An English teacher explains how to talk about hypothetical situations that could happen in the future, present, and past. Visit www.learnameri... for more videos, free lessons, and exercises.
Your teaching method is amazing. In a short video, you deliver all of the required information to the students, contrary to most of the other online teachers who take half an hour of the audience time to teach a simple thing.
Hello teacher ! I have a question to ask. I can write and read but I cannot speak English automatically. I think a lot about what I wanna be talking, sometimes I get stuck when I talk to people. What should I do so that I can speak English automatically without hesitation ? Please help me sir.
Hello Paul! Thank you so much for the explanation of such an uneasy theme! My examples (I tried doing well): What if the weather is good tomorrow? We will probably have a walk. What if I found $200? I would go to a restaurant. What if I had been born as a bug? I can't have spoken any human language. What if he had never read books? He would have been an unhappy person.
I am a Bangladeshi. I want to learn english but I can't be fluent. your tutorials are very good and I watch them regularly. Let me know how can I be fluent in english?
You're welcome, and the sentence you wrote is almost perfect except that you need to put a comma after the word "English" because it marks the end of a dependent clause.
Paul thank you very much for the amazing explanation. I stared yellow level. Unfortunately your website has not been working for the last few days. Any good news about fix?
Can we say the below sentences? "What if he is/was telling the truth?" "What if he has been/had been telling the truth since the beginning?" "What if he hasn't known about it?"
Thank-you for your generous compliment. To consider a past possibility, you would say, "What if I hadn't seen this ...." You need to use the past perfect in this instance.
sir which is right sentence according to present tense - what if i told you,you were only one who could do it? or what if i told you ,you are the only one who can do it? which is right sentence? please tell me.
I'm confused by the "What will you do?" vs "What would you do?" I think either can be used. Will = a promise, Would is less than a promise, it's an idea of what you think you would do.
What if + Present simple - it's like real situation? And What if + Past simple - imaginary situation??? Like in conditionals? They sound pretty the same, because what if is already about assumption. What if you forget your keys (what will you do) ? What if you forgot your keys (what would you do) ? What if we buy a house? - It's suggestion???? What if we bought a house? - Assumption????
Plz explains. Why do you give future time maker at the end of present form of "what if phrase " e.g. what if your alarm clock doesn't go off tommorow morning. Is it ok to use tomorrow morning for present form?
Hello Sir, asked many times about All The ,DA,PA and The,DA,PA, Whole . Why we keep Determiners The,PA, DA after ALL & before WHOLE. I want to know logic behind of this. Can you help me to understand this? and order of determiners in sentence. please

From the Middle East Hi Paul
Hi my teacher, in the yellow level, I’ve been learning real English but the following exercises can’t be appeared to make the practice.
Hello Sir, asked many times about All The ,DA,PA and The,DA,PA, Whole . Why we keep Determiners The,PA, DA after ALL & before WHOLE. I want to know logic behind of this. Can you help me to understand this? and order of determiners in sentence. please
Q: What if you had never learned English.
A: I wouldn't have started learning English on youtube.
You wouldn't have known what I'm saying
@@mosesreza510 How could I understand you if I didn't know English?

I teach English. I have noticed that Americans tend to say things like, "What if I wouldn't have..."
It actually annoys me! Lol!! Its in films all the time.
Dear Americans,
Please learn to use the past perfect and mixed conditionals correctly! You're driving me nuts!!

Me.
You're right. They should say, "What if I hadn't..../ What if I had...." and then the past participle follows the helping verb "had."
We can't change the past. No matter what has happened. What if we could change it?
We would not have mistakes to repair.
Please any class no simple past anda Present perfect
👍👍
What if I had born in king family.
What if i had not gone school i would work former in my land
