Great video mate and you made some excellent points. If it wasn't for sports games the Mega Drive probably wouldn't have been so popular. I love Kart Racers so many variations. I'll be honest i have gone the PC route now as my boys have the PS5 and if im honest I was more inclined to spend that sort of money on a PC.. Enjoyed this 👍

That was a lot of hot takes…not sure where to begin 😂 I agree with you on 100% achievements. I did it for Morbid as it relatively easy to pull off but the majority of the games I play with achievements will never be 100%. The exception to the rule for me is Streets of Rage 4 as I enjoyed that game so much I keep coming back to it once in a blue moon to chip away at the achievements (one to go!). Full game sets I agree as well, I don’t have any ill will towards people on that journey but I refuse to pay loads for a game that I will never play. Games are to be enjoyed, not be trophies displayed on your shelf. FFVII is a fantastic game but not sure where I would place it. I didn’t play it till 2005/2006 via the EA PC port (this was before steam). I have fond memories of it as I was in my first year of uni, first time on my own and I finally beat it during the summer holiday before year 2 when I was living on my own as my house mates had gone home for the summer but I stayed to work 😂
I might still go back and get the plat on Morbid, before the stream, but probably wont lol SoR4 is one I still need to play, looks class. FFVII is the daddy, live it and will forever be up there with the best 😁

Enjoyed listening to the hot takes Gordon , I'm also not somebody who is a trophy hunter or obsessed with platinums, I'm also a Sony pony And you're right the PS3 is far superior to 360, I have to disagree with you about Nintendo first party games though I think those games are what make Nintendo succeed and stand out from the rest , The switch itself is Overrated, , It's Far under powered Compare to everything else And can't really run the big modern games very well, I know many people in the community Say it is the king of rpg gaming And the best way to play those games as well as retro , Retro inspired games and indie games, Yeah I know it's portable but Yeah so is my phone or tablet 😂 So the point I'm trying to make I think the reason a lot of people have one is because of those first party games, If Mario, Zelda and all the rest were available On all the other Platforms I feel the switch Would have been far less successful,, I know I would have just played these games on my PlayStation, Great job you definitely gave a lot of things for people to comment On And agree or disagree with you on, Oh And Final Fantasy VII Could be the greatest game of all time
Nintendo is a funny old thing, the fanfare surrounding it (particularly the switch) is clouded. The switch is a good machine, but its not the best out there. I do agree that it is ideal for those "modern-retro" style games mainly due to its portability and those games dont require much technical power. I like playing my switch but it is Secondary to my PS systems lol. Its the constant "10/10" "GOTY" "best-thing-since-sliced-bread" chat that comes with ninty 1st party releases that really grates on me lol Cheers Marc 👊 Oh and you are right on FFVII 💙
