Hey bro. Quick question. I have a pair of Intimidator Led 150s. There’s a fan in the base and a fan in the light housing. The light fans on mine never seem to come on. The lights go dark after about 15 minutes. I opened them up. They’re VERY clean. No dust or loose wires. I guess I should replace the fans, right? I found the replacements online. Thanks again for the help!
@@mousepd At first, I was thinking it was the light getting too hot. However, if both of them go off at the same time, that could be another issue. A good way to test them is to put the lights on full intensity with an external fan behind them (a portable AC blower may work too). If they run without any issues, then it's time to replace the fans.
It worked! I placed a fan next to one of the lights. It’s still on after an hour. The other went dark. I’ll order some fans now. You just earned yourself a Human Fan! Peace out
Good review. Something to add would be a DMX demonstration of the fixtures. Big takeaway from me was the dirt around the fan intakes. Good to see, these things hold up well. I have 4x 260's 2x 375Z's and a single 475ZX which was a significant investment, especially with cases and rigging. Just getting started with them, they seem to be built fairly well and I have wondered how well they will hold up. This is a good reality and experience based video, not a bunch of BS to get Chauvet to sponsor you. Well done sir, much respect.
Yeah. I noticed all the dirt in the fans too. Took my shop vac to them after doing the recording. I can definitely do a follow up video to go through each DMX channel. Glad the video was helpful
I can’t thank you enough for this review and tutorial.
That's amazing Finn. Thank you!
Thank you!
My pleasure. Thanks for watching
