Looks to me like they are on the right side of there road, That's a good thing
@stevesanelli90 We had a blast, cannot wait to share it with you. The bike was awesome, being on the opposite side of the road took Em some adjusting to and we had totally forgotten how spread out everything in America is compared to the UK. Glad your enjoying the content.
That's a nice surprise, Florida on a Harley. Very nice of Harley Davidson, very bad by the hotels reservation people! Don't know if you got chance to visit the Daytona International Speedway track while there, an amazing experience. Bike week should be an amazing experience, you will certainly see some sights!
It was really bad of the hotel, we had spent hours before going confirming all our accommodation. Thankfully we found somewhere else and were refunded. We saw all the sights hehe. Hope you're both doing okay.
Ah, welcome to the states! Wish you were out west so we could visit with you! Ride safe and have fun. Biketoberfest can be a madhouse. Ours, in Arizona, is a bit tamer! Visit us some time!
Biketoberfest certainly had a lot of energy and we heard this was a tamer version of bike week, not sure we would cope haha. We do hope to do more motorcycle trips around the states. Thank you for your support.
To be honest it took a little getting used to but in truth, for the distance and the roads we were covering on this trip, I'd take the glide over the T120. The HD Street Glide was super comfortable and once I got used to it not really an issue. Now if a Rocket 3, 1600 thunderbird or speedmaster was on the cards.... We may be having a different conversation, luggage space would still be a major factor
Oh dear, you've done it now, mate. Emily's reaction to the Harley pillion seat reminds me of when I got a loan of an Ultraglide Classic back in '89. My wife loved it. We could never afford one so there followed years of "putting up with" whatever we bought thereafter 😉.
Sounds like a great memory, a comfortable seat is a must have when covering many miles. None of our bikes have back rests so Em will have to adjust when we're at home haha.
Hi Joe and Emily. When both Els and I were riding Harleys we hired a Street Glide (black) and rode it around the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina. It was a great bike for such an adventure, which included riding it on 'The Dragon'. (US 129). Eleven miles of amazing twisties - 318 curves! Enjoy x
Hi John, this adventure sounds amazing, Tennessee is on our list for sure! The Street Glide was a great bike for touring, extremely comfortable, lots of luggage space, very fit for purpose. Will have a look in to The Dragon.
@@TheWurks me and the wife did Europe on the Africa Twin, never again, bought a Goldwing and did the NC 500, Applecross pass was fun 🤢. Luxury and Power. Love it.
So stoked for you guys! Obviously things exploded for you with the FD crossover, but that effervescent enthusiasm deserves the best! HD would be mad not to trust Joe with a bike!! Brilliant. Very excited. Make sure you show food etc. Can't wait!
Thanks for the comment, not sure we captured much other than bikes and alligators haha Em had some delicious seafood. Looking forward to sharing more of our trip.
I would love to meet you guys and do a ride if you're going to be in the Tampa area. I imagine you will be visiting Weems. Will there be a meet and greet?
I’ve heard that you have to put diesel in Hardly able too’s. Is that correct? 🤣. You will also be fine in the States because all the roads are straight and there isn’t any need for going around bends, which is a big problem with hardly able too’s.
It was surprisingly easy to get used to riding on the opposite side, the Harley was less than nimble when in more built up areas, absolutely fantastic on the larger roads. Thanks for the comment.
Great video guys hope you have a fantastic holiday, just to let you know to walk in America it’s always a mission I was in vegas and we tried doing a pub crawl like in the uk not a chance it’s an hour to get to the next bar 😢😂
haha we went to Vegas a few years back and made this mistake. There was so much to see we got carried away and before we knew it our hotel was a mere dot behind us.
Me and a mate flew to San Francisco a few years ago and hired an Indian chief vintage each for almost 3 weeks and did route 66. The bikes were on special offer so we decided on them and the fact we'd probably never ride an Indian again. Perfect bikes for touring round. Hopefully we'll go again in the near future but probably this time have Harleys. We had a brilliant time.
That sounds great! We’re very much planning next years trips already as this year has been incredible. Its great getting out on machines that you wouldn’t ordinarily consider too! Any particular highlights on your trip?
@TheWurks can't really think of anything that was extra special, the whole trip was brilliant, grand canyon, death valley were unreal. Next time I want to see meteor crater and monument valley. Booked the hotel in advance for when we arrived and day before we flew back, apart from that we just booked motels the day before each one depending where we got to. Flying we flew from Manchester (we live just outside Morecambe) to Dublin, did American customers at Dublin ( very easy) so when we arrived in SF we were straight out and onto the train into the middle of SF and our hotel. We probably were in our rooms while some on our flight were still going through customs. Probably riding route 66 slowly overtaking a mile long train while cruise control on at 50mph hands free while holding my phone videoing everything was good.
We go to Florida a lot from Eastern Canadian Coast. Use a Street Glide when there, but if I had a choice the Road Glide would be choice for interstate driving. The wind and bug protection will be great. We stay Orlando and travel around, Florida drivers are interesting! Take care.
Florida is beautiful, especially when riding over the bridges over the water. We did unfortunately see a lot of people using their phones whilst driving which made us all the more glad we were fully geared up for on the bike. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
Nice of Harley to loan you a bike. With that prescient you should have no problem getting a press bike from Triumph next year for the Barber Vintage Days. 👍 I just arrived in Oaxaca, Mexico where’ll I will be for the Winter, lots of lovely riding here in the mountains. 😎 Looking forward to the next episodes, it has been ages since I have been in Daytona.
Riding in Mexico for the winter sounds incredible not jealous in the slightest haha. We would like to visit the Barber museum at some point. Glad your enjoying the content.
@@TheWurks yes, it can be fun riding here, especially in the mountains of Oaxaca. You should visit The Barber, one of your fellow countrymen works there, and was a famous racer back in the day. If you decide to go, please do let me know and I will make a connection for you. Loving the content, I grew up when Brit bikes were still popular, and my dream bike then was a Gold Star.
Y'all ended up in Daytona for Biketoberfest; so cool! I grew up there and it was fun to see you riding around my old stomping grounds. Can't wait to see the next one and find out where you wind up un the Sunshine State.
Daytona was fantastic, Biketoberfest absolutely insane, we didn't know where to look, there was so much to see. Glad you enjoyed seeing where you grew up. Look forward to sharing more of our trip.
Looking forward to your next video. I love to see you two enjoying my state. I'm up in the panhandel most travelers don't make it up here. But it truly has the most beutiful beachs in the state. If you do let me know.
Had to give that one a Google, you are very North. We do plan to tour more of the USA so will be sure to announce it if we're ever up your way. Thanks for commenting, glad your enjoying the channel.
welcome back to the US...remember which side of the street to ride on...LOL...riding a Harley wearing your Triumph sunglasses....perfect....lol..great video!!...
We hope you have a great time in Florida, where about are you going? To our knowledge it is legal in the state of Florida to ride without a helmet. Personally, this is not something we are comfortable with and chose to ride in light weight full riding gear.
@TheWurks going to winterhaven for thanks giving. Hopefully hire something there. Never been before but noticed there is a bike hire place for people's personal rides?. Would love to go to daytona for the swap meet but fearing the distance and laws on turn right on red an all that. 😀

It was great to briefly meet you at Forgotten Angels. The Wurks are always welcome in FL.
It was great to be there, really nice to meet you too.
A good start to a great trip. We loved having you for a visit. Thank you both for my wonderful gift again. I absolutly love it.
You are welcome, we're glad you like it.
Looks like you’re going to have a great trip! Looking forward to riding along with you 😎

WOW!
Hope all goes well from now on, what an adventure, really looking forward to the videos and if you see any BSA's or Triumphs over there
Cheers Dale, we saw a LOT of different bikes, some very unique and unusual builds. Hope you continue to enjoy our content. Ride Safe
Vroom vroom! Nothing like a trip around America on a “American” built motorcycle…😂
Do you find the Harley to be a bit too cumbersome? If given the choice, would you rather do a road trip on a Street Glide, or a Triumph T120?

That XR750 is a sweet bike. I always thought Harley should make a street version. The XR1200 was such a pig.
