The Ableton Push for me was a gen 1 device. Great, but like every gen 1 device, it has quite some stuff that can be improved. So I waited for Push 2 and oh boy, did it not disappoint. It's basically the best dedicated DAW controller I've ever come across.
Bruh, awesome video as expected. Myself being an old head, I went more of the hardware route initially. Then in 2015 I went the Suite 9/Push2 route. Definitely can say my creativity increased as a result. Since then, I’ve focused more on hardware again in conjunction with Live. Looking at it as my finalizing process, of which Ableton is GREAT. Keep up the great research and content. ✊🏾✌🏾👍🏾
I'm pretty much looking to do the same. I'm about 95% sure imma go with thr mpc one to tascam model 12 to ableton live. I'm just looking for any reason not to pull the trigger on that exact setup by the time I get my money right. Oh yea, that + the akai midi controller.
The Push 2 was a dope controller for me when I was in my Ableton Live bag no complaints. Once I got my hands on MPC X I never looked back, just my personal preference. Can’t wait till you drop the SP-303 vid, your videos are some of the best on RUclips period.
Learning the abelton push or push 2 is probably the only chance of me ever wrapping my head around getting a workflow for abelton so maybe one day I will pick up one for cheap

The push, a scarlet 2i2 and an Alesis V25 were by first bits of gear. I am now buried in even better stuff, but I refuse to give those up. Granted, the 2i2 is more off in the corner these days. The push, those is still a daily driver. I even use it to make parts for whatever is going on with eurorack at the moment.

Regardless I always end up in ableton and on the push 2, work flow is just too seamless, We need that Push 3.

I'm guessing the presence of the Akai Force with it's continuing updates, advanced features, Ableton Live integration, and the fact it is also standalone could be the reason there is no Push 3 because the Force IS the Push 3 feature-wise, perhaps. In my opinion, it already makes the Push 2 look obsolete.
And then Akai asked Ableton if they want to make a Push 2. Ableton said "uhh, we're ok" And then bam! They release Push without them! And now the Push 2 is as old as last year's 4th of July used charcoal! It's the outdated killer! By the way, My Akai Force thinks it's a standalone Push. Shhh, don't tell him the truth and spoil his thunder........

@@travishall4740 I used the MPC 500 alot Lol..Thats where I learned most of my tricks and work-a-rounds..As much as folks hate the 5000 that might be my favorite one..Its layout with the knobs and faders is perfect for beat making..The features are still modern enough to use today..Its so simple to use and navigate..The EQ is crisp..And the synth page is so simple you can sound design for days..It has a bad rep cause all the hype stuff they claimed with the first OS..But when the update came out Akai really threw everything at it to make up for there mistake..They didnt nail everything but they almost did..I used the 4000 too and thats awsome but there is a learning curve..The 5000 is so easy to use you can jump right in and get busy.
abelton push is literally them stealing the idea for the monome. look up videos for the monome, daedelus even plays them. but the monone is the exact same thing from 4 years earlier at least
