Gotta say Rene rockin the show for those who know. What a blinder this is. Rene’s a proper oldskool selector like me. Who knows maybe one day Rene and myself will break into a disused warehouse in London with all the bells and whistle’s and invite all the old heads to party like only we know. Tracks like these send sadness in my heart coz it makes me realise how much I miss them days when tracks were more experimental and rough. Simple production with powerful sentiment in the groove. Re: Warehouse ..Well we got the rig and i still have my decks & tunes so it's not beyond the realms Tam , just like back in the day it would be the venue which would be the most important . When i think back those disused warehouses went out with a swansong hosting hundreds of people partying in them before finally being knocked down. The passion the excitement is all evident in all your posts and i know you speak for a lot of people ...it does the tunes justice bro ,respect out to you Tambian -

@@RenegadeSound Absolutely bang on point Rene, I knew Dave was covering a lot if not all of the acid house parties back then. You know me and my mate were behind that black car in a Peugeot 205 following that car and when we arrived at Future people were saying turn it up , turn it up, and of course we did lol. I was playing ESP it’s you at full volume and people were going mental asking what’s that tune you playing. It really was off the scale bro, spectacular epic with a bit of added magic Just for good measure. Always be the best days of my life. Nothing , absolutely nothing will never ever capture my heart like those early days of acid house did. 34 years later and no other type of music gets played in my house. I’m old and set in my ways but I don’t give a fuck lol. I will eventually be doing my own RUclips channel soon, an education for those who missed it and want to try to feel if possible what we had. I will also be doing a full open memory jerker style posts where I play my tunes and explain what raves we’re playing them and who was playing them, you see Rene I Have a secret weapon regarding acid house that NO ONE has.. it’s my book… “STROBE STEPPA, WHATS YOUR NAME, WHERE YOU FROM, WHAT YOU ON?….and the difference between everyone else who’s written a book compared to mine is one MAJOR difference, mine was written between 1988 and 1989 while I was partying like a lunatic lol. I have all original 88 89 flyers in there alongside some cracking memories of write ups that I did when I came home the next day. Even bette it’s all dated, every page from original Rip membership card from Clink Street to the original pressing release of the Roland Tb303 dated 1982. Lots more stories from Sunrise 89 to Clink Street to Dungeons and the rest… it’s my pride and joy and can’t believe I’ve kept it to myself for the past 34 years 😂🤣😂
@@tambian9130 I always thought after seeing a picture of Dave Swindells years ago that he just happened to be in the right places at the right time but no he worked for the Observer so i learned , well talk about aptly named Tam , i've seen countless photos with (picture by Dave Swindells) and not surprised to see his book come out . I should have guessed you were one of the ring leaders of that group of ravers, what a magical night that must have been and not for the first time a cars sound system played its part .,.. Why am i not surprised mate after all like a few people you had been keeping an eye on this new scene that was emerging from the Rare Groove ,and myriad of other sounds played by some of the more informed dj's. That early mix of sounds and styles was important for bringing people together from different backgrounds and acceptance as one , this is something you will know , something you will have seen yourself with football rivalries put aside enemies became friends. I remember the picture of the red book and was aware that you kept a diary , no one is more interested in the contents than me and i've often thought about it because i'm sure it would be well received so i think it's a great idea to create a channel to effectively put the record straight as it's often misrepresented by some dreamers on RUclips . i'm of course willing to offer any advice should you need it , even if its to sound out a idea ? On the subject of flyers you may not be surprised to hear the prices are eye opening with a pal of mine selling appx seventy five flyers for a little short of £1,000 and to think i came out of clubs and cleared the windshield of flyers & binned them, so in that respect i'm really happy you've managed to keep hold of them Tam , stay in touch when you can and stay safe fella and .....Respect to you Tam mate !
