Wow, this has been stunning to experience. I'm used to listening to podcasts where Pathfinder books can take 30 episodes with all of the details and distractions. Summarizing them in just a couple of hours is fantastic!
That fight was very, _very_ close to a TPK. Diyanah going down early and Marius booking it for the whole fight due to the fear spell really could have ended things for the party. Aurelius and Demi proved very adaptable under pretty difficult circumstances.
I'm really enjoying this. It is a format that I can listen to while doing other things - such as prepping for my group's next session. The format is great.
What an incredible first book! I actually picked up these pdfs from Paizo because this telling is so compelling. I’ll be interested to see where your GMing and your groups play choices changed the AP. Big fan of this style. Can’t wait!
I get more into how my adventure deviates from the core adventure in parts 2 and 3. It _really_ goes off the rails in part 4 though, which we've just kicked off in RL.
Another fantastic episode. I'm still really enjoying these. Thank you! I would love to know more about the characters build though. That's just me though :-)
I was trying to intentionally avoid this, as many of my viewers are PF2E players and this game is bring run in PF1E. I'll talk a little bit about character mechanics though in my next episode which is my 2 year anniversary special.
We play after work from 6:15 - 9:30 or 10:00 getting between 3 and 4 hours of play-time per session. I think Book 1 was about 10 sessions in all (about twice as many sessions as there were episodes). So probably about 30-40 hours of actual playtime was condensed into this recap.
@@TheMythkeeper More frequently I love this. if my internship goes to a full-time position this is a not insubstantial part of why I'll probably become a member.
@@robertpanasuk1156 Rock on! Glad to hear it. More is difficult, because I have to balance this with my other regular content, but I'm glad for the feedback all the same. Frankly PF616 doesn't get as many views as my lore videos, and I've already planned to make them every other drop just because I personally love this series. ;-)
So, this is a 1. Edition AP, right? In your opinion, how difficult would this be to run in 2e? And do you think, this could be customized in a way, where it could be used as something like a F/SN Holy Grail War?
I think this would be relatively low uplift to convert to a 2E campaign. Most of the monsters already exist in 2E, and the submechanics would translate easily, so it would be a fairly straight-forward switch. As for Holy Grail War - here I have to admit I'm out of my depth. I'm not familiar enough with this genre to say. 😅
@@TheMythkeeper In the Fate series, it has usually 7 Mages (though the grail seems to like throwing random people in, who have the potential to be a mage, but aren't, at least at the start of the Story), chosen by the "Holy Grail", equipped with 3 command seals each, and paired up with a Heroic Spirit, a Manifestation of Heroes or otherwise notable entities from History and/or mythology, such as King Arthur, the Knights of the Round Table, Alexander the Great, Attila the Hun, Heracles, etc. These Mages (Masters) and their Heroic Spirit (Servants) then battle each other, forging and breaking alliances, until only one pair remains, which is then granted a Wish by the Grail. That's roughly the concept of the series. In Game Terms, the PCs would each be either a Summoner or have the Summoner Archetype, with their Eidolon being a Hero from the past, and since Golarion is connected to both earth and Mars via the worldscape, their Eidolon could be a Hero from any of the places the worldscape connects to.
"it's just a Halfling!" Oh, Diyanah, those are famous last words.
🤣🤣🤣
I don't usually listen to live play podcasts, I'm really enjoying this storytelling approach to exploring Adventure Paths!
Glad to hear it!
Emistios being with the assasins was such a plot twist! 😮
Maybe my favorite 🤣🤣🤣
Loving the story so far and the format is perfect. Please just keep telling us this amazing story. Have a great day. 👍
Thank you for watching, commenting and supporting!
@@TheMythkeeper Your welcome.😀
@@TheMythkeeper To piggyback off of this, if you have more campaigns after War of Crowns is finished, then please share them! This is great content
@@HeathenHammer8 As we get close to wrapping on this adventure, I'll probably do a fan vote as to what adventure I run and recap next.

Awesome! Thank you for the kind words
Only thing I could possibly ask for would be these as longer form videos, keep it up MythKeeper
As we get into Chapter 2, these videos will be getting a bit longer. :-)
The finale was so tense. I was afraid it gonna be a TPK😅
I really like this series and looking forward for the second book

great job once again! I always enjoy these.
Awesome, thanks for watching and commenting too.
I'm loving the format, and excited for the next 9 episodes!
Thanks so much for the kind words
I love the story so far! This video style is super smooth and slick compared to other live plays. I definitely will be here for the rest of it!
Thank you for the kind words
Thank you, for the upload and the hardwork.
And thank you for watching and for the engagement 🙂
I am thriled to the next episode, realy enjoying the format

My only suggestion is maybe highlight some more of the system, like what feats or things the PCs use.

Ah. I must have missed that. I’m still in favor of that, but am fine with you doing what is best for your channel. I love this series and approach

Are you running this in 1e or 2e btw?
This is being run in its original version - 1E
Format is excellent, what did you and your players think of the campaign?
We're actually still playing (we're at the beginning of Book IV as I write this) but so far its been tons of fun for the players and for me as a GM.
Amazing video as always. I was just wondering how long did it take you and your group to finish book one?

You play 3 hours every day? No wonder you can pump these out so quickly! @@TheMythkeeper
The only thing I would change if I had the power to change it would be the pace of release. I know I don't have that power.
More frequent? Less frequent?

Idk if you have already but would u cover side characters in the lore?
Potentially, in the future ;-)
