the foil tape becomes more effective if you unmount the lid to the tin. then flatten out the hinge pieces with a wood block. put on the tape then. you can fit 2 of these in a hexi cooker. also your large altiod tin stove will fit inside a hexi / carri /bcb dragon /esbit cooker.

Man I thought I had just come up with idea. I have used oasis foam as a wick and carbon felt as a barrier to stop it oxidizing

Use your grate under the alcohol stove.
A lid on the pot makes a huge diff too. Cut minutes off your time.
You can try using the bigger altoid container and make a pot stand of what you have here on the video, only a slightly bigger version.
