This is my favorite drum solo. The way Morello just completely owns the pulse and dances around it. He's not playing in 5/4, he's playing around it, with it, on it. Every bass drum hit is simultaneously exactly where it should be while also being where you don't expect it.

Fantastic feel just like the original BUT lacking the frenetic climax Morello achieved and I believe he ditched the 5/4 time at the end of the solo. Still very good and elegant in style.
I don't know why but I love Morello's solo in the track but his live solos which are slightly altered don't quite hit that soft spot. Moreover, Piano is not keeping the rhythm in live versions, it's just the drum so it doesn't feel full as well.

No it doesnt, this sounds far too rehearsed, the drummer has no feeling.
I love how this solo just slowly emerges from the main groove.
This is deceptively harder (much harder) than it looks. The attire was a nice touch also. Awesome job.
