Here's my fail-safe strategy that builds upon your idea about giving your favorite products: Go to Sephora and buy at least one item for your friend. Then, ask a sales associate (or the person who rings you up at the register) to put what you've bought in a nice Sephora shopping bag, explaining that you're giving it as a gift. Ask him or her as nicely as you can if it's possible that the bag include some samples, to round things out. And ask if it's possible to have the bag finished off with with Sephora's tissue paper and ribbon. I've done this many times, and never been refused. For example, last year, I applied this strategy for my daughter's bridal shower to make favors for our guests. I bought each guest a $6 sheet mask. That's all! But the sales associate put each one in a black shiny Sephora bag, with samples, and made the bag look amazing with the red tissue paper and the ribbon. Our guests flipped when they each received a Sephora bag with those goodies in it. One suggestion: I think it helps a lot if you can ask for this during a slow time at Sephora.
great video! I love how excited you get when describing things. I wore that Clinique perfume eons ago... I guess now I'll have to pickup a new one! Oh, and it e-licks-er! Lol!
