I am 100% thankful for both Liquicity and having the opportunity to do a b2b again with Flite, but most importantly having the ability to be there with all of you guys. I love you all and I hope to see you guys again next year!
28:25 yours truly got handed the mic. Literally one of the greatest moments in my life. Flite, Boxplot, Fava, thank you all for an experience I will NEVER forget.
Very disappointed with the set tho :( only like 3 songs that I love these 2 for, not the mess they where playing :( Shame hope there solo sets are better
The sand was there to solve the heavy mud/uneven ground problems created by sogy soil and heavy machinery during the build up. Normally there is no sand, unfortunatly the weather messed this up.
There is Just one thing i want to Say I fkin LOVE Neurofunk i listen to it on a daily basis BUT ... when I see Flite and Boxplot ... i want to hear sounds " Flite & Boxplot - Sunroad (ft. Audioscribe) " When I GO to LIQUICITY events I love the diversity that each stage always has to offer but mainly the chill colorful and loving sounds of the liquid DNB, This years Liquicity was turned on its head by all the DJs because didnt matter what stage you went they all did the same ....This is not a Rant just my and a lot of other attendees 2 cents to the 2019 event. To add to this ... I understand that this was a closing set that kinda required more energy :P
I absolutely agree with you, I felt the same. Boxplot is one of my favorite artists and I wanted to hear him play his tunes and stuff with a similiar mood. This set was kinda dissappointing tbh in that regard. Not saying I dont like the music they played, just expected something else. Also Solar was supposed to be more chill like 2018
Not gonna lie I agree with you guys as well, but the thing is that we were closing out Solar Stage and plus Katie Koven was going absolutely INSANE before us. So in order to keep the energy levels hype, we had to go strong in the beginning. We did manage to at least tone things down somewhat in the second half of our set, but we wanted to go absolutely into it throughout our set. I am sorry you guys didn’t fully like our set, but hopefully with this context it’ll give you an idea what Flite and I had to deal with 🙂
I definitely respect that--as it was the final set on that stage on the opening night of the festival, we felt we needed to match the vibe and extra high energy. We both played solo sets that weekend that were completely different from this b2b, so we felt free to tear it up here. No regrets on this, it was amazing fun. We're both DJs on top of producing what we like, so naturally we like playing fun stuff when we get the opportunity ;)
@@JustinHawkes yeah true ... the evening / closing sets are supposed to be like this id say :P and Also I really like the work you did together ... I am just comparing the tunes / vibe and selection from previous festival and now :) Lunar was Classic dnb jungle , Solar was full of liquid and love and galaxy tended to get the dancefloor harder dnb :) No hate guys You were GREAT !!!!!!!!!
I know I'm late but it's "Twenty One Pilots - Heathens (Magnetude Bootleg)" It's not officially released so you can only find it on soundcloud/RUclips as far as I know.
Love it, but I love it more when artists have the confidence to play their style of music. Boxplot and Flite for me have produced some of the best liquid DnB tracks in the last year or so. Stick to the genre of their tunes live! Had to go 30mins until of their bangers come on. Had a couple of liquid artists I've seen live do that. Liquid works perfect live, stick to it :).
Energetic sets like these are rare and I wonder why that is. There has to be some kind of psychological formula behind it. Or maybe exactly because there is not formula. Edit: for a set to be a set like this the minimal components must be a DJ or a DJ duo having a good time behind the decks and being energetic themselves. The second component is at least ~20% of the set must consist of classic tracks.
> Energetic sets like these are rare and I wonder why that is It's all in your head, you hype it up because you're excited to hear these guys play. There is nothing objectively high-energy about this set (at least that's my view).
