thanks ahee... how about the scratch part... did you sample some scratching or did you create them with delays or something like that? if not scratching, how about a tut for how 2?
Cheers Buddy ! You do a fantastic job of delivering the information in a simple and digestible way. I am actually doing research on the best tutorials and "secrets" for my own videos and vlogs Ill be doing soon once I finally get the Fibre optic internet in my rural area. Ill be sending people your way for sure as I am of the mind that you should never limit yourself to single source of info on a subject and good info on music production for is VERY limited imo, unless you want to sound like you or Virtual Riot( which isn't a bad thing! lol and shout out to Venus Theory). Plus I work in Studio One and Bitwig, so it'll be good to have a place to send people for similar and like minded Ableton resource. O and BTW Studio One has an spectrum analyzer FFT built it o the EQ AND you can SEND SIDECHAIN SIGNALS to it this has become essential to my workflow. In fact ANYTHING that processes dynamics has a sidechain route, the speed and clarity of my EQing has just hit ridiculous new levels!.. and this just a matter of opinion but i encourage anyone using Ableton to not switch to Studio One but have a try at routing Ableton into Studio One and get the best of both worlds with a simple Alt Tab. Studio Ones mix engine is far more powerful and capable. The 64bit depth is unbelievable. Headroom I didnt think was possible I can extract sounds from almost inaudibility to full clairty in just a few key strokes because of yet another studio One DAW killer, MACROS, and believe it or not your computer will run better because of PreSonus' focus on optimization and workflow.. AHEE for real bro I dont EVER suggest thimgs to tenured a journeyman type skill levels unless I have both tested and found undeniable results and new outcomes. After peeping a few of your videos it led me to the thought u may be alot like me when it vomes to how to do things... Studio One honestly haskept me alive and was a huge catalyst in my victory over depression. but regardless cheers and hope to collab someday soon!
I use Soothe 2 for this, however in moderation (honestly, probably under doing it lol). My favorite method is the Skrillex method with Pro-Q 3 used as adaptive EQ'ing set with linear phase. Sometimes, even both is cool if it sounds good.
Was surprised by totally not hearing that sub bass in headphones (Focusrite Saffire 6 USB + Sennheiser HD598). Usually I hear most of bass down to 50Hz in these headphones. Always thought that having a bass lower than 50Hz is pointless as most club/concert speakers will have some sort of lowcut at around 50Hz (or being too weak to reproduce that sound loud anyways). But at the same time I was curious why DBX Drive Rack has subharmonic generator at 35-56 Hz & 24-36 Hz. Worked as a mobile dj on many random woofers and most of setups had like 15'' or 18'' subs that could not always be effective at such a low end to be honest. When playing low-frequency music at a new venue I could be surprised when the local setup has even higher hardware bass cut made. So that's why I got surprised to see a very low sub-bass here. I guess, I should once again watch your video with SPAN analyzing reference tracks to dig deeper.
Right click in Span copies the frequency value & then you can paste it in the EQ.
🤯 I'm trying that tonight lmao
The fact that you can hear the 19k resonance is the most impressive thing about this video....
Haha best comment
I knew about resonant EQ, but not the "Scale" feature. Thanks dood.
Learned this trick a few years ago on a getter production video although I believe he called it "combing" trying to get rid of the harsh frequencies
Cool! Cheers mate
tremendo video compa
I have had this problem on a couple of tracks, this looks to be super helpful. Thank you for posting!
Lol getting better at these video edits. Had me rollin at "free stuff"
Thanks for the table! Amazing
THANKS G
Man, how come I haven't come across you, sick tracks dude.
awesome!
Great video Ahee, well done :)
I've done this with the eq before but I never thought to use SPAN to be more accurate with it. Super dope homie
i love the jungle dragon beat bass omg
Greetings from the UK , I make techno and your videos are Ace!
Thanks for the download sheet on frequencies too 🔥💪🏻❤️
thanks ahee... how about the scratch part... did you sample some scratching or did you create them with delays or something like that? if not scratching, how about a tut for how 2?
White noise -> Automated Bandpass, I should do a tut on that!
@@OfficialAHEE Thanks for the tip. Works like a charm!
gr8 stuff as usual! thanks so much for doing these for the community!

thanks for the chart!
Great video, why not use abletons spectrum rather than span?
Because it’s more accurate
love this technique! and them new releases!!! 💪🔥
Hey this is TiVo. Maybe a better example might work with the low end or midrange of frequencies pick to demonstrate (maybe?)
Dope
Many of the Seattle group I'm a part of love your tips and videos, including myself. Thank you for everything you do. -fellow alien 👽
fantastic job!
THANKS MAN YOU'RE THE BEST!
My man! Keep it up!
Explained in a way that made sense! Preesh!
Ahee you're awesome my dude!!

Would be dope if you could set one of the eq points to key tracking
Soothe sort of does that, but not super accurate, still helpful
Thank you for all that you do < 3
This is important content. Also, jungle dragon beat slaps. Threw it in my new mix. Thanks, fella.
you can do cool sound with scale. I automate it a lot :)
I use this all the time
damn love that scale trick! ty
Dude your track Night Monkey is dopppppppppe! 🔥🔥🔥
Criminal that this only has
Great video!
Those frequencies still seem way too dynamic. Would you also do some compression to tame the peaks?
Some heater tracks.
Thanks for the tip! :)
Damn I was completely blind to the scale function. Use this all the time, but only by ear. Visualizing is too important. *downloads span finally
Span is my favorite plug-in of all time!

Zen World has a video on it
Good stuff
Great tutorial, as always! Just out of curiosity, why don't you trust the midi note in the sub? Is midi world as I know it about to end??
Cause sometimes when resampling the midi notes don’t line up w/ actual notes. But for synths totally ok
@@OfficialAHEE what about when you’re modulating the pitch inside the synth? Then it will not match the midi note right?
!!!!!!!
Helpful tip fa sho.
big up for the algorithm
EQ spike gang gang!
Love yo shit
I guess no one is going to talk about the cosmos trip
My dude , just use soothe for high end
.
u halp me make better techno thx
Thx! (The tracks are fire 🔥)
