I watched this as a teen and remembered it left a distinct imprint on me ( as I picked it up on a whim back then ) and wondered if the same would ring true as an adult.. it’s been profound re experiencing it to say the least!

I really wish Yorico performed for more anime songs. It seems like this and the Black Cat OP are the only ones she's done. Her vocals are some of the most beautiful that I've heard in an anime song, and the percussion, guitars, and piano in this song supplement her voice perfectly.
Its kinda odd, but I never noticed the heavy bass work of this song until I listened to it with headphones. Nice to hear some complex bass and not have it washed out by the rest, although the entire song is great!
I feel like Speed Grapher would definitely enjoy a 'reboot' along the lines of the Sailor Moon reboot or the Fruit Baskets one. Dunno this show is already perfect, just imagine updated visuals and junk!
Glad you mentioned Ergo Proxy, it and Speed Grapher are what the mid-2000s were but other anime I loved are Requiem for the Phantom (2009), Gilgamesh (2003) and Texhnolyze (2003)

I know I'm 9 years late but is "blue dawn" the name of the song? iirc the show had two ending songs: the first one being "hinageshi no oka" (hill of poppies) and the second one "break the cocoon".
