Materials list:
2 chest
1 hopper
2 water buckets
1 lava bucket
9 signs
20 fletching tables
20 beds
26 glass blocks
6 torches
1 iron door
2 buttons
38 wooden trap doors
About 15.5 stacks of any solid blocks that don't burn (992 solid blocks) (Examples: Smooth stone or cobblestone)
About 9.5 stacks of any leaves (You can get leaves by mining them with shears)

Where do I find the materials needed
Your farms are really resource friendly and the short sentence guide of every step no matter how simple it is, really helps me to get the base design in and leaves plenty of room for customization if the need arises. Thanks ❤
If you see a lot of cats spawned and not iron golems, try taming 5 cat and put them to afk at the afk place [put them to sit] that will make it so you get more iron and the spawn rate of iron golems🙃

Should I put them somewhere like on the grass under the farm, in the AFK area, or should I put them on the leaves that are above the beds?

@@denisepostma523 I tamed five cats and hooked leads to them and guided them on top of the leaves that are on top of the beds
I did it but nothing is spawning now. Not even the cats

In survival I think adding the water and lava first made this build INCREADIBLY HARD. I suggest waiting to add water and lava until later in the video.
Yeahhhh...I slipped and fell into the lava and lost all my building supplies and gear halfway through...🤦♂️😂

Another great JC farm! Hot tip: follow the tutorial exactly haha. I tried to take a shortcut and put a fletching table in front of the villager each time I got one into the farm, to make the pairing easier, but this broke the farm and I had to redo the bed and fletching table placements anyway.
Was just thinking about this with the fletching tables. Won’t do that now. Am placing beds as each villager arrives though. Hope that doesn’t break it. It’s taking ages.
Weird, I didn't read this til after I built it that way and it works great. I'm even still short 3 villagers...

Thank you for all your bedrock build videos! Clearly explained, easy to follow as always! I’ve recently gotten back into playing the game and your videos have been priceless. This was my first ever successful iron farm build in bedrock. Works great! Only thing I did differently was to add a small enclosure of leaves on top of the beds and sat five tame cats in there and closed them in with leaves. Oh and lightning rods on all enclosures 😂 keep up the awesome work 👏

I’ve been tempted to build this one but the old one you did still works very well and I mean now I have nether armor and tools so I wouldn’t need the iron as much but to know the farm works just as good is amazing!

I've been making and remaking iron farms over the past few days I'm so happy this one works thank you! I was getting so tired of transporting villagers back and forth and having them escape or die :')
Built this farm easy to follow guide and worked with no issues. Having the 5 tamed cats sat down has helped the drop rates .

This is the first time I've built a iron farm and got it to work on my first try so thanks jc for making very clear instructions.
how did you get it to work? i built it block for block and even did the troubleshooting by replacing beds and fletching tables and it still doesnt work. The wild cats continue to spawn. I have tamed 5 of them already and still nothing. Not a single Iron Golem. I play on ps4 Bedrock edition. Any advice or help???
@zacharymurphy6292 yes make sure your villagers are not wearing green because they won't link to the workstations and also make sure there are no beds or villagers within 100 blocks of your farm. Also make sure all villagers are linked up to the correct workstation. And it should work

tips:
Tame at least 5 cats, and put them inside(mybe on top of bed), iron golem spawn rate will increase significantly
you can create villager trader hall that produce iron as well. in my world, i had 40 villager that can be use to trade, and it produce iron at the same time. it spawned 3 iron golem at time.
Should I put the cats on the beds or on the leaves above that?

@@rnseth101you can also put the tamed cats under the farm, my friend and I, when we make this build, we enclose the entire underneath and use bottom slabs or carpet underneath to prevent spawning and light it up well… and have the cats in that area

I built this today (02/17/24) and it works like a charm, some things I did before it was finished was that I already made a breeder farm the day prior so I wasn’t low on villagers and while building the iron farm I had tamed 5 cats so I don’t get cat spawns, works like a charm! Thank you for the tutorial

@@KeepSmokingTheOpps really depends on how lucky you are with spawn rate as they do vary
All the other iron farms I have previously built in my time it took at least 3 or so try’s to get it working but this one took me one! Showing how easy and precise it is to follow aswell as being a perfect design. I have only got one minor change tho that really doesn’t matter. In the video you made the walls around the water 3 high when it only needs to be one high and then leaves and it still works perfectly. Thanks JC!!

bro legit did the whole farm, long story short was about to give up hope till i realized i was missing a single bed lol this is the best, most consistent iron farm in survival ive build yet, you defiantly earned my sub!

@@thecuphead9313did you put the beds and work stations in the exact order and if you did make sure you build it away from any villages also try leaving the area and switches it from Hard to Peaceful and back to hard and run back to the farm mine was bugging out until I did that seem to have worked

Just completed the farm, it didn't work at first but i just redone the work stations and beds, it spawned iron golems immediately! I would recommend people just take it slow and minecarts are the way to go to transport Villagers. Good luck! And thank you ❤🎉

As of 1.20.41 Bedrock PS5, this farm works. I made this farm on the 8th of November 2023. When i first made this iron farm I encountered an issue where cats would spawn, but no iron golems.
So I tamed the 5 cats and placed them next to the farm. But, there was no iron golems spawning. So I tried to redo the beds again and that failed too. Finally I tried to set up the workstations again by placing them with the correct villager it pairs with, and voila the farm worked instantly. Thanks JC!!
This one comment saved me. Thank you! I built this days ago, did the cats, didn’t replace the beds but just changing the workstations around worked. For some reason some of them wanted different jobs

I had the same. I did some research and apparently if you sleep in one of their beds they swoop their workstations. I was sleeping in the thief bed to skip the night 🫣

I think you need workstations that are full blocks. Is this true?
December 18, 2023 on the Xbox platform. Works great, just built and used the lectern as the work station trying to find fether touch. About to build an auto surgery cane farm as well.
There is a very easy sugar cane one but it requires a lot of bonemeal.

This one looks good, but the last iron farm you showed me how to build is pumping out iron like crazy. I don’t think I’ll ever need to switch it up. Good to know there’s another easy alternative though.

What are the hourly rate for this farm if you know.
I don’t know, because I usually just afk there over night or when I go to work. So it’s always full. I need to add another chest.
I used your breeder before I started making this farm and it did wonders. I just fed the villagers and waited until the babys became villagers in my afk spot😂👍🏼
For me it wasn’t working and but I found that placing two more beds of the other beds (layered bed,leaf,solid block,bed, leaf) and taming 5 cats and putting them around made it work very effectively

Hey Jason, I love your tutorials. I’ve made many, many of your farms. My friends say that I basically carry our realm on my back because of it. On this farm, I was wondering, don’t the villagers need to be able to reach their beds? I made your previous iron farm, and it’s been working great so I have no need to build the updated version. But in the old version, I had to break out the glass that separated the villagers and their beds, so that they could sleep and then the golems started to spawn. It is possible that an update has changed this, but I also have a trading hall set up with about 30 villagers, all linked to beds. But they can’t actually get to their beds, so iron golems don’t spawn. I was just curious about this detail, thank you for all that you do! You are a master engineer at Minecraft!
they dont really need to reach their beds, the beds just have to be in their line of sight
@@jillharrison8484 They don't even need to be line of sight. I have a similar setup to this, but my villagers are all under the farm since it doubles as my trading hall. I used silentwhisper's farm. You have one "spotter" villager up top, the rest can be below to make them easier to access. Beds are still all floating above the water.
Do they have to be fletching tables? If not, can you mix and match work stations to make this a trading hall as well?
You can mix it up, not sure why everyone uses fletching tables - must be the cheapest workstation to make or something.

I just made this and I enjoy it, but how do I stop the iron golems from spawning outside the farm? it's happened a few times in the maybe 30 minutes I've had it finished. Do I just place more leaves? but for how far? Never mind, I suggest adding an extra 6 lines of leaves on the side the villagers kind of overlap a little to fix this problem
happened to me too, make sure theree are now villagers, beds, annd workstations around the farm
Works like a charm. Cats getting burned is a little disconcerting, so will try the tame method.

Not if you tame ten cats and park them on top of the leaves. But if MC didn't want us killing cats they wouldn't drop string, so....someone on the dev team hates cats. Lol.

Hey! I had built one of the older iron farms for 1.19 and it worked up until recent. even after I had updated to the newer version of the game it still worked just fine. I was in the middle of constructing a second layer to the farm too and it worked just fine. Now all of a sudden it stopped working. Does anyone have any tips on fixing this?
They only work on the top most layer now so I would imagine unless you completely finished building it it would have stopped ❤️

There aren’t any iron golems spawning in the farm, but cats are. I don’t know if maybe they’re spawning somewhere else (caves or something?). Please help
You need to make sure that villagers are able to reach their job block and iron golem only spawn near villager beds and they don't spawn in peaceful difficulty
Tame 5 cats, make them sit in the afk spot. That should make the "village" hit the "cat limit".
Nice farm. One question tho. If you build this farm 100 blocks above the ocean, do you still need the leaves?

I think so, the leaves are to prevent golems from spawning on the beds, which they still could do above the ocean.

Golems can spawn on beds, hostile mobs cannot. Different spawn rules, different designs. @@GhostCakes

For anyone who cant get the golems to spawn and tamed the cats i used smithing tables i stead and they worked i dont know if other jobs will work but fletchers weren't doing the trick

HOW TO FIX IRON FARM 1.20+ (bedrock)
Replace all beds, make sure not to stack them (somehow not valid anymore if you brake blocks underneath it)
Make sure to see green sparks on the bed. Its no problem if you need more space than before, just needs to be around(ish) under the villagers.
count your villagers if they are still 20 (name them to count easier). if not 20 anymore feed them 2 bread per 1 villager.
With this fix, the farm worked on my realm and on my creative world again! hope this helps and you can hear the classic golem-gets-hit-by-lava-noise again ;)
edit: somehow it works much better when replacing beds during DAYTIME!

For everyone who wants to build this in a cold biome (i.e. snowy taiga/frozen ocean/ice peaks), here's how to prevent the water from freezing in the spawn area/water system:
- Replace the block where you place the water with a dirt block.
- After you place the water, place a seagrass. You can mine seagrass with shears.
- That means the four corners, and the 36 blocks between the 'triangles' that you've just made in the corners
Also do this for the collection system. So the block in the opposite corner to the hopper should be a dirtblock with a seagrass.
This will prevent the water from freezing

You have to make sure that the capacity of villagers there should be 20. Not less, not more. And 10 beds.
Someone said you need to tame 5 cats, then make them sit and that helps.
This help a lot in my world now I can work on my red-stone build with out going mine for iron.
