Thank you for that honest review. You would probably like the LGV master pro stock. It has a much higher cheek piece. Your a true star shooting prone with your sore neck! Lovely rifle. Enjoy your weekend.
Hi Jeff, Thank you for your latest review. I've always liked the Walthur LGV and LGU ar rifles. I've always thought they were solid, fantastic, very well built/ engineered air rifles. I'd say in the territory of Air Arms, Weihrauch and Feinwerkbau's. I've read their triggers aren't great, though that could be personal opinion. I know commonsense tells us that underlevers will be more accurate than a break barrel. However, I've always preferred the look of a quality, solidly built break barrel, which is what you have there. When I bought my Weihrauch HW80K new, I thought the stock was awful and not worthy to carry such an iconic action. I stepped back and after much thought, tooing and froing, I decided to make my own. I wanted to make Mr Weihrauch proud, to show my passion for his air rifles and and when completed, sent him some pictures. I didn't recieve a reply. However, when they improved their stocks fairly recently, theirs were very similar to mine, 😊! Thank you for showing us your air rifle, it looks fantastic, well capable and lovely to own. Best wishes, Ian.
Interesting video, regarding your stock I’ve had similar issues on my HW100 and HW99. I’m currently waiting for the return of my HW100 from “Nobby” he’s cut the stock and added an adjustable cheek riser, he does absolutely great work, a real craftsman. The pictures he’s sent of the completed work look absolutely factory. Very reasonable cost of £90 which includes the cost of the return postage. My HW99 has a much smaller stock, although I’d like the same modification I’ve made my own cheek riser using Milliput expoxy putty and some plastic waste pipe to form the final radius. It works really well. At the moment it’s attached using a Beartooth neoprene sleeve. Although I’m considering screwing directly to the stock. Alternately Brownhills sell a plastic adjustable riser that screws on, which is where I got the idea from. Keep posting I love your content. You can contact Nobby through his Facebook page, pics on the site. Should get my rifle back on Tuesday.
Hello .if you trow a breakbarrel hard on the bag or something .great change you get low shots , and close it and hold the barrel a second under pressure .to stop vibrations from closing .,also is the silencer to narrow , always get a caliber higher on a airgun , 177 get a 22 . 22 get a 25
I was lucky enough to pick up an LGV Completion Ultra in .177 and an LGU Varmint .22 just before they were discontinued. I was just out shooting the LGU this afternoon. That gun is so accurate and the shot cycle so mild it feels like somethings missing when you shoot it. Most accurate gun I have followed closely buy the LGV and the HW97K/ HW95N right behind those. I have an Air Arms Pro sport that should be here Next Friday and will see where in fits in. First one I received last Friday had issues and is going back, but it was shooting really good. I plan on getting Videos out on each one soon
Nice rifle 😁but little disappointed about the accuracy. I own the 10 meter LGV target rifle from the sixties with the barrel sleeve. Extreem accurate and perfect trigger. Shoots pellet on pellet 👌Thanks for showing, Cheers!
You should be pellet on pellet at. 10m , I shoot HFT competitions and need a 5pence group at 55 yards to be competitive. Not always getting that though with out doors conditions 🤔
@@noelwallace5257why should he be shooting pellet on pellet, because the range is 10M. The range has nothing to do with Gun, pellet and shooter accuracy.
@@noelwallace5257 the only thing I know that is the norm in this sport is that everyone shoots pellet on pellet at any range in any conditions. Would be nice to see a vid of your 5pence groups at 55 yards. 👍
Hi, recently bought an LGV master pro which seems to have a better stock for using scopes, might be worth hunting for one ? Only shot mine once as yet but does seem nice to shoot with really smooth cocking and firing cycle. Baracuda 8s were very tight loading so using the AA fields, going to put some different pellets through it but the AA fields do seem a good match. Don’t worry about off days we all have them, thanks for the video, all the best Mark.
I've a LGV Master Pro 177. Very accurate. Had to rebuild with new piston seal front bearing and rear bearings Got the original trigger with 2 adjustment screws. I shoot mine with a mod added and 25mm groups consistently at 35yds. Love it to bits. Must add its in pristine condition beats my HW97KT every time with Barracuda 8 or JSB Exact. Cracking gun Trevor
Hi, is it a very heavy airgun? It seems to be a very beautiful airgun, please let me know about the weight, thank you so much and have a good evening Xavier
I think that you can do work at the pistol grip to fit your hand Give the stock a oil finisch .even a cheeck piece is not impossible . Or someone like tilly stocks can do that Or ask a stoc
cracking rifles mates got an lgu and it’s dead accurate if you do your job right . trigger needs a. it of work on it in my opinion but he likes it at that’s what counts . so you not going to do a video naked are you 🤣🤣🤣🤣 i have not seen that done before so would be unique. no apology for shooting required my friend. some days just ain’t your day and i get a lot of those 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
Hi,i have a lgv competition ultra and it can group 5pellets into one hole at 25m using jsb 8.44 4.53.Clean the barrel and use the 4.53.mine has a Weihrauch silencer on.Something to keep in mind i only use 3-9x40 and mount it as low as possible using hawke one piece mount, think the medium height is perfect for the 40mm

I guess it is quite heavy as most springers are. I just weighed it and it's 5.3kg with scope and moderator.
