I wanted to live there at one time but I don’t think I could handle the continuous tourist and never ending traffic and paying for over priced food and other necessities. 30A used to be the kept hidden gem. I would live there if it was still like it was during the 90s. Just not the same.
Just keep on posting and it will be even more overcrowded with foreigners and northerners. Loved living there in the 80's and 90's. It's now overexposed and overcrowded and over priced. But I still visit when possible.
I really liked the painting at 7:54 of the bright yellow flowers and the rabbit jumping past them. Who is that artist and where was the shoppe? I am new to the area.
Great video Sabine. Could you talk a bit about how to obtain a permit for walking a dog on the beach? We went there on vacation with our dog and could not find any beaches that allowed pets. It was really frustrating not being able to walk on the beach
Most likely it is because beach communities have found that the E. Coli that was causing beaches to close for days contained canine DNA. Owners tend to be non-compliant with poop pickup when they think no one is watching.
Honestly, you will find roaches but not as often as in hotter climates like South Florida. I personally don’t have a problem in my house, but I have seen them in listings and homes that are vacant in terms of evacuation, you need to evacuate because we are literally on an island so you need to go over the 331 bridge and then you go opposite of where the storm comes from.
@@deannaleechristian4303 - we do have very hot summers but our fall and winters are more seasonal than South Florida. We have a few days where it goes below freezing but hardly ever do we have snow. Our summers however are very hot.
I would rather have the 20 years ago version of 30a, before the overbuilding, pretentious architecture, beach vendors, and lawsuits over public access. That's never coming back!
I used to live in Fort Lauderdale. Very different vibe. Yes more night live and things to do. 30 -A offers a laid-back vibe that may not appeal to everyone, but it has its unique charm.
I'm moving there soon. Fond this video so helpful. Thanks.
Thank you for your kind words. Let me know if you have any additional questions about the area.

Beautiful! Congratulations on being able to retire in this paradise!

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful video. I enjoyed it.
Just so you know, the bay doesn’t let out at lake powell. you have to go through the intercoastal between panama city and PCB!!
Nicely done

Cons......LOL. That's adorable.
Trust me, it’s not as glorious living here as you think lol

Pros: you live around people with a great deal of money. Cons: you must have a great deal of money.
Where do you go if you have to evacuate? I don’t know anyone there. Also are there tons of cockroaches?

Thanks so much! I was thinking this was a warmer climate.
