Frenkie is a Unique player, Because he is a #6 who can do multiple jobs. Not only can he Carry the ball out of the defence With his passing ( like Busquets, Jorginho, kroos for example) he can also dribble out of defence ( like modric, kovacic, iniesta) he can keep it simple, dictating the tempo, or he can force something With a dribble. He also has the defensive instinct And positioning to break up And intercept. A very very complete cdm Wich is a rare breed. He still has alot to learn, But he got so much potential. I can say he is better than both kroos And modric were at age 21.

agree but he rarely plays cdm, more like lm. Ziyech (lm) Frenkie (cdm) and Donny vd Beek (rm) is the right midfield in my book (and also according to the Cruijff doctrine) but the trainer apparently disagrees.

@@Igor19485 I'm glad they signed him but Rakitic will bench him for now lol. But that's normal for signed talents in their first year (e.g. Neymar, Dembele). However, if they show they can handle it according to the standards, they'll play more (Arthur).
@@alfarq Nah I doubt it. Bartomeu promised him first team football and that was one of the reasons he chose Barca in the end. Rakitic is getting older and I wouldn't mind if he left this summer at all.
@@Igor19485 It's not a bad thing to start your first year mostly on the bench as a young fellow. Remember, he's only 21 years old and also just human; he needs time to get used to Barcelona, the club and the expectations. According to his dutch interview, he was promised first team playing time but he doesn't expect to overrule for example Sergio immediately. Also, I wouldn't want Rakitic to be sold, he's a good 12th man and has a positive influence outside of the field. I'd rather see Prince, Vidal and Denis Suarez leave to create more room on the midfield for the next generation to grow. Rakitic and Sergio are enough as mentors for Aleña, Riqui, Arthur and De Jong. I hope Barça will also sign De Ligt of Ajax, he's actually more needed than De Jong.

There are plenty of videos claiming to know and show why Barca wanted him and what makes him so good, but they dont properly show it or are just all talk about defining characteristics that really showcase nothing. (if this makes sense)

Can you do Bruno Fernandes, brilliant player, huge part of Sporting Clube Portugal. He’s a great talent and has big clubs keeping an eye on him like Juventus, Valencia etc. In my opinion he will be a big player later on in his career, he has potential to achieve a lot.

I live in Amsterdam and the thing I think and noticed is that he knows where to run with the ball whenever there is pressure on him. he create and makes spaces and he also reads like where the opposition is gonna pass the ball next ,that gives him a HUGE advance ,also his short passing is spectacular ,left and right foot ,can defend very well ,long passing as well ,he has pretty much everything and he will eventually become a captain for the netherlands or at least the 2 or 3rd

Frenkie doesn't score a lot but people who don't know this player yet... Trust me, his vision, dribbling and ball control are exceptionally good. He also always finds the best passing solution in the toughest situations and perfectly fits Barca's playstyle with his positioning.

It's as if his agility and speed increases wen he has the ball at his feet and he always has his head up and is aware what is in front of him, behind him and to the side of him, giving him the ability to glide past players before playing an accurate well waited pass in whatever direction he chooses
He made his mark obviously against Madrid the other night. This kid could change everything as far as playing out of the back as a #4 or #6 for Barca. But there is no need to change the way Ajax played that night. Total football. And it was amazing to witness. Can’t wAit to see what’s next from him.
