In today’s video we compare the three watches that are considered by many as the Holy Trinity of Swiss Sport Watches.
The watches belong to @Watches.in.Singapore and the voice over has been done by him as well, as it’s only fair that someone who has spent considerable amount of time with these three watches give his thoughts on the matter.
Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711 vs AP Royal Oak 15400 vs Vacheron Constantin Overseas 4500v

Frankly VC overseas has the most versatility among the three, with its easy straps change and mesmerizing blue dial, it's mine grail watch.

but also a few problems, i think vachoren should have tapered the wristband to the clasp as its a bit chunky, also the 4500 dont have an anti reflection coating on their saphire glas which is really annoying tbh

@@HustlerTrickipedia Vacherons maim problem is lack of marketing and hype. Nautilus is not that good watch yet people buy it cause its hyped thats all. When you compare them VC is superior to others in every single category and thats a fact. The AP is my second favourite. VC is a porsche its great in wverything, AP is a lambo is great but it lacks somwthing and PP is a ferrari it has the name but lacks the pace.

@@stefanmolnar4345 I support everything you say BUT, ferrari make fucking blistering quick cars. Like very very very very very very very fast cars and to imply they dont and its all namesake is insulting. Also I prefer nautilus over AP RO but thats all down to opinion.

I’ve owned all three. The Nautilus feels the cheapest, in part because the clasp is reminiscent of early Rolex clasps-thin stamped metal. And the Nautilus is a scratch magnet.
The Audemars 15202 is lovely, and has an excellent and extremely comfortable bracelet.
The VC OS 4500V wins from a versatility perspective, given it’s quick strap change ability. It’s movement is gorgeous and it feels great on the wrist.
The VC is very much an under the radar watch and isn’t frequently recognized.

Good vid and what a three watch lineup! To me the Vacheron is the perfect blend of all the best features and none of the bad ones (relatively speaking only of course 😉). It also has the advantage of being the youngest design and thus has all the modern refinements we now expect in great luxury stainless sports watches - best in class dial, great in house movement, amazing movement hand finishing, easy adjustable bracelet, quick change strap system, 2 extra straps + deployant buckle included, anti-magnetic to high gauss level, Geneva hallmark case and movement, sapphire case back w/right-sized movement for the case, 150m water resistance, solid twin trigger clasp, screw-set links, incredible bracelet finishing, etc.

Great video. I think you also hit on exactly why Patek is going to discontinue the 5711 for an updated model. The 5711 still wins as the favorite. But the newer watches have better attention to detail and Patek knows they have to up their game. A refresh with improving details on the 5711s would just alienate all the people that already own one.

A couple years later coming back to this video, I have collected the blue 5726 nautilus, blue 15500 RO, black 4500V overseas. You were right about the Overseas, it wears the biggest, and it's very top heavy. It just doesn't sit well on the my wrist, and when ever I think about changing to the rubber strap, it's nowhere as comfortable and light as my aquanaut. It's supposed to be the jack of all trades, but it feels more like a master of none. Another thing I noticed about the Overseas is that the sapphire glass looks dirty very easily. I'm guessing it has to do with the dial being so reflective, so every time I look at the watch, I'm thinking "let me wipe these finger prints off". For the Nautilus, much of the criticism was that the bracelet was not up to par, however, mine came with the new upgraded one, butterfly clasp with quick micro adjust. I think it easily has the most comfortable bracelet now. Size wise, it's the most modest and will fit most wrists well. The Royal Oak, what can I say... it's fantastically bling. How the light bounces off of it, it's amazing. So for me, it's Nautilus > RO > Overseas.

Integrated bracelets.... There's other top tier Swiss sports watches. These three are just obscenely hyped and popular right now. They're beautiful, obviously.
I do wish the overseas had a smaller size with the same dial layout as the 41mm.... Maybe with it's own thinner movement to keep the proportions. The smaller version looks totally different. I think it wins fans down on dial and bezel.... The distinctive cases of the others help even it out. 50mm water resistance doesn't make any sense on a sports watch.

4500 blue crushes the weird looking 5711. So much hype for the Nautilus and as your review showed it is disappointing in many individual ways. It’s probably only the hype factor that compels people to say/think/believe that it looks good. The Overseas by comparison is instantly the best looking out of the three watches, and this is evidenced in the opening seconds of the review with all three shown side by side. Some watches take time to get used to. I used to hate the Royal Oak until I saw one - then I feel in love. Once I had my ROs, I still couldn’t understand the Nautilus. I thought that Patek’s dress watches were way more beautiful. However, once I spent some time with my Nautilus, I realized that it’s the most comfortable watch I own. The way it moulds to your wrist makes it wear like a second skin, and the way the dial and bezel play with light is stunning.
I still prefer the Royal Oak’s design, but I now understand why so many also love the Nautilus.

VC overseas all day! It’s a bit ridiculous for the other two’s dials to not look amazing in daylight as sports watches at such high prices

If you’ve seen a Nautilus or RO dial in daylight, you wouldn’t be saying this.

@@Kr0nicridah Fair enough, I have yet to see them outside of interior boutique lighting or on a cloudy day outdoors. But I still think the overseas dial is on another level.

Overseas gets my vote hands down. It's also a bargain (for now) compared

its still a 40-45k watch, not really a bargain imo, even when you compare it to a ap, pp

These three are great choices for people who prefer a more vintage look. They go very well with sideburns and bell bottom trousers. But if you’re after something more modern, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

Why oh why is the nautilus your favorite... honestly the VC beats both the others in EVERY regard.. Singapore is just full of people who make safe choices. Everyone just wants the nautilus because its hot. sad.

VC is best. PP is 2nd. AP is a very distant 3rd (and shouldn’t be considered as part of the holy trinity any longer imo).
