    Awesome job! Do you have a part number for the motor you used?

    Did you build the drum or buy it? If so how did you lay out the teeth

      Built it. 6" steel pipe with 3/4" bar stock I cut down to 2" each. I just kinda laid them out until they all fit in a pattern

      It's been a few years since you built this, how has it held up and what hydraulic motor did you use?

    Did you run any support down the center inside the drum on the shaft? How has it held up? What rpm and torque range were you going for?

    • @zmnypit
      @zmnypit Год назад +1

      Used a plasma cutter to cut circles from 3/8" plate. Welded them to the shaft then inserted into the pipe. Rpm was pretty low I'd have to go back and look at the specs to give a correct answer. I basically looked at Harley rakes Eaton pump and purchased a nearly identical one to run. Here's the build imgur.com/a/4yt92

      @@zmnypit I’m making a 4ft for my mini skid sorta based off of yours got the motor and all. Crazy how hard it is to find carbide teeth and how expensive they are. How did the round stock hold up in the long run? Mines primarily going to be used for gravel drives. Motor I ended up with was an Eaton 104-1024-006 and will run 344 rpm@ 307ft/lb

      @@FishingAddict1 held up just fine for what I was doing with it. Only used around my house

      @@RichardDunbar I’m building direct drive with a recessed motor inside the drum.
