@@dumon32 Hi! I would say the intro deck is a fantastic purchase for someone just starting the game. It is a better product than trial decks for two reasons, both that it is stronger than an average trial deck and that it is built such that you only need 1 of it compared to most trial decks where you need to buy two and “combine them together” to create a functional deck.
I’d say $12 is a reasonable price, I’ve seen it slightly lower at around $10 but not a big difference. It is a very fun deck and fully functional as is, granted it’s not going to be a full-on meta deck but if you ever do decide to go deeper into the game, cards from that intro deck are used. In fact, my most competitive bang dream deck still uses cards from the intro deck, and to great success.
If you have any further questions feel free to ask, I love talking about Weiss and do consider myself an expert in the Bang Dream set :)

@ Sorry but I usually don’t like mixing my socials. Let’s see if we can address your questions on here for now and maybe if it ends up being too much or cumbersome we can swap to discord later. Happy to help.

@@Nekuphones oh its okay! Its cuz i tbh don't know a way at all to start, i really dont have anyone around me to play with me, nor how to play, do you have tips on how to play in general? where to play even online, i heard people just use discord to play against each other
      I have bought it btw!
To be different, I also bought like a love live trial deck since i love... love live too lol, so ill have 2 decks to play
is playing different franchises TOOOO different? Like, the BanG Dream play is super different than the love live or other, or it has a lot the same thing, making it easy to play with different decks?
Do u usually play with people online or physically? I would like to know how different it could be tbh,
But yeah my biggest question is where to start, to know how to play at all, if its bang dream or any other deck, ya got the info for me so i can sit down and learn? ahaha
      Again thank you

@ Hi, so sorry for the late reply, but for some reason I didn’t get notified about this comment! Just happened to go back and reread our messages and saw that you did indeed reply.
So firstly, there are discord groups for that, the main one is called “Weiss Schwarz TCG” and it currently has around 7900 members. This one is good for discussion, newbie questions, ruling, deck building, buy/sell/trade, etc. There is a second group called “Bushiroad Remote Fight” where you can “queue” into matchmaking via webcam games, I used to use it a lot during Covid but haven’t touched it in the past 2-3 years, I think it’s still pretty active but can’t confirm. This one I would probably hold off on until you at least know the basics of the game though.
In regards to different series: yes the whole point of the game is to make a deck of a certain series you like and play against a different one! Generally you can build a deck using any cards within the SAME series (for example Bang Dream 5th anniversary W95 is compatible with BD Girld Band Party vol 2 W63, etc, but is NOT compatible with Love Live, Oshi no Ko, AOT, etc). I would say that playstyles between different series are generally pretty similar to each other so I wouldn’t be too worried about switching between series. With regards to your specific question of BD 5th anniversary intro deck vs Love Live trial deck, the Bang Dream one is admittedly much more powerful so it may not be a “fair” fight. Love Live might still have a chance though, just due to the nature of the game.
I learned this game around mid/late 2019 and taught myself primarily by playing against myself with two trial decks and the playmat/rulebooks that came with the trial decks out next to me. There are some guides out there but I feel like it’s easiest to learn by just going thru the motions step by step. At least that’s what worked for me.
Any other questions? Feel free to ask and hopefully this is helpful to you!
