My number 1 is either risk management or psychology. You have no idea how many traders I knew who were extremely well taught and educated just couldn’t handle the pressure.
Demo trading has no emotional attachments to it, even though it's advised to trade with it, I woulda started with live trading way before. Keeping your emotions in check is important as a trader
What if you took it as seriously as a live account? I understand you’ll probably say it’s not the same thing still. But I still think taking a demo account seriously could be just as beneficial.
Demo trading has emotional attachment if you treat it like live account and gather data from every single trade you do. No wonder it has no attachment for all these people when they don’t have any accountability.
I’ve never paper traded and it has taught me important lessons within discipline itself. Day trading is not for all that have heart though..it is serious commitment. When put in stressful positions like losing on a trade it can become frustrating. Because all you can do is say “cmon cmon” for market price to fall back in right directions..lol 😂😊
If you're a beginner and want to try a funded account, my advice is to use a firm that DOES NOT have a time limit to pass. Firms with 30 days phase 1 and 60 days phase 2 will hurt a beginner. You will fail learn bad habits trying to pass within a time frame.

It's really based on what stock your playing with. If your trading a weak stock you gotta use less money otherwise you can easily manipulate the price.
I agree with this except with the no demo trading at all I think a mixture of both small positions and demo is beneficial for new traders so they can learn their strategy without losing money whilst also dipping their toes in psychology
I find a lot of these points interesting, I've also done many of them and I started getting into the stockmarket 3 months ago. I used real cash to start, didn't learn any of the patterns until recently, dropped out to get a full time job, never bought any trading books.... Etc. The only thing I used to grow my 300 dollar acct is news, and the biggest daily movers, I had invested into companies that had big game releases coming up and made a lot that way. I stick to 1 to 3 percent profit per trade and have never lost more than 2 bucks at a time.

Any tips to someone who’s been learning now a few months I work 9-5 and come home and study for 2-3 hours a day then 4-5 each day weekends

Solid gems, I'm learning so much that is setting me up to become a great trader. 🎯
My #1....NEVER USE INDICATORS and learn to read the candles.
Yoh, I use price action by reading candle sticks, u think is better than indicator
Indicators work if you know how they work lol
How are you supposed to read the candles?
They can be super helpful if you are not focusing JUST on indicators. Market structure and candlesticks first, then indicators
Can you please elaborate?, just started learning and there is just so much to absorb, so I'm kinda lost😓, thankyou.
