement award is absolutely surreal, and I’m truly grateful to everyone who has supported me throughout my journey.”

Thank you, Jodi. I really appreciate this message. I loved your music as a child doing the 80s. I am currently in the process of launching a life coaching business. Like most people, I struggle with self-doubt, and worry too much about how other people see me, and dealing with rejection throughout my life. I don't have a need for all of those people who have rejected me throughout my life. There is nothing wrong with me.
Even though I listen to trap and rap music I like Jody Watley music aswell my parents put me on my favorite of hers is I’m looking for a new love, Friends, do you want me, etc..
